Din Djarin wasn’t cut out for this. He wasn’t cut out for playing the role of ‘Dad’ or talking to a woman in hopes of pursuing a relationship.
He ignored the scene behind him in the pilot seat with every ounce of will that he had, but the temptation to look behind himself was all too strong. Especially since he knew he’d only find you cooing at Grogu and staring into his wide innocent eyes going on about how beautiful they were while you stroked his cheeks with him responding in his own gibberish speak.
This entire situation the Mandalorian seemed to find himself in felt all too domestic in the most off kilter way imaginable.
He always figured that if he decided to settle down, it would be with a Mandalorian woman that he’d have a human kid with. It certainly didn’t consist of a little green Jedi menace as a son and attempting to pursue an escaped slave turned thief and con artist.
And you were both his bounties— go figure.
Perhaps he was growing soft. Years ago he would have never done anything like this.
When Din was younger he had hunted kids before and women. He had no problem collecting the price on their heads back then. Sure, maybe it made him feel like shit for a couple days but he needed the money.
But now it was as if he had no self control. He was at least able to hand Grogu over for a day or so but when it came right down to it, he couldn’t just leave the little hellraiser in the hands of the Empire. Maybe you were right to fawn over the kid’s eyes like you had, it was probably those same eyes that had thawed something within Din and ripped out any spine he had in the process.
And he didn’t even want to think about how far he went with you.
You were only frozen in carbonite for three days before allowing Peli, of all people, to inadvertently talk him into thawing you and helping you find your way back home.
The mechanic had went on her own little tour inside the Razor Crest when he had stopped by for her to fix some things, and upon her little expedition she stuck her nose where it hadn’t belonged.
In the frozen bounties.
That was when she had spotted you, frozen in carbonite with a look of terror marring your beautiful face.
Peli had immediately gone on and on about how great you were, hanging out with her and the droids to gamble in rounds of Sabacc despite you losing every single time. Then in Peli fashion she had said too much, she went into your sob story, how you were trying to get back home after being separated from your family and seeing your parents killed by stormtroopers right in front of your eyes, and how the bounty on your head was because you had escaped from your slavemaster. So you eventually turned to stealing and conning others in order to survive while you tried to find your way back to your home planet.
”What slave trade was she in?” He had stupidly asked.
”She’s a beautiful young woman, what do you think tin can?”
”The bounty’s too high for an escaped slave.”
”That’s because she left with a little souvenir,” Peli had grinned.
”…What did she take?”
”The bastards cock.”
And that’s why Din Djarin never asked kriffing questions.
Half way towards Nevarro, going through hyperspace. Din had found himself leaving the cockpit and heading towards the captured bounties.
He had flipped through them until he landed on you.
With a sigh, he had unfroze you.
He still remembers the wail that escaped your tense throat and the absolute panic that radiated from you. You were disoriented and blinded from the carbonite and Din had to hold you down to keep you from hurting yourself while you cried about not being able to see.
He had to sooth your panic… something he was certainly not very adept at. But once he had gotten through to you, once he had told you the blindness would wear off, and when he had told you he would help you get back home. Only then, did you calm down.
Little did he know, you lived on an unknown planet in the outer rim, with the strangest kriffing orbital pattern.
So now, almost two years later, you were still with him and Grogu.
There was a particular noise Grogu made behind him that made you giggle in response, and your giggle had made Din’s traitorous heart skip a beat.
He swallowed nervously, keeping his eyes ahead of him in space, once again ignoring the urge to turn around.
Right… there was also that.
It was something that he would forever blame on Mayfeld— if that bastard had just kept his big mouth shut Din maybe would have had a chance of living a life in denial until dropping you off on your home planet only then realizing what had been happening once it was too late.
He was falling for you.
It was so kriffing stupid and made him feel like a teenager all over again. He knew it was ridiculous, he knew it would never happen, but that didn’t stop his thoughts from straying to you or worrying over you whenever you had tagged along on a job.
It was an observation Migs Mayfeld had pointed out during a job he needed help with, and he could no longer ignore his feelings, not with it being said out in the open. The words taunted him, feeling as if they just hung in the air now whenever he was around you.
”Didn’t know you were wife shopping. Looking for a mom for Grogu so you can keep playing house?”
”I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Din had replied.
Mayfeld had furrowed his brow, looking at Mando like he was insane, “Don’t act like I haven’t noticed you hogging her from the moment I stepped onto this ship. I haven’t been able to say two things to the woman without you hovering.”
”That’s not—“
”Alright. Let me ask her out then.”
“What?”
”What. She’s pretty and single, so I’m gonna ask her out,” with that he had headed to the door of the cockpit, putting his hand on the handle to go to the bunker below but before he could open it Mando had placed a hand on the door, holding it shut.
His own actions had shocked himself.
”Interesting.”
Mando hadn’t known what to say, so he remained silent.
”A little advice. Just tell her— who knows? Maybe she has a thing for quiet, brooding Mandalorians.”
He was fucked from that moment on.
”Shifting into hyperspace.”
You hummed in response behind him as he shifted the ship into hyperspace as to continue the search for your home planet.
Din stared into space as the stars zipped past the ship in striking lights of blue. A beautiful sight that’s gotten all too familiar, causing it to lose it’s original charm.
But slowly he spun in his seat to witness one sight that didn’t have the capability of losing its charm.
Just as Din had assumed, there you sat in the copilot’s chair, forehead pressed against Grogu’s as you stared lovingly into his eyes with a grin. Grogu’s small hand had come up to pat your cheek.
It reminded him of the first time you had seen Grogu.
You had been sitting in his bunker for a few days as you waited for your sight to return, Grogu had been in his hammock as usual. It was morning and you had just woken up to find your eye sight had returned just enough for you to finally get around safely.
You had known that there was a baby on board, but what you hadn’t expected was to be greeted with the sight of the small creature with impossibly large and innocent eyes.
Din was barely able to pry Grogu from your hands that entire day.
So you had done this a lot with the child.
He had never asked why, the same way you had never asked him about his helmet or the things he would do due to his creed so it didn’t quite feel right for the Mandalorian to ask you about your own peculiar habits.
But something felt different in this moment.
And whatever that was, it had compelled him to finally put the words into question.
”Why do you do that?” Came the smooth modulated voice from his helmet.
You perked up, lifting your forehead from Grogu’s to meet the same blank stare of Mando’s helmet that you have grown so accustomed to.
”Do what?” Your smile was giddy— a smile that the child always seemed to pull out of you… He’d be lying if it didn’t make him the slightest bit jealous, even if he knew it was silly.
”Stare into his eyes like that.”
”Oh,” you hummed, gazing back down to stroke Grogu’s cheek just below his eye, before peering back up at Mando. “It’s a uh— custom, I guess you could say.  Something my people do back home.”
Din was quiet for a moment.
You both had been quite similar to one another. Neither one of you spoke much but instead allowed actions to take precedent over words.
It was one of the reasons you both worked well together. A deeper understanding that transcended the use of words.
But that also lead to crossroads such as this, where Din wanted to learn more about you but didn’t know how to ask you, while you needed the prompting since you never just gave it up.
So he stammered, “Does it— Does it mean something or…” he trailed off awkwardly.
You finally straighten up to start addressing him properly. You laughed softly at his flustered words, “Where’s this sudden curiosity stemming from,” you grinned.
”…You just do it a lot.” He spoke softly.
You hummed again, thinking about how you could explain this cornerstone of your culture to him.
Truthfully you were quite open about this particular thing but with Mando being a Mandalorian you had decided to keep it to yourself. You’ve always figured that at best he wouldn’t understand where you were coming from but at worst it could accidentally end up insulting his entire way of life… so you kept it shut away.
You had never offered it up and he had never pried.
Until now it seemed.
You quirked your head in thought before deciding to ultimately bite the bolt.
”My people believe that love comes from the eyes.”
Mando didn’t respond.
So you elaborated, “The concept of love, no matter what kind, is very important in my culture. You could say it’s what we are all about. Just as the Mandalorians are trained to fight and handle weapons as part of your religion, love is the main focus for us.”
”… The Mandalorians believe in love.” He responded softly, something was beginning to ache within himself at your words.
You nodded, “Yes, the loyalty that the Mandalorians have is very similar to us— it’s my favorite part of the Mandalorian Creed if I am being honest.”
Din was starting to realize that you may have known more about him and his people than he did about you and yours all along.
”However, we were never strong believers in learning how to fight… it was how the Empire was able to target us and invade the planet. Everything I learned, the stealing, the conning, how to fight back in combat and fire a blaster goes against everything I ever believed in,” you said sadly, eyes falling back to the baby in your arms who cooed at you.
The ache was rapidly growing within Mando’s chest. He had asked you to steal for him during certain jobs, you were smaller than him and quite efficient at the task. He had also had you aid him in fights and… he was the one that wanted to teach you how to fire a blaster. A memory he once found intimate had quickly soured at the thought of making you turn your back on your beliefs.
He felt sick. But you continued.
”Perhaps we were just too peaceful, but I loved every minute of it. My parents were madly in love, the way my father would look at my mother always made me want to find a man that would look at me the same way one day. What I do with Grogu is something parents do with their babies to convey how much they love them.”
”I didn’t know you were such a romantic.”
You smiled at Din— a heart stopping smile, “You’re not the only one that’s secretly a softy.”
”I’m not—“
You wordlessly held Grogu up, making him concede your point.
”So eyes, huh?” He asked, not sure if he wanted to hear anymore but at the same time he liked hearing you speak about something you clearly held so much passion for.
