Once Good Smile puts out that Moderoid Shin Getter in October, I'll just need someone to make a kit for Getter Robo Go, and I'll consider this Getter Robo model kit collection finished. Until they start making kits for the Getter 2 and 3 variations. And Emperor.

MJH Getter 1 (Getter Robo Devolution Ver.)
Getter 1 as it appeared in the manga, Getter Robo Devolution: The Last 3 Minites of the Universe.
This kit is actually a bootleg version of the Sentinel Riobot Getter 1 action figure! The build was definitely interesting, and it did frustrate me at points. I even ended up breaking one of the wings during construction!
I fixed it though (obviously)!
The kit has a full internal frame for everything but the head, so it's similar to a MG gunpla.
The clear green parts that came with the kit were super dull, to the point of looking black in some places, so I opted instead to paint them in a super visible metallic green.
I really love the look of this model. Now that it's done, it certainly has a presence like nothing else in my collection. Definitely glad I picked it up. I'd recommend it if you like the look of it, and if you can track it down, especially if you don't feel like paying $500+ for a second-hand version of the official figure.

This is the mini for my new D&D character for my group's new campaign. He's a Goliath barbarian named Potlius "Big Fella" Litmuscriuso. He's a gladiator by trade, and he gets -1 to INT. I based his personality on Dave Bautista's portrayal of Drax the Destroyer.
I hand brushed Vallejo's matte varnish from their mecha color line for the finish, and it turned out well. If it works on models as well as it does on minis, then I'll be able to completely move away from using aerosolized paints in my builds, which is the goal.

Here are various minis I've painted between my last post from 2020 and my more recent Getter Robo posts. I don't know why I forgot to post them.
1. Sigvald, Prince of Slaanesh
Finished in November 2021
2. 3D printed Phyrexian symbol
Finished November, 2021
3. A mini for my DnD character, Grillezebard Fortemps. He's a rogue/Sorcerer, and the build is based on the Red Mage job from Final Fantasy (specifically the version seen in FFXIV)
Finished in October, 2021
4. A guillotine that I gifted to a friend for Christmas
Finished in December, 2020
This is everything I've painted between 2020 and 2022. It's not a lot, bit I was feeling burnt out, and my job was stressing me to the point where I didn't want to do much in my free time. I'm doing much better now.
I don't often work with non-mecha models, but I do like to from time to time.
I'll be working on another DnD mini for a new campaign I'm participating in with friends soon. Aside from that, I have a bunch of gunpla, mecha kits, and minis lined up, as well as a helicopter model. Please look forward to it!

Getter Dragon WIP pictures
Aside from the primer and top coats, this was entirely hand painted with Vallejo paints.
The splotchy paint shown in the fourth picture is a technique based on one developed by MAX Watanabe, which adds depth and texture to the finished model, and is how I paint everything these days.

Bandai HG Getter Dragon (Infinitism)
What a kit! This is without a doubt my favorite out of Bandai's offering of Getter Robo kits. The build quality is fantastic all around, and even includes some gimmicks like moving armor panels when the elbow is bent. It feels incredibly solid. It was also a joy to paint. That said. It does look really good right out of the box if painting isn't your thing.
The deep panel lines and perfect color separation, complete with high gloss plastic, gives it a stunning look right out of the box, and you really don't have to do much aside from assembly if you don't feel like it. Every single seam line is also cleverly hidden as a panel line, which is a nice bonus.
I'd highly recommend this kit for any fan of Getter Robo, or just someone who loves cool robot kits.

Bandai HG Getter Arc - by Dinny-Chin
After 10,000 years, I'm finally back, and I've finished a new model! This time it's Getter Arc. I hand painted it using the MAX Watanabe technique, and since it's a super robot I gave it heavy weathering. I love how it turned out!

SG-92-1 GRAND DAD Gundam - SiIvaGundam
Everyone calls the RX-78 "granddaddy", so I made this one Grand DAD.
The SG-92-1 GRAND DAD Gundam, also known as SiIvaGundam, comes equipped with an arsenal of memetic weapons.
The first of which is the DWN-016>:] Nice Club. In addition to being a blunt weapon, the Nice Club can create a protective barrier of leaves and other foliage around the Gundam, which can be launched at foes as a projectile.
The SiIvaGundam also has two coconut vulcan guns, which fire in spurts, installed on either side of its head. If they shoot ya, it's gonna hurt.
The final weapon installed on the GRAND DAD Gundam are the bean sabers. The stone hilts emit long, curved, green beams of super heated plasma that can slice clean through any metal, so friggin morons beware!
