can i really just... log back in to this blog after three and a half years of radio silence and resume yelling into the internet void? 

i’m not the same person i was when i last logged in to this account in any regard, i’m barely a person at all anymore tbh, but I was feeling a little nostalgic for when i used to have a community here and just wanted to come back and say hey.

I’m never on here anymore but....... I started testosterone today! and I want to yell about it from the rooftops! This is the biggest and Most exciting thing!

I’m thinking about Sam joining an LGBT club his freshman year of college, and finally finding a community and having the space to explore himself. The club takes the train together up to SF Pride, and Sam is absolutely in awe at the acceptance and unconditional love everyone there has for each other. 

He’s still new to wearing binders, not quite used to the suffocated-but-right feeling of them, and having a sock shoved in his underwear feels weird, and he keeps expecting someone to make fun of him or point him out or tell him to stop pretending- but nobody does.

Nobody thinks he’s a freak, and a drag queen even gives him a kiss on the cheek. He buys a small pin with the trans flag on it, and wears it proudly on the train ride back to Palo Alto.

So I’m thinking about some well-meaning concerned civilian calling CPS because there are two children left unattended for weeks on end in a dingy motel in the middle of Wyoming- and the officer that shows up on the job is Castiel, compassionate and experienced with the job and prepared to get these endangered kids to safety. 

Sam and Dean don’t open the door when he first knocks, obviously- eventually, after some persistence, Dean opens the door just enough to try to sweet-talk the officer into leaving. And Castiel plays that game right back, he knows everything to say to make wary, abused kids trust him.

Eventually he gets in, and sees that the other kid is even younger, eyeing his older brother like he won’t say anything to the newcomer without permission. Castiel’s sure he has a complicated case on his hands- neither boy is saying anything about where their parents are, and nothing in the room is an immediate giveaway of endangerment, but Castiel still has a bad feeling about the whole situation. 

There’s a lot of talking in circles and avoidance. When Dean brushes past Sam to get a glass of water, the hand that lingers just for a second on the little brother’s waist catches Castiel’s eye.

Really, it’s too easy for Dean to convince Castiel to see his side- Castiel always thinks he’s above the manipulation of the children he works with, but Dean is really, really good at it. Dean’s hands are always on Sam, just innocent touches, and Sam leans into it, both of them now looking Castiel over like he’s prey instead of a predator. 

It doesn’t take long after Castiel sees a certain glint in Sam’s eye before he’s spread out under them on a dingy hotel bed, and he knows there’s no way he could possibly manage to file a report about these fucked-up, codependent, beautiful-crazy brothers.

I always try to tell myself that my job doesn’t emotionally wear me down but like. In the past week I’ve had:

-a convicted rapist (who has followed me to my car before!) try to ask me out to dinner and then follow me around for a while

-a guy who gave me death threats a week ago tell me I’m pretty regardless of if I’m a girl or a guy and then also follow me around for a while

-multiple guys (at least one of them another convicted rapist) ask me when I get off work with the clear intention in their voice that they wanted to meet up

like! my job is good! but dear lord it wears me down a whole lot more than I ever acknowledge! I’m so tired of the constant sexual harassment! and none of my managers take it seriously at all!!!!

I kinda love stories where cops or feds arrest Sam and Dean, and they think that Sam needs to be protected because he’s been dragged around by his psycho dad all his life and now that their dad is dead Dean’s taken over the “psycho patriarch” role… but what they don’t know is that Sam’s really the one who’s in control, he’s always been in control, because he’s the boy king of Hell and Dean’s just helpless in love with him and along for the ride.

I kind of love dark!Sam looking so sweet and innocent and helpless with his big puppy eyes, but he’s really the scariest monster around.

anyway I know I’m never on here Ever anymore but

I got real drunk on rum and coke last night and a whole gender crisis that had been bubbling up to the surface for years all came out at once and I had Such a good talk with my boyfriend and I felt so light today and like. I don’t know where I’m going to go with gender but it felt so good to acknowledge and talk about how I’ve been feeling that it really feels like I can take this whole thing one step at a time and that’s Fine and like. just hearing “tyler, that’s dysphoria. that’s all dysphoria. there’s nothing wrong with you, you’re just trans” was. so nice
