My cat got vaccinated (and his teeth cleaned) yesterday and now I can't find his vaccine card anywhere. 😶‍🌫️ I only managed to find his vet bill, dental chart, and instructions on how to take care of him at home after the treatment, but not the goddamn card. 😣 I can't even remember if I brought it inside the house because I didn't have my bag with me, but I did a quick sweep inside the car and I couldn't see it there either.

*sighs* Maybe I'll have to call the vet's tomorrow.

sharing the theme i’ve been using on my main blog, which a couple of anons have asked for (some of them a while ago, sorry!!). finally got around to polishing it up!

single column theme with a left sidebar and optional right sidebar that includes sections for updates, a featured project, and site info. geared towards writeblrs, but of course anyone can use! includes a sidebar image, icon, project image, five custom links, four post sizes, any google font, custom title, and iconsax icons. the audio player is the “light accent” color, which doesn’t show up in the preview for some reason! icons and sidebar image in preview via unsplash. how to find literally any post on a blog in seconds (on desktop)

there are so many posts about ~tumblr is so broken, you can’t find any post on your own blog, it’s impossible, bluhrblub~

I am here to tell you otherwise! it is in fact INCREDIBLY easy to find a post on a blog if you’re on desktop/browser and you know what you’re doing:

url.tumblr.com/tagged/croissant will bring up EVERY post on the blog tagged with the specific and exact phrase #croissant. every single post, every single time. in chronological order starting with the most recent post. note: it will not find #croissants or that time you made the typo #croidnssants. for a tag with multiple words, it’s just /tagged/my-croissant and it will show you everything with the exact phrase #my croissant

url.tumblr.com/tagged/croissant/chrono will bring up EVERY post on the blog tagged with the exact phrase #croissant, but it will show them in reverse order with the oldest first 

url.tumblr.com/search/croissant isn’t as perfect at finding everything, but it’s generally loads better than the search on mobile. it will find a good array of posts that have the word croissant in them somewhere. could be in the body of the post (op captioned it “look at my croissant”) or in the tags (#man I want a croissant). it won’t necessarily find EVERYTHING like /tagged/ does, but I find it’s still more reliable than search on mobile. you can sometimes even find posts by a specific user by searching their url. also, unlike whatever random assortment tumblr mobile pulls up, it will still show them in a more logically chronological order

url.tumblr.com/day/2020/11/05 will show you every post on the blog from november 5th, 2020, in case you’re taking a break from croissants to look for destiel election memes 

url.tumblr.com/archive/ is search paradise. easily go to a particular month and see all posts as thumbnails! search by post type! search by tags but as thumbnails now

url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/audio will show you every audio post on your blog (you can also filter by other post types). sometimes a little imperfect if you’re looking for a video when the op embedded the video in a text post instead of posting as a video post, etc

url.tumblr.com/archive/tagged/croissant will show you EVERY post on the blog tagged with the specific and exact phrase #croissant, but it will show you them in the archive thumbnail view divided by months. very useful if you’re looking for a specific picture of a croissant that was reblogged 6 months ago and want to be able to scan for it quickly 

url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/audio/tagged/croissant will show you every audio post tagged with the specific phrase #croissant (you can also filter by photo or text instead, because I don’t know why you have audio posts tagged croissant) 

the tag system on desktop tumblr is GENUINELY amazing for searching within a specific blog! 

caveat: this assumes a person HAS a desktop theme (or “custom theme”) enabled. a “custom theme” is url.tumblr.com, as opposed to tumblr.com/url. I’ve heard you have to opt-into the former now, when it used to be the default, so not everyone HAS a custom theme where you can use all those neat url tricks. 

if the person doesn’t have a “custom theme” enabled, you’re beholden to the search bar. still, I’ve found the search bar on tumblr.com/url is WAY more reliable than search on mobile. for starters, it tends to bring posts up in a sensible order, instead of dredging up random posts from 2013 before anything else

if you’re on mobile, I’m sorry. godspeed and good luck finding anything. (my one tip is that if you’re able to click ON a tag rather than go through the search bar, you’ll have better luck. if your mutual has recently reblogged a post tagged #croissant, you can click #croissant and it’ll bring up everything tagged #croissant just like /tagged/croissant. but if there’s no readily available tag to click on, you have to rely on the mobile search bar and its weird bizarre whims)

What abt Zack Fair 🧡💙☘️ (I'm biased he was my fav when I was more into ff)

*squeals* I'm so glad to hear that because honestly, I adore him so much, and he makes me wish I'd gotten into FF7 much earlier.

