massive kudos to heartstopper s2 for so amazingly discussing not only how hard it is to come out but specifically how hard it is to come out as bisexual. kit connor acts his absolute heart out and whilst it’s never nice to watch i also appreciated the calling out of the biphobia most bisexual people fear before coming out- “pick a side” “are you sure you’re not gay” etc. so happy a show this big has handled such an underrepresented topic so well 🥰

something about the way natalie has given the absolute most for those girls in the last ten months, she has been hiking for hours upon hours with the weight of her own hunger as well as her friends hunger weighing down upon her but it’s up to her to feed them isn’t it? and isn’t it laughable that she’s then chosen to be the prey the first time, after spending all season doing what the other girls are finally doing to her. they’re hunting her like she was hunting for them.

pit girl's death as an echo of javi's. both run onto what they believe is solid ground only to fall straight through. both allow the yellowjackets to believe "it" has chosen their victims' deaths, not them, but who watched him drown? who sharpened the sticks?

"joel took away ellie's choice"- damn it's almost like he knew they were both gonna just end up killed.. it's almost like he had no choice either and the fireflies were always gonna kill her with or without her knowledge. it's almost like ellie is a child who does not deserve the weight of the world on her shoulders like this. it's almost like her survivors guilt and unresolved trauma is what drives her to feel as if her entire life needs to end to compensate for those she's lost; it's almost like joel indulging ellie's martyrdom is a far worse thing than saving her on the chance she doesn't want to die. it's almost like she genuinely was never in the right conditions to consent to begin with and was never going to have the chance to regardless. idk

I think the show was a bit scary and stuff before. But this episode? No cordyceps, no clickers. Just men. That is what made this episode so incredibly terrifying.
It’s not that it’s scary bc it’s an apocalypse. It’s scary bc David is just a man, and running into someone like him is not a rarity in our world OR the apocalyptic world of the show
