youth being seventeens main pillar in their concept. although this album is old, i still love it so much. i think it kinda gave the vibe of seventeen at the time. playfulness that comes with youth but also very much the DIY vibe and seriousness they wanted to be regarded with in terms of their craft.
pledis was very broke at the time, so alot of the shots here were in locations of abandoned buildings and empty parks; places they could shoot for free. although they were struggling at this time i also get the feeling they had the so much fun during this era. a bunch of kids (seungcheol only being 20-21 i think) who got to perform on stage, go on variety shows, get a taste of freedom, and meet their fans. they got to do all of this with their bestfriends too.
i get a pulling sense of yearning looking at these photos, like i want to be there with them. i also get a sense of nostalgia. nostalgia in the sense that i know things will never be like this for them or me ever again. just the complete freedom that comes with being a child. but i also yearn but to feel what they felt taking these photos. i want to feel what they felt during this time. pure unfiltered youth that comes with being a boy chasing their dreams, surrounded by friends of the same mind.