If he knew it was this easy to get you to talk this whole time, he would have asked sooner.
”Yes,” you nodded, “We believe our eyes say things our lips can’t even attempt to say with words. I suppose some of our habits are quite strange when you think about it.”
”Like what?”
”Well… it was quite easy to tell when someone wanted to pursue you, all you had to do was keep eye contact when talking to them and pretty soon they would take the hint. School kids have a funny thing they do when they have a crush on someone— during lectures it wasn’t unusual for kids to be staring at the one they liked throughout the class— it drove our teachers crazy,” you giggled, “There was one time I had three boys staring at me at once during a lecture— I was a bit of a heartthrob back then if you could believe,” you laughed again.
’I do’
Din forced a dry laugh.
”When lovers are alone, you would simply gaze into your partners eyes for as long as you wanted. No words would need to be said because everything was said with their eyes— we also value physical touch quite a bit so you could imagine where those situations likely ended up.” You blushed, looking out the windshield of the ship.
”Did you have a lover,” his voice shook.
”I did,” you nodded, “Again, I was quite the heartthrob. We were together until I ran from home after my parents were killed. That was when I fled to Coruscant just to end up a slave,” your voice soured, “I suppose I was just too trusting.”
”You were never taught that not everyone has good intentions,” he suddenly realized.
You nodded, “I guess you could say that. Not everyone on my planet was good, we’re all just human after all, but I never thought…” you trailed off. Din watched as you tried to blink back a set of tears before continuing, “But yes, I had a boyfriend— he had the most beautiful green eyes. I would stare into them for hours. He was one of the most desired boys in my town and all the girls were jealous of me but… the Empire would come to take everything away.”
Din shut his eyes, wanting the pain that took hold of his heart to ebb away as he asked his next question, “Are you trying to get back to him?”
You sighed, “No. We were only children then. He’s grown and I’m grown— I know that I am no longer the same person he once knew and I am sure he’s carried on with his life. But that’s alright,” You finally looked back at Mando.
It was quiet once more. Din was trying to swallow down his emotion while you continued to reflect on your home.
Din could almost hear is heart beating in the silence.
”We used to play a game as kids, two friends would gaze into each other’s eyes and…” you trailed off before your eyes suddenly lit up. “We should play.”
“But I can’t—“
“That’s okay, we can still play,” you said excitedly, placing Grogu back into his pram, who had been talking now at the sudden excitement.
You stood up, grasping Mando’s hand to stand him up and pull him behind the seats of the cockpit to the open space.
”Kneel,” you said, climbing onto your knees and pulling him down by the hand.
He quickly did as you said so that you were kneeling across from each other.
”Can you take your gloves off?”
Din wordlessly took them off.
”Okay so— if this is too much you can stop me, but this was the game,” you picked up his gloveless hands and placed them to cup your nape and the back of your head, your own hands then coming to cup his. “Is it alright if I touch your skin?”
”Yeah,” Din exhaled, already with his head in a spin.
With his consent you had slid your fingers and palms into the cowl of his flight suit and cupped the warm skin of his neck.
”Now,” you pulled him forward so his helmet touched your forehead, causing his breath to hitch.
He was beginning to see even more, how different the two of you were, where this was just a game for you but for him… this was a keldabe kiss.
“All we have to do is stare into each other eyes for a little while— now this’ll mostly be a game for you so just stare into my eyes.”
And so he did.
Din focused on the exchange of warmth between his hands and your neck, feeling how much smaller your neck was compared to his own hands. And focused on the feeling of your hands on his neck and— Maker, you were playing with hairs of his nape causing his eyes to roll bac— he snapped out of it and looked back into your eyes.
It was dark in hyperspace but there was just enough light from the stars to see them reflecting in your eyes. He could almost make out the patterns of your iris. He noted the way you had to peer up at him through your lashes due to your heights.
He both hated and loved his helmet in this very moment. He understood what you had meant, your eyes held so much in them and he would spend hours trying to figure out each emotion in them if he could. But he was secretly grateful that you couldn’t see him staring at you like a Massiff stares at a Tusken Raider when getting attention.
It hurt something deep within himself to realize he could never give you the one thing you believed to be the cornerstone of love.
Din could swear is loyalty to you, keep you protected and safe, he could do everything in his power to give you a happy life.
But he could never let you look in his eyes.
There would be no loving gazes exchanged between you both, he could never look at you the way your father looked at your mother, he could never gaze into your eyes for hours until someone bent first and had the night end in a passion of your shared love.
And it was something Din couldn’t knowingly ask you to abandon.
”Okay,” you finally spoke, jarring him from the trance your eyes held him in. “Remember the size of my pupil.”
”Alright.”
A moment later you had closed your eyes. “Now the lighting isn’t ideal but the point of the game is to see if I fell in love with you after that. So when I open my eyes if my pupil gets bigger than it did before, I’m in love.”
He said nothing.
You opened your eyes.
Din Djarin knew that this was just a silly kids game you played back home. He knew that this was terrible lighting. He knew that if you couldn’t connect with him through his eyes like you were taught and raised to believe then there was little hope that you could ever fall in love with him.
And yet… he could have sworn your pupils got just half a milimeter larger.

Suburbia.
Middle class, overwhelmingly white, everybody knows your name, suburbia.
You hated it, you were making a run for it once you graduated and you were going to make it big time.
That is, if you could just survive your annoying little brother until then—
“Give it back you little turd—“
”Mom said no more name calling!” Your eleven year old brother giggled as he ran opposite of you around the dining room table. He held your toaster waffle in his grimy little hands.
”I don’t give a shit— you’re gonna make me late!” You ran left and he ran right, swiftly evading you.
”What? Afraid your boyfriend is gonna ditch you and make you walk to school!” He practically cackled.
”Rodricks not my— ughh, just give me my breakfast you shit!” You leapt across the table, making your brother squeal like a little girl.
”(Y/N),” your mother suddenly hissed, entering the kitchen, “What did I say about name calling?”
”He stole my breakfast,” you threw back, laying across the table.
”David give your sister her waffle back. And both of you, go over to the Heffley’s already, Susan’s doing me a favor by driving you to school David, don’t keep her waiting.” Your mother said pointedly, her heels clipping against the linoleum floor as she moved about the kitchen to get her coffee brewed before heading off to work.
She continued talking but as your eyes landed back on your brother, her voice suspiciously morphed into the teachers voice from the peanuts.
Your brothers eyes landed on you as well, your waffle held in the air. Both your eyes darting back and forth to the breakfast food. That was until he daringly put the waffle in his mouth and took a bite.
That’s fucking it—
“You know what mom?” You suddenly jumped off the table, sounding chipper, “Rodrick said that he could give David a ride to school instead.”
”What?” your brother asked apprehensively, suddenly shaking in his shoes at your words.
”Huh? Really?” She asked surprised, turning to look at you, “Rodrick Heffley said he’d drive your brother to school?” She clearly wasn’t buying it. After years and years of seeing that boy hang around you, she knew he wasn’t handing out favors.
”Yeah, really.” You grinned, your gaze suddenly snapping to your brother and pinning him to the spot. A threat and a promise hanging in the air.
”Well… tell him I said thank you then. And honey, don’t you think you went a little heavy on the eyeliner today— what did you do to your jeans!” She then hissed in horror at the gaping holes in the knees of your pants.
”Leave me alone, it’s cool,” you scoffed and walked around the table, grabbing your brothers arm tight and dragging him out of the kitchen.
“You’re joking— Rodrick doesn’t even have backseats—“ your brother panicked behind you.
”I know. Maybe think twice about whose waffle you decide to eat.” The two of you grabbed your backpacks before you opened and slammed the front door behind you.
“This is a cruel and unusual punishment— you can go to jail for this—“
”Can it idiot,” you snapped, dragging your brother to the house right next door. The house that belonged to the Heffleys.
You knocked on their front door before letting yourself in. It was practically your second home at this point and Susan told you not to even bother waiting for someone to answer the door.
You pushed him forward before letting yourself in.
“Hi Susan, Hi Frank,” you called out, not bothering to greet them properly before bounding up the stairs and letting your brother wander around on his own in search of Greg. You heard muffled responses from the kitchen.
Once on the second floor you headed straight for the attic staircase, taking two at a time before finding the lump under the bedsheets you were looking for.
Now it was time for your favorite game.
You made your way over to Rodricks bed, grabbing two drumsticks on the way. You weren’t even trying to be quiet, floorboards creaking loudly under your feet.
Soon you stood above him, a devious grin painted on your face at how peaceful he looked in his sleep.
Time to ruin that.
You took both drumsticks and carefully stuck each of them up his nose, giggling quietly as you managed to get them to stay stuck in his nose. You then quickly took out your phone and started taking as many pictures of him as you could before he woke up.
Rodrick sniffled, trying to breathe past the objects obstructing his airway. You giggled harder watching as his nostrils twitched and flared and soon his whole face was screwed up in discomfort.
You burst out loudly in a fit of laughter, doubling over as he shot out of bed in a panic, the drumsticks falling out of his nose with gravity.
His groggy mind took a second to grasp the situation, but once it did he was quickly reaching out for you.
”You little—“
You yelped as his arms wrapped around your waist and he pulled you down against the bed with him. You struggled in his grasp, still laughing as he pinned you against his chest.
“Let. Go.” You wheezed through your laughter.
”Delete those photos!”
You continued to struggle in his grasp before he suddenly let go, causing you to fall off the bed with a grunt.
You blinked, staring up at the ceiling until Rodricks head popped over the side of his bed. His eyes narrowing.
