One of the most famous Algerian traditional costumes is the karakou (a costume consisting of two pieces, a jacket and a pants).
The karakou is worn by both men and women.
The women's version differs bu the shape of the jacket itself and the embroideries used in it.
In the past, the karakou was called Jabadouli or Jabadour, its name changed at the beginning of the 19th century, so the female version became called Karakou, while the male version retained its old name, Jabadour or Jabadouli.
But recently, Morocco began to promote this authentic Algerian dress as a Moroccan heritage, and the communication sites are full of pictures of Moroccan artists and celebrities wearing this Algerian dress.
And call him the Moroccan Jabdour? !!!!!!!!
How long will this theft scenario continue and when will the Ministry of Culture intervene to protect the Algerian heritage? !!!!!!!!
