Disposable Razors & Cartridges

I just get jazzed about collecting razors. This blog is an archive of every razor I have owned so far.

Fun Fact

The majority of Tumblr users, 36%, are aged 18-34, a coveted market for most companies.

Health Smart Eclipse 3 disposable. This razor was purchased in a 3-pack for $1 at a local discount store. I knew it wasn’t going to be a good razor, but at that price, curiosity got the better of me and I decided to try it out “just in case”.

Of course, it is a garbage razor, only good for one sub-par shave. One of the razors in the pack had blades too warped to consider using.

Personna Twin Blade Plus disposable. This is the pink variant marketed to women. This razor was purchased as a generic at Kroger.

This is a very pleasant, cheap razor to use. I am especially pleased with it because I found it on clearance as well. I don’t particularly like the bubblegum pink color, though.

Super Dorco II disposable. This is the blue variant marketed to men. This razor was purchased as a generic from Dollar Tree.

This is a pretty good value razor. I got nearly two weeks’ worth of shaves out of one.

Dorco Lucky 7. The handle for this razor is actually a Lucky Tiger branded color variant of the Pace 6. The logo shows some signs of wear because I’ve used it a few times. The Lucky 7 cartridge features the same honeycomb guard as the Pace 7 - it is also just a recolored variant. This razor was only sold as a limited edition Lucky 7 bundle.

Seven blades is a lot to pack into one cartridge, but it’s actually a very good razor. I also included a picture of the razor with a Shave It Pro (rebranded/recolored Pace 5 Pro) cartridge because I think it looks a little nicer.

BIC Metal disposable. This is a single-blade disposable with a smooth metal bar instead of a plastic or rubber guard.

It’s honestly a pretty crappy razor. I got maybe a week’s worth of sub-par shaves out of it. Its narrow head is useful for getting into tight spaces like under the nose, though.

Schick Intuition Revitalizing Moisture. It looks scarlet in promotional imagery, but it’s actually more of a coral in person. The cartridge shows some wear from use.

It’s obviously not designed for face shaving, so it’s tricky to use - the moisture bar is really nice, though! Gives a very close shave.

Harry’s Truman razor in Bright Orange color. This is the “gen 2″ handle that replaced the original plastic ones. It’s also the first Harry’s razor I ever bought.

The blades feel a little rough to me, so the shave isn’t the greatest.