”Stealing my look?”
You scoffed, “You don’t own eyeliner Heffley— by the way, you have to drive my brother to school today.”
”What? Why?” He complained, eyes following you as you stood up and plopped yourself right on his bed.
”I need to teach the little shit a lesson.”
”And you had to drag me into it,” he flopped backwards onto his bed.
“Coming from the guy that drags me into nearly every stupid idea he has.”
”You come willingly,” he said, pointing at you with a drumstick.
”Sure I do. Now get dressed so we can go,” you jumped to your feet, sprinting back down the stairs, whatever he said next falling on deaf ears.
You made your way back down stairs and into the kitchen where the rest of the Heffley’s, plus your brother, were gathered.
You sat yourself down and kicked your feet up on the breakfast table, reaching over for a pop tart that sat out on the table.
”Mornin’” you greeted through a mouthful of food.
”Morning…” Frank trailed off, staring at your feet propped up right next to him. The newspaper in his hand forgotten.
”Honey, you know what I’ve said about feet on the table.”
You sighed, pulling your feet off and sitting cross legged on the chair instead. “Sorry.”
”That’s alright and uh… you look nice?”
”Thanks,” you grinned.
”Yeah, the makeup is a bold choice,” Greg muttered sarcastically, making your brother laugh.
You narrowed your eyes and shut the both of them up. Greg had always gotten on your nerves the same way your little brother did.
”Rodrick said he’d drive Greg and David to school so you don’t have to.”
”He is?” Susan questioned. However, her shock quickly turned into excitement, “And he suggested this himself?”
”Sure did,” you grinned, taking another bite of your pop tart.
”Why would he do that?” Greg asked.
”Maybe your brother’s turning a new coin, don’t stop him from growing as a person.”
Suddenly, all six of you heard a shriek, your heads whipping towards the staircase as Rodrick stomped down the stairs.
”Mom! What did you do to my pants!?” He exclaimed, running into the kitchen, lifting a leg and pointing to the matter at hand.
Your gaze followed where he directed and you had to stifle a laugh.
For some reason, the rips in his jeans were patched with baby pink fabric.
”Oh, I fixed them for you,” Susan grinned, satisfied with herself. “They were torn to shreds so I patched them up.”
Rodrick stared at his mother with wide eyes, completely at a loss for how to respond, “I ripped them on purpose. And why did you use pink!” You bit down on your lip to keep from laughing, as his voice was becoming squeaky with frustration.
Susan rolled her eyes with a shake of her head, “Honestly Rodrick, I do you a favor and you only complain about it. Why would you rip your jeans in the first place? So you can look sloppy at school?”
”He wants to trick people into thinking he’s a famous rockstar,” you threw in. “I told him it was a stupid idea and that he was wasting the hard earned money you spend on his clothes by tearing them up but he just wouldn’t listen to reason,” you shrugged.
”Wha— It was your idea!”
“I have no idea what you’re talking abou— ahh,” you yelped as Rodrick charged forward and grabbed your leg, lifting it above the table and practically knocking you off the chair. Manny suddenly clapping with all the commotion.
”See! You did it too,” he pointed to the giant rips at the knees in your jeans, “She’s lying mom, she helped me rip them—“
”Okay, enough,” Susan said sharply, “She’s not my child so I can’t scold her. And it’s already— 7:45,” She suddenly gasped, seeing how late it was, “Will you all get ready so you’re not late to school.”
”Fine. Where are my other jeans?” Rodrick asked, dropping your leg and making you grunt.
”In the wash. I checked all your other pairs for tears and they all smelled so I’m washing them now. You’re lucky I set aside a pair for you this morning.”
”You’re saying, I have to go to school in these?” Rodrick asked, pointing at the monstrosity in question.
”Yes. Maybe next time you’ll think twice before ruining your clothes. Now all of you go.”
You sighed, getting up from your seat and slinging your backpack over your shoulder, your pop tart still in hand.
You glanced down at Rodrick’s jeans again and scoffed out another laugh, before passing him.
”Gimme that,” Rodrick scoffed right back, snatching your pop tart and shoving it in his mouth.
”Hey— that was mine!”
”I don’t care, traitor,” Rodrick’s words muffled by the pop tart, “C’mon turd nuggets,” he yelled over his shoulder to the middle schoolers, who nervously followed you two.
”Calm down already. I’ll help you rip the patches off,” you rolled your eyes, pulling the front door open with him suddenly pushing you forward.
The younger kids shut the door behind all of you.
”I can’t with those two,” Susan sighed. “All these years and I still can’t figure out if they’re good or bad influences on each other.”
”Well, anyone that can keep Rodrick from sleeping straight through an entire day is good in my books,” Frank said, placing his newspaper down, and taking a sip of his coffee.
“… You’re sure you don’t think they’re in a relationship?” Susan asked, making Frank sigh.
“We’ve been over this honey. Rodrick’s too… he’s not…” Frank tried to select the words carefully as to not say out loud that he thought his son was dumb as a box of rocks. “I just don’t think he’d be able to keep a secret like that.”
”Yeah… you’re right I guess. They just— they seem to be,” Susan glanced at her youngest son, choosin her own words carefully now, “Very comfortable with each other.”
Frank looked up in thought, thinking about how close the two of you seemed… how much closer the two of you seemed after this summer specifically…. Even more specifically after a certain vacation you guys went on with your friends back in July. “You don’t think they’ve…”
Susan raised her eyebrows and shrugged.
”No— no, they couldn’t have.”
”I don’t know Frank. I’m just saying it’s something we should look out for. You know how teenagers are.”
Frank swallowed nervously at the thought of mini Rodricks running around the house.
If you had to choose, this was probably your favorite pastime. Riding around in the Löded Diper van, screaming Guns N Roses at the top of yours and Rodricks terrible voices, all the while tormenting your little brothers in the back.
Nothing beats this.
“Welcome to the jungle!— stop moving! I’m gonna stab you!” You yelled over the music as your head was practically in Rodricks lap as you tried to rip up the patches from his jeans… which wasn’t exactly a good look for either of you if anyone decided to look in.
”I’m trying!” He yelled back, “I can’t when I’m driving— stop pushing on my leg, you’re gonna make me hit the car in front of us.”
”You want these patches off or what?”
Rodrick just grunted in response, slamming on the breaks at a red light.
Your brothers’ screams in the back were like music to both of your ears.
“We’re gonna die,” David panted as both him and Greg finally stopped flying around the back of the van.
”I know,” Greg responded. “Why do we get stuck with these two as our siblings— I know someone whose brother takes him out for ice cream after school every Friday.”
”With our luck Rodrick and (Y/N) will get married one day and then we’ll never be able to get rid of them.”
”Ew— ahh!” Greg’s nose screwed up in disgust at the idea of you two marrying each other, right before being jolted backwards as Rodrick slammed on the gas.
A few more minutes of driving and you all came to another rough stop, the music clicking off. “Get out losers,” Rodrick yelled behind him, lifting his leg so you could get a better angle at ripping the threads.
”But we’re not at school,” Greg said, peering out the back window.
”You both have two legs. Walk,” You answered back, throwing a pink patch behind your seats.
”You two just wanna make out, don’t you,” Your brother spat.
You and Rodrick instinctively looked at each other, faces screwed up in disgust.
”Ew,” he hissed.
”As if,” you scoffed, “Now go before I kick your ass.”
You managed to rip off the rest of the patches before school started, his jeans once again looking like the distressed mess you both created in the first place. And you only got away with one stab to his leg, and a little bit of blood but he didn’t need to know about that part.
Parking the van, you both stumbled out, making your way to the building for another day full of napping through lessons.
And hey, you were only twenty minutes late today.
You truly didn’t understand why you and the rest of your friends even bothered with school at this point. You weren’t sure a single one of you got through an entire day without skipping or falling asleep in at least one class and you all just copied off of others homework.
Those friends, being the rest of the members of Löded Diper… you didn’t have many girlfriends, for some reason they thought it was weird you hung out around these guys so much. But you didn’t care, you were all going to be famous after high school. You were only a roadie and supporter of the band but that wasn’t going to stop you from becoming famous.
Before you knew it, this fine Friday was over and you and the band would be free for the entire weekend to screw around like usual.
By 3:10 you were climbing into the passenger side of Rodrick’s van once again. Rodrick in the drivers seat and the rest of the guys in the back.
As if on cue, an arm was thrown around the back of your seat and a head popped between you and Rodrick.
“Hello beautiful,” Ben greeted, leaning forward to place a kiss on your cheek only to be stopped by your hand against his face.
”Hi Ben,” you grinned, “And how was your day?”
”Good,” he mumbled against your hand, picking his lips against your palm in a weak kiss.
”Enough,” Rodrick said, pushing his friend into the back by the shoulder.
”I’m impressed,” you said, seeing all three of them there, “Not a single one of us got detention today.”
”No, I did,” Chris said, “I’m just skipping.”
”Nice,” the rest of you nodded.
With that Rodrick put the van into drive and sped out of the school’s parking lot.
Unlike your little brothers, Ben, Chris, and eventually Bill once you picked him up, actually knew how to have fun. They all laughed and cheered as they were being thrown around the van instead of whining like a bunch of babies.
Finally making it into the garage of the Heffley’s house you found yourself making yourself comfortable on the couch in the garage as Löded Diper began their rehearsal, cheering for them as they all played.
The other thing about the suburbs was when you were stuck in high school and you lived in the suburbs, the monotony of it all took quite the toll on you. There was nothing to keep you occupied, no way to have fun, which was why you and Rodrick were usually left to your own devices and had to find the fun somewhere else.
