I...tried to make a meme and got carried away and made A Thing that is like partially unfinished because i spent like 3 hours on it and then got tired.
I think this is mostly scientifically accurate but truth be told, there seems to be relatively little research on succession in regards to lawns specifically (as opposed to like, pastures). I am not exaggerating how bad they are for biodiversity though—recent research has referred to them as "ecological deserts."
Feel free to repost, no need for credit

Dexven in the show: hahah we are clumsy and dorky towards each other
Dexven in the books: despite the fact we grew up in different environments we still end up having the same world view as we navigate how fucked up the system is while also facing issues and fears of our own in which we confined in the other about despite just starting to get to know each other for no apparent reason hmm i wonder do we easily trust others or are we just the missing pieces of each other hmm.

Milton Grimm was fr projecting himself on to a teenage girl because, he didn't want to admit that it was by his own fault that he lost his younger brother, by keeping up the same system that his parents kept up in their kingdom to make people miserable for ever after on purpose - and he maybe just perhaps didn't want to admit that he was in the wrong, and that Giles was right about people having the right to go against their fairytales, if they wanted to.
Because, then he would have to admit that perhaps everyone having the free will to take control over their own lives was possible, and that he would have to let go of his way of thinking, that was ingrained into him from a young age by his father, and admit that he was in the wrong, plus own up to his own mistakes for once.
The thing about Milton Grimm is that he was capable of change, except he refused to change.
( which is the eah writers ,having tried to make Milton get redeemed didn't work out, the way that they wanted. Not to mention it was poorly written off as an excuse to excuse him from tormenting a literal kid for not wanting to be like her mom, who was abusive towards her ; who'm had surrendered into the system and had tried to use it to her advantage out of love for her daughter, even if she went the wrong way on, about it.)

Alright, to ao3's soon to be arriving Wattpad Refugees, a basic guide to general user culture:
1.) Unlike Wattpads vote system that let's you like each chapter, the ao3 equivalent kudos only allows one per work. Everyone is generally quietly annoyed about this. To engage with each chapter, you're heavily encouraged to comment. Trust me, it makes people's day.
2.) Ao3 has no algorithm. By default it's latest updated work first. You can find things to your taste through searches, filters and tags.
3.) 'No archive warnings apply' and 'user has chosen not to use archive warnings' mean two very different things. No archives warnings means the work is free from any content that could require a warning tag (character death, graphic depictions of violence, non-con, etc). User has chosen not to use archive warnings means it could contain any of the warning content, be it hasn't been explicitly tagged. Treat it like an allergen. No archive warnings apply is allergen free. User has chosen not to use archive warnings, may contain traces or whole chunks of the allergen. If you're likely to have a bad reaction, maybe don't take the risk.
4.) Speaking of warnings, ao3 has very few restrictions on the type of work that's allowed. Whatever your personal thoughts or feelings on that are, thats how the site is. You're likely to run across some dark subject matters and a lot of people are uncomfortable with reading that. You're well within your rights not like these works and have your opinion on whether they should be allowed, but harassing the authors of such works (or any works) is more likely to come back on you than them. Ao3 operates on a strong policy of 'don't like, don't read'. Use the tagging system to your full advantage to only engage with the kind of works you want to see.
We look forward to welcoming you all and seeing the fantastic works you create. Happy writing!

saw a tiktok of a mother taking her very tiny daughter to an art museum and she’s just walking around going “whoooa” “woooaah” to everything but then they got to a marble statue of a nude woman lying on her back and the girl points and goes “mommy🫵” and i just immediately welled up with tears and all the comments are just laughing about it and of course it’s funny but how are you not insanely moved by the way art connects everyone on earth from a centuries-old sculptor to a toddler in 2023

What are your opinions on the evil queen as a Mother?
Shit mother
I have no idea why some people (specifically on eahtok) think that the evil Queen is actually secretly a much better mother than what we give her credit for!!!!! I mean!!!! Are we seeing the same character here????? Trust me, she is NOT THAT MUCH BETTER than snow white. Heck, the two of them are similarly horrible in so many ways!!!
EQ wanted Raven to follow her evil footsteps despite Raven clearly not wanting that, EQ constantly assumed she knew Raven better than SHE did, and just all around, taking as much autonomy away from her daughter.
But yknow what, I'll give this old lady the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure that deep inside of her, she truly does, GENUINELY love her daughter. That she wants the both of them to bond and be together. Live in the same world together. To be close. She also just wants her to be mold her into something she really isnt.
If I remember correctly, in the back of raven's exclusive sdcc doll, EQ wrote her a letter, about how much she loves her daughter. And how she wanted to take over the entirety of the fairytale kingdom, and shape it into her own, all for the sake of Raven. So she didn't have to live through the same pain she did. Because she loved her. She loved her so much.
And... I believe that. I do. I can see how that could be true. It's a sweet sentiment. But also. With her actions, she ended up hurting so much people. Including her own daughter. Raven wanted to be free from her destiny, but she didn't want to control everyone else. She didn't want her best friends to lose their home. She didn't want the destiny system to be toppled over only for another unhealthy system to take it's place.
And also, I wouldn't be surprised if what EQ wrote in her letter was only part of the truth. Yes, it could be true, to give her daughter a better world to grow up in, was a part of the motive, but I wouldn't be surprised if she also just wanted to take over the world because of a lifetime of pain.
Soooo yeah..... Shit mother. Until she learns to accept her daughter for who she is, and allow her and her friends to live for themselves under NO ONE'S RULE. NOT DESTINY. NOT HER. maybe I'll begin to like her as a mom.

I heard a cover of "holding out for a hero" sung by a man.
Now I can't stop imagining Dexter singing the song. And Raven as his hero. ☕🐛