🧡 Do you have anything in common with them? - We both have blue eyes? jkjkjk okay, some things, definitely. We're both stubborn and can get quite temperamental at times. We have the attention span of a goldfish at the worst possible times (xD), and struggle to stay rational and patient when we get excited or anxious about something. We're generally friendly and try to get along with everyone, but that doesn't mean we'll back down from confrontations if such should occur (Zack's way worse though; I'm more like Cloud (though come to think of it, that's hardly any better jkfjkf)). Oh, and we both like motorcycles? Oh yeah! Really wish I knew how to ride one *dreamy eyes*.

☘️ Would you trust them with your life? - Honestly, I go back and forth about this. :D Like, the 3/4 of me wants to say yes because he's strong, a skilled warrior, he's brave, has a good heart, and he would do anything to keep you safe—no matter what happens to him. I mean he managed to take care of Cloud for months and keep him safe, so that counts for something, right?

On the other hand, that 1/4 of me—the rational part of me—says absolutely fucking not because this asshole right here has virtually no sense of self-preservation whatsoever. :'D Should he manage to keep us both safe long enough for us to make it to safety, I doubt I'd still get any sleep at night because I'd end up worrying too much because he attracts trouble like no other, and he dives right into trouble with his heart first and head second, no thoughts, brain empty and- Honey. Listen. I love you, you're precious, I'd die for you and all that shit, but no.

YES!!! I didn't even remember Cradus saying 'get the oil' and 'aching body' lines until I saw these gifs with subs, and then I was like jhgjhgjggj. 🙊😂 It only made me think about this episode and these scenes harder now (so you're welcome *muah*).

And the way the last gif/scene quickly transitions into the next scene, practically suggests that something more R-rated that they didn't want us to see might've taken place there 🙊 (or perhaps it's just my dirty imagination, heh).

I do think Iolaus learned a lot more from Cradus, though. With the way his eyes shift up and down Cradus' eyes and lips, I'm almost certain there was once more between them than just friendship or 'gangship' or whatever you want to call it. 😏

I may in fact have explored this topic long ago in some unfinished/unpublished Young Hercules fic of mine. I wonder if I still have it somewhere...?

one profession that does need better gatekeeping is people who write or translate subtitles. brother that is not what was said.

#i've seen some pretty terrible english to finnish translations from time to time #but nothing beats these particular user-made subtitles that my friend once found somewhere on the internet #when she had (totally legally ofc) acquired this one horror movie for us to watch #and so the finnish subtitles for that one were... on a whole new level let me just say that #we spent most of the movie staring at it like 'omfg what's going on with these subs'. sometimes it was hilarious. at times just annoying #because we were supposed to focus on the movie but the subtitles were just. oh. my. god. there's no describing it #but then comes this scene where one of the main characters shouts: SHIT #and instead of translating it as 'paska (shit)' or 'paskat (shits)' or any other valid finnish swearword out there (we got plenty) #it was translated as PASKANTAA (to shit) #and that's where we lost *our shit* and laughed so hard i thought i would die #because my brother that is not _a toilet_. that is a car. it's not a good place (to) shit. trust me kfjkfjjfkf #after that my friend did some digging & found out that the person responsible for the finnish translation was in fact estonian XD #which might explain some things. our languages are quite similar after all #but still. they are not the same. obviously #so whatever inspired this person to try it in another language. well kudos for trying but uhh. you still got some work to do #translating #translations #languages