You would include the other guys as you were all together for the most part, but living right next door to the Heffleys and not only that, being able to see into each other’s rooms, you and Rodrick did tend to spend most of your time together. Because even when you weren’t allowed to see each other due to being grounded or whatnot, you still both snuck each other into the other’s room just to hang out.
Huh… you were starting to see why your brother was convinced you two were dating.
And maybe you would if you were Heather or Rodrick was… literally anybody else.
It was an hour into rehearsal already, you bopped your head along with the atrocious music, singing their awful lyrics to yourself.
That was until Susan came in.
”Rodrick,” she tried, but they kept playing, “Rodrick,” she tried again, this time effectively getting all of you to shut up. “I need to talk to you inside. Now.”
”Oooh,” you instigated, quickly shutting up when Susan shot you a look.
Rodrick stood up, walking around the drumset, “Go ahead and talk. We’re a band,” he came to a stop in front of his mom, “We have no secrets.”
”Okay, fine.” She then pulled out a magazine from behind her back and held it in front of her. Your eyes nearly popped out of your head at the dirty magazine she found.
Rodrick was stunned, “Tha—“ he pointed at the magazine, “That’s not mine,” he was wavering, you could tell.
”Well, it was in your backpack—“
”No, it was in my room.”
Idiot.
“Does owning this magazine make you a better person?”
It looked like it was time for a lecture.
“No.”
”Did it make you more popular at school?”
“Yes,” Rodrick nodded, looking around at all of you before his eyes landed back on his mom and he realized that that was in fact the wrong answer, “No.” he quickly took back.
“How do you feel about,” she took a step forward, “Having owned this, type of magazine?”
Rodrick thought for a second, “… Ashamed,” he grinned.
”Nice,” Chris cheered.
Susan nodded, her grip so tight on the magazine that you were sure she’d rip it any second. She took another step forward, face to face with her son, “Do you have anything you want to say,” she placed a hand over her heart, “To women. For having owned this offensive magazine?”
Rodrick stared down at his mom, struggling for words.
“I’m sorry, women.”
The rest of the guys started clapping for Rodrick until Susan pinned them with a sharp look, making them stop.
”And I want you to apologize to (Y/N).”
Rodrick scoffed, glancing at you on the couch before looking back at his mom, “Why?”
”Why?” Susan asked, affronted, “Because she is a beautiful young woman that you consider a friend. Owning this magazine is offensive to girls like her.”
”Um… I don’t really care Susan—“ you quickly shut your mouth as she shot you another look.
”Yeah but (Y/N) isn’t like a woman woman,” Rodrick said.
“Excuse me?” Susan hissed.
”Y’know what I mean,” he was starting to flounder again, “She-she’s not like the women in the magazine…” he trailed off.
”What? Just because she isn’t taking naked photos on motorcycles, you don’t consider her a woman?”
”I wouldn’t be opposed to that,” Ben suddenly tried to joke, making you roll your eyes.
Susan ignored him, watching as Rodrick really didn’t know the answer to these questions anymore. “Uh— yes— no. I don’t know, she’s just (Y/N)—“
”Apologize,” she cut him off sharply.
Rodrick then shuffled his way to you, standing in front of your seated form, “I’m sorry for owning that magazine (Y/N).”
“And,” Susan snapped.
”And for not seeing you as a woman…?” He glanced back at his mom to make sure he said the right thing but was only met with an eye roll.
”I forgive you,” you played along, “And don’t worry. I don’t see you as a man,” you grinned sharply as the others all cheered at your diss.
“You’re grounded for two weeks,” Susan said, she was so angry her voice was shaking. She then swiftly turned around and began to stalk out of the garage.
”Ok settle down Susan. I think one week is plenty!”
She quickly turned back around on her heel, “Make it four weeks and I’m gonna need the keys to your van!”
”My van?”
”Yes. Your van. And I want all of you out of here in an hour.” With that she turned around and left the garage.
”I’m gonna become a stripper just to spite you Heffley,” you grunted in annoyance at his whole woman comment about you.
”Yes! I support you (Y/N)!” Ben cheered.
“Yeah that’ll show me,” Rodrick grumbled, “Let’s just get one more song in.” With that he seated himself behind his drum set and the boys practiced for some more.
“I bet you feel pretty stupid now for owning that magazine,” you called out, sitting on the roof just outside your window, staring up at Rodrick as he leaned out his window.
”I don’t even know how she found it,” he practically whined. “I hid it under my bed, and she never checks there anymore after The Thing she found under there.”
”Oh right, that.” You shivered at the memory of what you and Rodrick now called ‘The Thing’ that may have been alive at one point under his bed. “Did she take your keys yet.”
”Yeah.”
”Are you banned from driving to school too?”
”I’m banned from driving anywhere. That includes your car.”
”Shit.” You hissed. That meant you’d have to drive the two of you to school instead and you weren’t exactly comfortable behind the wheel yet.
A comfortable silence filled the air between you two, and you sighed, basking in the cooling air as the sun was setting.
”Y’know Heather Hills asked about you today.”
”Really?”
”No,” you laughed. He always fell for that.
He frowned, ”Yeah well, Nick asked about you today.”
”Really?”
”No,” he laughed loudly.
Oh right. You always fell for that too.
”Asshole.”
”Bitch.”
“I’m gonna tell your mother you’re not being very respectful towards women again.”
”Then have fun driving me to school for two months instead of one.”
”Whatever,” you grumbled under your breath. “Are we still hanging out tomorrow or are you taking the grounding thing seriously this time.”
”We can hang,” he grumbled gnawing at a hangnail now. “Y’know it was probably my stupid brother that told her.”
”Maybe it was. He likes sneaking into your room doesn’t he.”
”Yeah…. Yeah,” Rodrick’s eyes lit up as he seemed to realize something, “That little—“ Rodrick quickly took off after that, leaving you to laugh at the entire situation by yourself.
People often wonder why me and Rodrick aren’t a couple. And I always tell them that I grew up with him. I see him nearly 24/7. He’s usually the first person I talk to in the morning. We have breakfast together, go to school together, we even share a bunch of the same classes. We usually even get detention together. We also torture our brothers together.
And what am I supposed to do after school when I’m bored and alone at home? Well I’d just have to go over to my best friends house that I’ve already seen all day anyway, because what else am I supposed to do? And what? Am I just not supposed to hang out with him and the other guys when they come over to rehearse. We even used to have sleepovers a lot when we were younger, but ever since high school our parents banned us from those. I think they’re scared we’re gonna fuck or something.
As if.
Rodrick’s more like a brother to me I think. I mean, I see him just as much if not more than my own brother anyway.
So of course I wouldn’t fuck him. You don’t fuck your brother bcuz ew.
Anyway… today Rodrick got grounded today because his mom found one of his dirty magazines. I was pretty sure Greg was to blame and turns out I was right, Rodrick texted me like ten minutes ago that Greg stole his stash and was holding them as black mail. But Rodrick managed to get him to give them back. So much for Greg’s plan I guess.
And now I’m just writing in here, sitting on the bathroom floor, naked in a towel. I just took a shower and I’m being too lazy to get dressed right now… I’m blasting some Metallica right now and damn they’re good. Too bad Löded Diper doesn’t sound like them. At least they got passion I guess.
Anyway… I guess I should stop being lazy and actually get dressed.
You slammed your diary shut, shaking out your cramped writing hand.
You stood up, not bothering to take the towel with you and just abandoning it on your bathroom floor along with your diary. You sang softly along to Master of Puppets playing in your bedroom, nodding your head along to the beat.
You shoved your bathroom door open, the music in your bedroom louder now as you swayed along to it.
You bounded over to your dresser, leaving damp foot prints in your carpet. You jumped over the blood stain on your rug. You had Rodrick to thank for that one after he cracked a bat over your head, thinking you were Greg instead… the entire week after that was a blur.
You pulled open your underwear drawer with the one good knob, the knob missing on the other side of the drawer was thanks to your brother crashing into your dresser one day.
You pulled out a pair and shimmied them up your legs as you continued to dance along with the music.
Now however, there was a full concert on blast in your head. It took you a while to find the discarded T-shirt you usually slept in, especially with the distraction of the music playing but eventually you found it rolled up in your comforter as usual. And finally as the song ended you pulled on the Löded Diper t-shirt Rodrick made for you.
However, what you saw quickly got rid of the good mood you were in. Because once your head popped through the hole, you made direct eye contact with Rodrick Heffley through your windows.
You forgot to close your fucking blinds.
He was in shock… you were in shock. His jaw hung open, eyes popping out of his head.
The next thing that happened you were sure the entire neighborhood heard as you and Rodrick both screamed at the top of your lungs. He ran straight out of his room and you ran straight for the blinds that you quickly shut.
Your best friend just saw you butt ass naked.
Extra:
Frank walked into his bedroom, ready to settle down for the night after a long night of painting his Civil War figurines.
As he began unbuttoning his button down, he had found his wife already in bed with a magazine in hand.
Everything seemed as usual… that was until he did a double take of the magazine in her hands.
”Uh… Honey?” He asked carefully, approaching her side of the bed. “Whatcha reading?”
“I found this in Rodrick’s backpack today,” she huffed, clearly still angry with her son.
”Okay… is there a reason you’re ‘reading’ it then?”
She looked up at her husband. “I was about to toss it out when I realized some of the pages were dog eared, so like any concerned mother I decided to take a look at what exactly my son is looking at so often that he has to dog ear it.”
”Right, yeah. Cause that’s… rational,” Frank spoke hesitantly.
