Idk about you but I just can't get that excited about the new Haunted Mansion movie after being teased with a Guillermo del Toro version for years. That man is a true lover of the Haunted Mansion and I'm almost certain his version would have been perfect

sorry i’m answering this a year late…no excuses i didn’t even check my inbox—but i feel this!! i was so excited for gdt’s version, i actually still haven’t seen the new movie because i’m worried i’ll be disappointed, but i do plan on watching it once it hits disney+

Synopsis

In this mysterious adventure, a doctor (Dawson) and her 9-year-old son (Dillon), looking to start a new life, move into a strangely affordable mansion in New Orleans, only to discover that the place is much more than they bargained for. Desperate for help, they contact a priest (Wilson), who, in turn, enlists the aid of a widowed scientist-turned failed-paranormal expert (Stanfield), a French Quarter psychic (Haddish) and a crotchety historian (DeVito).
