I, a disabled person, am giving all my friends (you guys) permission to do the disabled things, call yourself the term, and buy/ask for/rent/etc. the disability object.
Go be disabled. Go use items for your benefit as a disabled person.
If anyone asks, I, a verified disabled person, said you could.
Go now children

1) Neurodivergent means that someones brain is different than the typical "system"; this often interferes with many different things that are not symptoms as well. Yes social comprehension is one aspect of gender, and autism is known for differences in understanding social identities, but having a neurodivergent brain in general means that you are making connections about EVERYTHING that is atypical.
2) i use the aspie/aspergers tag because people who don't know about hans asperger or who are new to autism or who simply prefer that term for their own reasons, are included as well
3) being disabled itself changes your perception of social-emotional identities and how you view yourself.
This post is to support and you made it extremely negative. I'll ask that if you have a bone to pick that you do so respectfully.
AUTISTIC PEOPLE AND OTHER NEURODIVERGENT PEOPLE ARE MORE LIKE TO BE NONBINARY OR LGBT IN GENERAL BECAUSE OF HOW OUR BRAINS PROCESS SOCIAL CONSTRUCTS INCLUDING GENDER THANK

"Yeah but what if i'm faking it all"
I don't care if you are. You don't have to even label yourself as disabled.
Do the things that help. Fake your disability and you'll realize how real it is.
Call yourself abled if it helps, but let your body do what it needs, and sometimes what it needs, is to "fake" a disability
As a disabled person, I'm telling you right now:
Act disabled.
Stop telling yourself you're acting more disabled than you are.
Crawl to clean your room, use a wheelchair when you're "only" at level 3 pain, wear all the wraps and ice packs
Allow yourself to act disabled and you'll see that it helps you a whole lot when you allow yourself to use any and all tools

As its pride month, heres something I wrote about how I feel as a she/they
My gender is grandmother, meaning: yea its feminine and yea it usually means i have a vagina and boobs and im okay with it, but also im so old and tired of everything including gender so its like a shrug in pink.
My gender is the mushrooms you find and everyone says theyre beautiful and pretty and cute and yes theyre those things but theres also so much more than just pretty.
My gender is when people call a ship "she" when yea you can see it as a she, but its not a woman.
My gender is a pink dress, genderless fabric dyed in a color to hold a shape of a womans body but at the end of the day its fucking fabric, it doesnt have a gender.
My gender is like a bird with eyeliner and a pink beak, it may be feminine and beautiful and youll always say she but the bird doesnt know gender, all it knows is to be.
My gender is the color pink, a beautiful shade created of red and white and possibly blue, simply one piece of the light spectrum that we can see that creates the image of everything we deem as feminine, motherly, kind, and of women, however it is not a woman itself. It is one piece of a huge spectrum of light and to see it as feminine is only a small part of what it actually is.
A rose doesnt grow that way to be a girlie object, it simply grows that way and lets the people around it be happy giving it meaning. Only the rose knows its true meaning and what it is.

Parents who hit their kids will never change because that would mean that their parents were wrong, and they can't accept that because the idea that their parents could ever be in the wrong was beaten out of them.

I turn 30 next month so here’s what I learned in my 20s:
—don’t work for startups, they’re always one ‘innovative idea’ away adding ‘sell your kidneys on the black market’ to your job description.
—keeping a collection of basic OTC medicine on you will save your life one day. I recommend Advil, Imodium, and TUMS.
—those little single-use glasses cleaning wipes are 1000% worth the money
—overly self-depreciating jokes just make people uncomfortable, wean yourself off of them
—you can buy dehydrated mini marshmallows in bulk online and they’re a godsend for hot cocoa
—people don’t care if you have fidget toys on your desk they just want to play with them
—try to go to bed BEFORE the existential ennui kicks in