”And look!” She opened one of the pages that were dog eared and showed Frank a two page spread of some naked woman. Frank quickly panicked and looked up at the ceiling.
“Uh huh?” He nodded.
”Frank, tell me who this girl looks like.”
Frank glanced back down carefully at the pages, before his eyes widened in realization. He yanked the magazine from her hands.
”She— That’s (Y/N)!” He realized in horror that his son was actively searching for naked women that looked like his best friend, whether or not he was aware of that, Frank didn’t know.
Suddenly saying it out loud sent a shiver down both their spines and Frank quickly shut the magazine. They both agreed that was enough for tonight.
But the vision of the mini Rodricks was becoming more and more vivid by the second.

There weren't enough words in the Asgardian language to describe the amount of rage that burned in your veins, hell there weren't enough words in any Midgardian language for that matter.
After everything he has done so far, after every failure, he still has the audacity to keep trying.
Your father was an ambitious man, you'd give him that. But even his ambition wasn't enough to save him from his own offspring.
The click of your heels against the linoleum floors were sharp and clipped as you moved with a purpose. Wisps of hair tickling your face that you couldn't even be half bothered to put back in place, which in of itself was out of character for you as your appearance was always perfected down to the very last strand of hair. But after the hellish trip through the rainbow bridge as well as your current situation, all you could be bothered to care about was making sure your father knew how much of a fool he was.
Only an idiot tries to take over the same place twice.
The air of the Avengers compound was stale down in the cells. Everything you had seen so far was monotonous and boring. You knew not to expect much coming to Midgard but it was an even bigger let down than you were originally led to believe.
You had't met the Avengers yet, too pissed at your father to waste another second not reprimanding him, so you had Thor lead you to him straight away. You passed empty cell after empty cell with Thor in the lead, until he came to a stop in front of the cell which contained Loki.
You stood in front of the glass cell, arms crossed. Your father raised an eyebrow and pursed his lips.
"I see you agreed to the arrangement then."
"I did," you jutted your chin out, "No thanks to you."
"You should have stayed home-"
"No. You don't get to tell me what I should and shouldn't do. You lost that privilege after your first attempt at conquering Midgard."
Loki narrowed his eyes, "I am your father--"
"And yet here I am, fixing another one of your messes," you said with a mirthless laugh, gesturing around you.
He shut his mouth, and finally addressed his brother, "What's the next step now, seeing as you kidnapped your own niece."
"I didn't kidnap her. She agreed to this to help you," Thor said seriously, clearly offended that Loki would accuse him of kidnapping you. "They'll release you within a month. (Y/N) will remain the ward of Midgard for a year, as long as you can prove that you will no longer be a threat to this realm."
Loki snickered, shaking his head. "My own daughter in the hands of a bunch of Midgardians...” he trailed off. “I appreciate the gown you chose for today."
You tsked, "I figured someone should properly represent your name if you were going to keep pulling these stunts," you replied, gesturing to the expensive Asgardian gown you wore in his colors. Green with golden detailing.
"Perhaps you should try having more faith in me-"
"I do have faith in you," you snapped, "But It is your missteps that continuously lead to your downfall."
It was quiet for a few beats until Thor broke the silence, "She should meet the others now."
"Very well," Loki nodded, "Be prepared for them all to be very unpleasant, especially Stark. He thinks he's funny."
"I'll visit you later father," you said, turning to walk back down the hall, "Oh," you stopped, throwing over your shoulder, "If you ever put me through the pain of believing you were dead again, I'll kill you myself." You stalked back down the hall, not checking to see if Thor was following.
Loki looked at his brother, "That bad?"
"She was inconsolable. You broke her heart, brother," he said with a shake of his head, "You broke all of our hearts."
Loki looked back to your retreating figure as Thor now followed, staring regretfully after you.
***
You were stuck in your head now, deep in thought after seeing your father for the first time in a long time.
Thor had told you that the Avengers had gathered to greet you and discuss the next steps from here. It truthfully sounded like a very boring affair, more so when you thought about the more productive things you could be doing back home.
In fact, that was the thing that irked you the most about these Midgardians requesting this of you. They must have been under the impression that your time wasn't important, as if the title "Princess" and "Goddess" were simply just for show.
Eventually a man came into view, waiting outside two large doors. He grinned upon seeing both you and Thor.
"Nice to see you two finally bothered to show up," he laughed.
"I apologize for keeping all of you waiting, Stark. She wanted to speak to her father first."
Tony lowered his glasses, giving you a once over, "Why? Planning on getting the band back together?"
"Excuse you?" You deadpanned only making him laugh.
He turned to Thor, "I can see where she gets her humor from," he said sarcastically, before finally introducing himself, "I'm Tony Stark. You might know me as Iron Man, I don't really know what names get around on Asgard or wherever."
"I'm not familiar with either."
"Ouch. I'll pretend not to be offended. Ready to meet the others?"
"I suppose."
"Then let's go Game of Thrones," he said, turning around and heading towards the closed doors.
"My father warned me about your humorous wit," you said sarcastically.
"Good. I wasn't sure he noticed."
Stark pushed open one of the meeting room doors, holding it for you and Thor. You were immediately greeted with the sight of numerous costume clad superheroes, the sight made you roll your eyes and once again think about what you could be doing back home instead.
You stalked to the front of the room wordlessly, with not a single misstep, presenting yourself elegantly.
Thor took his spot beside you as Tony stood opposite of you. The others in the room were quiet, you knew they were assessing you. Your father had tried taking over their realm twice so you understood that judgement would be all that you received during your stay.
So you wouldn't give them anything to judge.
Thor grinned beside you for the first time since the meeting with his brother.
"This is my niece (Y/N) Lokidottir. Princess of Asgard, Goddess of Mischief." Thor spoke the words with pride. He always had, he was convinced that raising you was his brother's best accomplishment.
You took the few moments of silence following your introduction to study their eyes and even you had to hand it to some of them, a few had eyes cold as stone. The red head and the one with the metal arm specifically. But there are always a few that communicated everything with a simple gaze.
Your eyes landed on the smallest male in the room. The look in them was not a foreign one. You had many suitors back on Asgard that would sing praises about your beauty daily, and the look in this boy's eyes was the same... maybe a bit more... pathetic. It made a smug grin fit itself on your face.
Stark finally spoke.
"You can add Ward of Midgard," he laughed.
Your smile fell.
"Anyway. As I explained earlier, our arrangement with S.H.I.E.L.D. is to detain Loki for the next month or so before sending him back to Asgard. If he can play nice for the next year he can get his daughter back." You noticed the one with the shield shaking his head. It was nice to know that not all of them agreed with these terms. "If he can't, we keep her until he can. Until then, I came up with a few precautionary measures for our new house guest."
You stiffened, "I was not told about this."
"That's because I just came up with them this morning." Tony said, opening a folder. He began passing out its contents, "I've come up with different shifts for everyone to keep an eye on her. That way she'll be under constant surveillance by at least one person."
"Why weren't we told about this earlier?" Natasha asked., clearly annoyed.
"Is no one listening? I just came up with it."
"I'm not doing this," Bucky said, "I have better things to do than babysit an alien chick-" You raised your hand, making Bucky's metal hand clasp over his mouth and everyone turn to you in shock.
"'Goddess of Mischief'" you said, "It will serve you well to remember it." You dropped your hand, releasing him.
It was silent... until it wasn't, "And that is why we're doing this babysitting protocol. She's Loki's daughter, she needs to earn our trust."
"I can assure you, (Y/N) is very trustworthy," Thor said, coming to your defense.
"You also said you trusted your brother," Steve spoke up.
"Yes but (Y/N) is different. She'd never hurt anyone."
"My mouth hurts," Bucky muttered to himself.
"Again, she earns our trust first," Tony said. "Anyone with 'Mischief' in their name needs a trial run. Now onto this schedule..."
You rolled your eyes... Perhaps being on your best behavior was going to be more difficult than you had previously thought.
***
Quite honestly... Peter could have fainted when he saw you. He didn't even notice ha had stopped breathing until he coughed from the lack of air.
He felt like someone should have warned him better, because when Tony said, "Come meet Loki's kid later," did not count as a heads up.
This whole situation just felt so fucking unfair all of a sudden.
And being the devastatingly hopeless romantic that he was, he could only form one coherent thought:
You were fucking ethereal
You were so beautiful Peter felt like he could cry and scream about it, and he wouldn't be surprised if someone actually has before.
And the chill that he got when Thor introduced you, was enough to make him worship you -- a goddess.
Peter was quite convinced that he would be making a shrine to you as soon as he got home that night.
Peter swallowed nervously, his grip tightening on the fabric of his jeans.
Sam raised an eyebrow, "You cool Peter?"
He blinked in quick succession, only partially being broken from his trance, "Huh- yeah..." He suddenly trailed off when you looked directly at him.
Your gaze was intense and he could have sworn he watched a flash of green flare in them, making him gulp.
Sam whistled lowly, noticing the small interaction, "Someone's gonna be dangerous for you... Can't say I blame ya though." He hummed, eyeing you.
Tony's voice suddenly cut into Peter's mind, "I've come up with different shifts for everyone to keep an eye on her. That way she'll be under constant surveillance by at least one person."
Right there.
That was the moment Peter retained nothing else, only trying to comprehend that he was going to have to be with you alone multiple times that week.
Peter would remain in a daze for the rest of the week, only staring at his name on the schedule that Tony handed out at the meeting:
PETER PARKER: FRIDAY 3pm-10pm,  SATURDAY 3pm-10pm, SUNDAY 3pm-10pm
He couldn't even be mad how late his shift was on Sunday when he had an 8:30 class the next day, because let's be real, Peter had the chance to be alone with the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life.
