missed your answer to that ask. the other character was Maxwell from don't starve. they're pretty different characters but his arc in simple terms boils down to 'desperate for recognition after failure, finds an other-worldly power and entity that grants him some of their knowledge to find success, gets manipulated and ends up falling into their world to further their goals and winds up hurting others because of the hurt/manipulation he went through'. so many people only blame his ego and not the fact he was manipulated and tortured for a timespan not really comprehensible in human terms

oh cool kind of knew nothing about dont starve before this it sounds interesting tho. very distinctive art style i remember that about it at least. but yeah definitely seems second nickel worthy to me