The day came a lot faster than he had anticipated, but he guess that's what happens when you float through the entire week on cloud nine.
But now Peter felt like he was laying at the bottom of a pit.
His heart beat quickly with anxiety the entire day, his palms were sweaty, and he was completely tongue tied making it embarrassing enough to talk to classmates that day that he didn't even want to think about how he was going to embarrass himself in front of you later that afternoon.
But soon enough, it was 2:50, and Peter found himself back at the Avengers compound to "babysit" you.
He licked his lips nervously as Happy led him into the building.
"What's got you all worked up? Well- more than usual?" Happy threw over his shoulder, noticing how fidgety Peter was acting, "Is it your tingle? The spider-tingle?"
Peter shook his head, not finding it in him to come up with a clever quip, "No."
"Is it because you need to watch Loki's kid, because she's really not that bad to handle, but I can get someone to cover your shift if--"
"NO!" Peter shouted, suddenly widening his eyes and clearing his throat at his little outburst.
Happy turned around in surprise before clocking in on what was going on based on Peter's composure, "Oh, I get it. Word of advice, because I know you're gonna do it. Don't talk too much, she doesn't like talking. Just let her read her books and you'll be on her good side."
Peter's eyes shined at the advice, "No talking, got it."
Happy turned back around, proceeding towards the library where Peter assumed you were currently in. "And another piece of advice," he said, reaching for the door handle, looking down at Peter before opening it, "Don't even think about going for it. She's Loki's daughter, kid. And just as terrifying."
Peter pursed his lips, "...She's also related to Thor, so..."
Happy scoffed, "And inherited none of his traits." He opened the door, letting Peter go in first.
Peter noticed the back of Bucky's head as he walked into the library, but only for a second as his eyes landed on you.
And again, the sight of you took his breath away. He was almost hoping that he hadn't remembered you correctly and you weren't even a quarter of how beautiful as he thought, but he was proven oh so very wrong.
You laid across one of the couches in the reading area, leaning against the arm, in one of your beautiful Asgardian gowns. The light from the windows filtered into the room, forming a halo around your body.
You looked like a goddamned renaissance painting.
It was then that Peter took in what was happening, and... well he wasn't sure if he really understood what was happening.
"You two are still at it?" Happy asked, shaking his head before turning to Peter, "I swear, every time Bucky has to watch her the two have a staring contest the entire time. I think they're trying to figure out who has the more intense stare." Happy then walked over to you both, waving a hand in front of Bucky's eyes, "You're off duty Buck, you can both blink again. Also Steve invited you to go train with him once you were done here."
Bucky grunted before standing up. He noticed Peter on his way out and raised a brow, muttering a "Good luck" which sounded like he had absolutely no faith in Peter to survive the next seven hours alone with you.
"Right." Happy nodded, "(Y/N)'s free to go to all the common areas, her room, and the bathroom. Stay out of the labs, away from the cells. Thor is her designated escort to go see her father so you have no business being down there. Anything else, just ask F.R.I.D.A.Y. Sound good?"
Peter just nodded, not being able to take his eyes away from you as you stared back at him.
Happy looked back and forth between the two of you, "Good lord," he sighed, "Don't forget that you're on camera (Y/N)," he called over to you before taking his leave.
Now it was just you and Peter. You watched as he tentatively took a seat where Bucky had been previously sitting.
He gulped again, eyes flickering all over the place, feeling uncomfortable under your gaze. It was a weird feeling for him to be speechless, but he couldn't form a coherent thought around you.
You finally looked away, reaching for a book that you had placed on the table beside the couch you were on. Your fingers carded through the pages until landing on the page Peter assumed you must've left off on.
It would be silent for the next half hour before Peter finally found it in him to speak up.
"What are you reading...?" He asked cautiously. He knew Happy said you didn't like talking, but it felt weird to sit in complete silence the entire time.
"Game of Thrones," you hummed, and dear God... he forgot how euphonious your voice was considering he only heard you speak a few sentences earlier that week. "Stark keeps calling me 'Game of Thrones', and I don't like when people below me speak things that go over my head."
Peter laughed awkwardly, until he realized you weren't joining him, making his awkward chuckle turn into a cough. "Yeah... that sounds like Mr. Stark."
It was silent again... and Peter was starting to regain his uncontrollable urge to speak again.
"So uh... what were you and Bucky doing?"
You hummed, "I like Bucky," you said, not answering his question, but hey, if you were willing to talk, Peter wasn't going to stop you. "There's a lot of pain in his eyes."
"And you like that?" Peter asked suspiciously.
"I'm partial to broken things," your eyes looked up from your book, once again locking with his, "Tell me Peter... are you a broken thing?"
Peter spluttered as he felt an uncontrollable heat crawl up the back of his neck, and once again, he found himself unable to form any words.
You cut off his broken stutters, "I see pain in your eyes too, different... but it’s there."
"I mean-- yeah I guess. Who doesn't have a story, right?" He chuckled uncomfortably, "I don't think anything I've been through compares to Bucky's past though, y'know? Maybe that’s why it looks different? Or something, like you said—“
"You talk when your nervous," you noted.
"Wha- yeah, I guess I do--"
"Do I make you nervous?"
Peter's eyes widened and he truly felt helpless under your gaze as you waited for his response, "Um... "
"Why do I make you nervous?"
Peter bit his lip, looking away from you, "Well... you're a Princess... and a Goddess from another planet. I'm not really sure how to talk to you."
"From what I heard from the others, that's never seemed to stop you before."
Peter looked at you with wide eyes, "Have-- Have you been talking about me with the others?"
"Yes," you easily admitted, "You intrigue me Peter Parker. From the moment I saw you in the meeting room."
Peter felt like a fish out of water, mouth falling and closing shut as he searched for the words to respond to that. He almost didn't want to believe you, it felt too surreal. "Why would I..."
You shrugged, "You're different than the others. I can tell you have a kindness your friends do not possess."
He thought back to all the times he showed villains mercy where he knew the other Avengers wouldn’t, and he was to compelled to agree with you, just a little bit, "Maybe a little... but the others are heroes too."
"Come here."
"What?"
And for the first time, Peter saw you smile and if you were pretty before, he was sure he was going to have to take a few days off in order to cope with how pretty you were now.
"I said, 'come here'," you laughed gently.
Peter took a shaky breath and nodded, walking over to you as you swung your legs over the couch to make a space for him while placing your book back down. He sat on the opposite end of the couch so that there was an empty cushion between you and you laughed once again at his tentativeness. You moved over, the side of your body pressing against his as he gulped, staring straight ahead of him.
You gazed at his side profile for a moment, and you did have to admit-- this Midgardian was quite cute.
Most of the men back on Asgard were too proud for their own good, and you found that too much pride made a man insufferable... but Peter? Was a breath of fresh air.
You promised not to get too ahead of yourself though as he still was a Midgardian. At least now you couldn't fault your Uncle for finding some sort if interest in that Jane woman he had told you so much about.
"I like you Peter."
Peter turned to look at you, eyebrows drawn together in utter confusion, "But you barely know me," he said, voice high pitched and flustered.
"And you barely know who I am, however that hasn't stopped you from being attracted to me either," you said challengingly.
"Are you-- Are you saying you're attracted to me?"
You studied him, a silence filling the air between the two of you. Your faces were only a few inches apart and you wanted to attempt something, so you leaned forward and--
A sudden shock of Peter’s spider sense going off caused him to jump backwards, back bending along the arm of the couch, staring at you with panic as he assessed that yes, you had just leaned in to kiss him.
Peter continued to gaze at you with his panic stricken expression, as your face slowly morphed into a look of glee, and he could have sworn your eyes flashed green again with magic.
"You're fun," You said breathlessly, "You are nothing like the men back home."
You placed a hand on his shoulder to draw him in once more, before saying, "I would like to get to know you some more Peter Parker."
"Are you gonna try to kiss me again?" he rushed out.
"Would you like me too?"
"Yes-- No-- I mean-- I don't know what the protocol is here."
"There is no protocol. I may be a ward of Midgard but I am still the Princess of Asgard and Goddess of Mischief. I will be gone within a year. So would you like to kiss me before I go?"
He bit his lip, contemplating the correct answer before slowly nodding.
"I would like that too." you grinned, before an idea came to mind. You hadn't seen your father in quite a bit due to Thor being busy, so you decided to use this as an opportunity, "But first, I need a favor from you Peter Parker."
"S-sure, anything."
"I would like to visit my father."
Peter's face dropped, "I'm sorry Princess but I can't do that."
"I know you're not supposed to, but my Uncle has gone back to visit Asgard a few days ago and I haven't been able to see my father since I first arrived and I am asking you because I think you are kind enough. The others would never take me to visit him."
Peter looked away, contemplating his options. You were right in saying that the others would never let you see your father.
"Can we wait until your uncle-- I mean, Thor, comes back?"
You sighed, leaning away from him and Peter immediately missed your closeness, "I suppose. However he isn't meant to come back for quite a bit. My grandfather, Odin, will be waking up from the Odinsleep in a while, and my Uncle needs to be there for Asgard until that time comes. I'm worried I won't be able to see my father before they free him by the end of the month."
"Oh... Then, maybe, just for a short while, I could maybe accompany you in the cells--" he conceded.
"You would?" you asked, immediately leaning in close to him again, "I would only need a few minutes and you could stay with me the entirety of the meeting. Then afterwards... I would like to get to understand you better Peter."
Peter found himself nodding like a lovesick fool. "Okay..." Suddenly he remembered what he would need in order to get you down there, "It's not going to be easy. I need to find the code for the cell room and there's going to be guards."
"Well... perhaps if you would allow me. I could bewitch the guards so that we could sneak past." Peter suddenly narrowed his eyes, so you backtracked seeing as you were willing to do whatever need be in order to see your father once more, "Unless you would like to do it another way? I won't use my magic if it makes you feel uneasy. I only want to see my father before he leaves, not get you nor I in any trouble."
Peter nodded, "As long as you don't hurt them then I guess it's fine."
"Of course."
"There's also the issue with the cameras."
"I can bewitch them as well."
"Alright then," and slowly Peter started smiling at the prospect of going on a little adventure with you. "First we need to go into one of the labs to find the code. I'll have to hack into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s database to find the passcode but it shouldn't be too hard. I had to do it before and it wasn't too bad."
You grinned, "Perfect."
You followed Peter as he led you to one of the labs as he refused to let you out of his sight-- you assumed he wanted to do something correctly since he would be breaking multiple rules for you.
It didn't take long for him to find the passcode, thoroughly impressing you as you couldn't even begin to understand the complexities of their technology. And he was leading you down to the bottom floor in no time, making sure to point out all of the cameras along the way.
Peter didn't even need to ask you to bewitch the guards because he immediately noticed a green fog in their eyes the moment they came into view. He glanced back at you a bit nervously but seeing as his Spider-Sense hadn't been triggered by you, he figured that you really weren't planning anything.
He felt bad not trusting you as you had seemed sincere when speaking to him along with Thor vouching for your trustworthiness, and he knew he shouldn't judge someone based on the actions of their parents, but you made him nervous... but again that could just be because you were so fucking pretty.
Punching in the passcode, Peter shoved the piece of paper he wrote the numbers on into his pocket before leading you to your father-- well, it was more like he was wandering the cell blocks, looking for Loki seeing as he had never been down here before.
As Peter stumbled around, you stalked down the hall with a purpose, Peter not missing how elegant your walk was.
And soon the two of you were in front of your father's cell.
Loki was sitting up on the bed once he noticed your approach, and he raised an eyebrow as he looked from you to Peter.
Peter felt a chill run down his spine as Loki studied him.
”Where’s Thor?”
You quirked a brow, “Have you forgotten already father? He had to leave for Asgard a few days prior.”
”Right,” He nodded, glancing at Peter briefly, “I presumed you were just avoiding me.”
You laughed, “Of course not. You should thank Peter for allowing me to see you before you leave.”
”I see… Are you that Spider-Boy…?” Loki asked.
Peter shifted on his feet, glancing back at you, “It’s Man. Spider…Man.” He finished awkwardly.
”Ah…” Loki nodded, turning back to you, “How have your accommodations been?”
”Fine I suppose. Stark has his men watching me around the clock so it could be better.”
Loki scoffed, ”They’re infantalizing you.”
”Yes, but I can’t blame them. You haven’t set a very good example so I can see why they don’t trust me.”
Loki rolled his eyes, moving onto the next thing, “I need to apologize to you. I would have liked to do it in private but seeing as I won’t see you for a year, I should do it now.”
“Go on,” you nodded.
“What I did to you was… unfair. I should have let you know, but I didn’t and what’s done is done now, and I can’t take away the pain I caused you for my ruse. So… I’m sorry.”
You jutted your chin out, holding back the tears that pricked behind your eyes at his words. You gave him a curt nod. “Unfortunately I cannot accept your apology, but I do thank you for it… I care about you deeply father, so I ask you to please, never pull a stunt like that again… or at least tell me before you do.”
”I promise.”
You nodded once more, knowing that his word to you was the only word he would never go back on.
“Good. We’ll be heading back now.”
”Very well. I love you (Y/N).”
The words sounded foreign. Despite the obvious care you both held for each other it was simply not in your natures to voice them, but sometimes, very rarely, he could ignore what was ingrained in him.
And so could you.
”I love you too father. Have a good night.”
After you bid your farewells, you and Peter were taking your leave.
Peter was quiet as he followed you out with a feeling of guilt weighing heavy on his heart.
He had been so distracted by your appearance and fancy titles that he had almost forgotten you were human— actually he wasn’t sure whether you were human or not, but you clearly had feelings and your situation was truly dawning on him.
He felt like an intruder, watching the interaction between you and Loki, almost like it wasn’t meant for his eyes and ears. But he knew that whatever Loki had done, it had hurt you. And as selfish as it was Peter liked seeing this vulnerable side of you.
”Let’s go to my room.”
”Huh—?” Peter asked, staring at the back of your head, “Are you sure?”
”Yes.”
”Are the guards—“
”They returned to normal once we were out of sight,” you said as you stepped into the elevator with Peter.
”What floor—“
”Go to the library first. We need to make it seem as if we were leaving from there.”
”Right.”
Peter did as you said, going to the library where you two had assumed your earlier positions before you stopped bewitching the cameras. From there, the two of you left to go to your bedroom.
Once there, Peter watched as you situated yourself on your bed while he stood awkwardly by the door.
He noticed the look in your eyes now seemed distant than they were earlier. Peter understood that he didn't know you very well-- in fact, he had only known you for about four hours in total but even still, he had a feeling that this faraway look in your eyes was not who you typically were.
"Can I... ask you something?" Peter asked with hesitation, shoving his hands in his pockets as he looked around your barely lived in room.
You blinked, almost as if remembering he was still there, "Yes."
"I don't mean to pry but... what did Loki do to you? It just seems like something happened between the two of you," he said, fumbling with his words.
You pursed your lips with a hum, debating whether or not to share your sob story with him. But you guessed that after you left you wouldn't be seeing him ever again so... why not?
"I don't know what Midgard knew of my father's antics before he tried conquering Midgard again, but he faked his own death."
Peter nodded in recognition, "Yeah, I actually did hear about that."
"Yes... and he lied to me too."
"He didn't... you believed he was dead too?"
You nodded, "I believed he was dead for years... So imagine my surprise when my Uncle comes to me, telling me my own father who we both believed to be dead-- who we held a funeral for, was captured on Midgard and I was to replace him as Midgard's ward in order to free him." You continued, "I’ve seen him for one of the first times in years,  just to be without him for another year."
You stared across the room and Peter continued to gaze into the distant look in your eyes. He found it quite ironic how you were saying you liked broken things when Peter could see that you were feeling just as broken.
But suddenly, you snapped out of it and looked up at Peter.
"But enough about that. I'd prefer to hear you speak instead. Come, sit." You invited, patting a free space on your bed.
Peter walked over, starting to feel a little bit more comfortable around you as he sat at the end of the bed, leaving more than enough space between you both.
"You called yourself Spider-Man?" You asked, remembering what he had said when you both visited Loki.
"Yeah," Peter grinned, "That’s my um, alias.”
”I see,” you hummed, “You seem to be much younger than the others.”
”Yeah, when I was 15 I got bitten by this radioactive spider and it gave me superpowers, so I kinda got into the game pretty early on.” He shrugged.
”What kind of powers did you receive?”
“Oh y’know… super strength, speed, flexibility… I guess that’s the normal stuff when you think of super powers.”
You moved closer to him, making him blush even though there was still plenty of space between you both. “Did the bite make you humble as well or was that always apart of you?”
Peter blushed harder, laughing awkwardly as you fixed him once again with one of your intense gazes.
”I-um— I dunno,” he stuttered, before finding himself into another one of his ramblings, “Another cool thing I got though is this spider sense, so I can like tell when I’m in danger before something happens.”
This really piqued your interest, “Really now? To what extent?”
”I’m not too sure… like one time I was able to tell the milk was spoiled before I drank it, and like before… when you leaned in, I knew you were going to kiss me, that’s why my reaction was kinda, uh, violent…” He trailed off.
You quirked a brow, “So you think I’m dangerous?”
”No!” He yelped, “It’s just— I was able to tell you were going to do something kind of, I dunno, but it’s like I think you kissing me would have surprised me which is why it triggered my spider sense— do you know what I mean?”
You laughed at his desperation, “So, if I tried to kiss you again, would you move away?”
”Um… No?”
You hummed, placing a hand on his shoulder and gently pushing him down.
”W-what are you doing?”
“Relax Peter. You’ve been on edge for hours now. Are you usually like this?” You asked.
Peter eyed you warily, allowing you to push him down onto your bed, gasping when you straddled his lap.
He jerked up onto his elbows, looking frantically around the room, “Are there cameras in here. If Mr. Stark sees this then—“
”Shh,” you hushed, placing a finger on his lips, his wide eyes meeting yours again. “I’ll take that as a yes. And no, there are no cameras in here.”
Peter felt even more on edge now. You were setting off his spider sense with whatever you were planning making him feel stuck between a rock and a hard place.
On the one hand he knew he shouldn’t be doing this, this was technically fraternizing with the enemy seeing as you were Loki’s daughter and Mr. Stark didn’t trust you yet but on the other hand… here was a goddess practically throwing herself at him.
You placed both hands on his chest and pushed back down again and he allowed you to.
You leaned over him, placing both hands on either side of his head, your hair draping down around his face.
”You look scared Peter.”
”I’m sorry.” He rushed out in a single, high pitched breath.
”Don’t be,” you lilted, dragging a finger along his jaw, “I find it endearing. The boys on Asgard are always so full of themselves, it’s nice to see how… compliant you are. It is doing wonders for my ego right now,” you said with a laugh.
Peter gulped, his entire body was tingling, especially where you kept stroking his skin. And he swore, waiting for you to kiss him was driving him mad as the anticipation was almost too much to handle, so instead he found himself leaning up and crashing his lips to yours instead.
You reciprocated immediately, pushing him back down to the bed as you took control of the kiss. His lips were completely to your mercy as you kissed and nipped at them.
”There’s… something about— you,” you said in between kisses, “That makes me feel… powerful.”
“Oh shit,” Peter muttered at the feeling of his hands being restrained by magic. He broke the kiss, looking at his hands, then back at you. A soft unrestrained whimper escaping him.
Peter clearly had no idea what he was getting himself into, but he was starting to realize.
“Oh my God,” Peter hissed, jerking his hips up as you shoved your hand down his pants, “Princess, I—“
”I’m very impressed,” you hummed, squeezing his cock, “Back on Asgard there are many rumors about Midgardian men being small, but I can’t say that about you.”
Peter’s face grew ten times more red with your comment, moaning as you squeezed him.
”Wait— Princess, if you keep doing that, I’ll—“
”That soon, huh?” You said with a laugh, quite enjoying the helpless and desperate look on his face, “Very well,” you let go of him, pulling your hand out of his jeans. “I wouldn’t want to spoil the fun too soon.”
Peter felt a rush of air enter his lungs once you let go, chest rising and falling rapidly. “I’m sorry,” he said once again.
”For what?” You asked with a raised brow, “There are plenty more activities we can partake in first. I’m actually quite interested in seeing what your mouth can do. Care to show me?”
Peter swallowed nervously, “You mean— you want me too…?”
”Would you like to?”
Peter found himself at a loss for words, only being able to nod frantically in agreement.
”Wonderful,” you giggled, climbing off him.
You situated yourself on your back, leaning up on your elbows.
Peter watched as you pulled up your dress and spread your legs… for him.
He must’ve fucking died and gone to heaven at that point.
Peter also thought that this must have been his reward for dealing with all the grief and pain he had endured in his life.
He sat up. Staring at your cunt— you hadn’t even been wearing underwear this entire goddamn time.
Peter was struck with the sudden need to make you feel good. He wanted to prove to you that yes— he was so much better than the boys back on Asgard. He would do anything for the Princess of Asgard and Goddess of Mischief to be hooked on the pleasure only little Peter Parker from Midgard could provide.
He would have done anything for you in that moment just to prove he was good enough.
He tentatively made his way between your thighs. You leaned up further, pressing your lips against his briefly before muttering, “Get to work.”
Peter stared back at you with a puppy-like gaze, bright and completely under your control.
He did as you said and laid down on his stomach.
Your cunt was only a breath away, his cock twitched realizing how wet you were— you wanted him.
Without any more hesitation, he dived forward, dragging his tongue against you. He relished the moan that left you upon licking your clit.
He moaned at your taste, he was sure that he’d never get enough of it now. He wrapped his arms around your thighs, tongue focusing on your clit.
You laid back with a gasp, fingers tangling into his brown curls. This wasn’t exactly part of the plan for today, but you’d take it. He was much better with his mouth than you were expecting.
You bucked your hips against his mouth and gave a harsh tug to his curls, making him whimper. “Use your fingers,” you ordered.
He did as you asked without a moments hesitation, letting go of your thigh to press his fingers into you, immediately curling his fingers to find what he was looking for.
”A little more— ah, there,” you gasped out in bliss as he continued to thrust his fingers into you while sucking on your clit.
Peter stared up at you. You were so fucking gorgeous he was sure this was a dream.
Your mouth fell slack as you moaned out his name, eyes screwed shut and toes curling. He was doing this. He was the one making you feel this good right now.
Peter nearly came in his pants, untouched, as you opened your eyes and locked your gaze with his.
Eyes smoldering and intense, even more so than they had been earlier, almost making him freeze in his spot if he wasn’t so determined to make you cum.
And you did.
While moaning his name.
Peter worked you through your orgasm, letting you buck against his face until you became limp, laying against the bed as you panted.
Peter pulled his fingers out of you, making you whimper. He then pulled away from you, his mouth and chin covered in your slick.
”You taste really good,” Peter said breathlessly, moving up your body.
”Do I?” You giggled, clearly in a much better mood. “Care to give me a taste then?”
”Yeah,” he breathed, leaning down to press his lips to yours again.
You were nearly too much for poor Peter Parker to handle as he hadn’t felt his spider sense calm down since this began.
Your fingers toyed with the curls at the nape of his neck, lips moving against his lazily after your orgasm.
It only took you a few moments to get back into the game as you pushed his hoodie down his shoulders. He eagerly pulled it off, tossing it off the bed.
He broke the kiss, tugging his t-shirt off and making you giggle.
”You seem very eager,” you commented, eyeing his chest and abs.
”After that— yeah.”
You sat up, fingers trailing up his arms. “I really must say that you are full of surprises,” you hummed, thoroughly impressed with how muscular he was. “I think it’s your turn.”
You sat up more, pushing him back onto the bed so he lay on his back, once again straddling his hips and giving you an even better view of his upper body.
You rolled your hips, making him grunt and feel how hard he was.
Now, growing up, Peter learned an important life lesson.
If something seemed to be too good to be true, it usually was.
His crush asking him out in ninth grade was a prank.
Spider-Man seemed like a pretty sweet deal until he realized that he’d nearly die and get his loved ones killed many times over.
The time the Princess of Asgard and Goddess of Mischief seduced him?
Turned out to be apart of a fucking scheme.
“What is going on here!?” Peter suddenly heard, and none other than from Nick Fury as the door was violently thrown open.
You looked up to find Stark, Thor, and the rest of the Avengers standing in the doorway. Tony’s arm wearing the arm of his suit, palm open and ready to shoot.
”What!?” Peter yelped, sitting up and pushing you off him.
”Loki’s missing,” Tony suddenly said, “And we had a feeling it might have something to do with his daughter considering you two were no where to be found on the camera system.”
Peter’s head snapped towards you, eyes widened in panic.
You sighed, your shoulders sagging as you climbed off the bed.
“A shame really,” you hummed, looking back at Peter, “Things were really about to get fun.” You turned back to the Avengers. “Next time, it would serve you well to take your own advice Stark. If you ever meet someone with the word ‘Mischief’ in their name. Don’t trust them… and Uncle,” you looked at Thor, “I do apologize, but it had to be done.”
”Then it’s too late?” Thor asked defeatedly.
“What’s going on?” Tony asked, aiming his question at Thor, “Why do you Asgardians always talk in riddles?”
You only smiled and with a wave goodbye and a flare of green light… you were gone.
”Where’d she go?” Nick demanded furiously of Thor, the others now waiting on him.
”That wasn’t her,” Thor answered, “That was merely a replication of her. Her true self must have slipped out and freed Loki… I would imagine that they are both off Midgard by now.”
"Her true self must have slipped out, huh?" Nick Fury repeated accusingly, now staring at Peter, "I wonder how she managed that."
Peter's mouth fell open as everyone now stared at him. "Okay. I know this looks bad--"
"Looks bad?" Steve hissed, finally speaking up for the first time, "Tony being caught playing with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s new weapons 'looks bad'. Not only did you let our only assurance that Loki wasn't going to attack Earth escape with him but you were about to--"
"In the kid's defense," Bucky started, cutting Steve off, "She probably could have done that to most of us, her tactics seemed kind of... foolproof."
Nat shook her head, "We need to debrief this properly. Everyone in the conference room, Tony get Bruce, I'll get Clint, and Peter... put your shirt on." She quickly stalked off with a few of the others following behind.
Peter stared at the ground, sitting guiltily under Nick, Tony, and Steve's glares, "She's right." Fury said, "We'll review this and figure out what our next steps are," and finally the last of them were leaving.
Peter buried his face in his hands and swore that if he ever saw you again he was going to... well he didn't know what he was going to do yet, but he sure as hell was fucking pissed and humiliated.
***
"Let's go," you muttered, pulling your father along with you and giving a nod towards Heimdall.
"Why are you in such a rush," Loki asked, wondering why you seemed so apprehensive.
"I doubt Thor will think we came to Asgard but we can never be too sure-- My plan isn't over yet."
Loki quirked a brow, "You set up more than just our escape?"
"Of course."
He hummed, walking with you towards the kingdom, "I’m impressed."
"I'm just glad you picked up on my lie about Thor's whereabouts back in the cell."
"That quirk in your brow wasn't as subtle as you think, however you did a nice job in choosing the weakest of the Avengers."
You shrugged, "He’s a young and naive man— they all think the same. Show them a pretty face and there’s only one thing on their mind. I was able to slip this from him without him knowing," you said, raising the piece of paper with the passcode that he had shoved into his pocket earlier.
Loki tsked, “I don’t want to know what you got up to with that boy, but I will assume that you did what needed to be done. What's the plan now?"
"Well, I figured since this entire situation stemmed from you wanting to rule a realm then... you'll rule Asgard."
"And how are we accomplishing that?"
"You will pretend to be grandfather." You said.
"And what will you do with your grandfather then?"
"I'll take care of that. You just focus on ruling Asgard.”
”Hm, I guess you take after me more than I thought.” He hummed.
You didn’t respond, now focused on figuring out how to proceed with the next phase of your plan.
That, and trying to ignore the way your mind kept wanting to think about the Midgardian boy and how he made you feel.
But just like every man you felt for before, you’d crush each and every one of those feelings… you had a much more glorious purpose to live up to after all.
