seeing dazai dead is soooo sickening. like even if he's still alive and this is a huge gotcha, it still looks wrong. idk this man is the embodiment of one last hope, someone who always has one more backup plan, one more ace up his sleeve, what would dazai do, we need to get to dazai, he'll think of a solution, just keep on keeping on. and seeing him a pile of flesh and blood on the floor is just. im genuinely unwell

So I just saw something really interesting. We know that the next episode is titled "Twilight Goodbye"
Well, in Nakahara Chuuya's "Poems of the Goat" there are two poems called "The Terrible Twilight" and "The Twilight of This Spring Day"
Another thing to note is that Dazai Osamu's very last work was called "Goodbye" which was left unfinished because of his death
One thing that's also on my mind is what Kisho Taniyama (Chuuya's VA) said in an interview regarding s5:
"If you watch this fifth season all the way to the end, i think you will be able to feel more of the depth of the relationship that Dazai and Chuuya have established."
Emphasis on "all the way to the end"
I'm not too sure as to what to make of this honestly cause my mind is a mess after this episode

There are so many parallels between the current chapter and the scene in Dazai's Entrance Exam where Kunikida "shoots" Dazai.
In both Dazai goads his partner into "killing" him, to fool a mastermind who set them up to fight into thinking he has been taken out of the picture. And in both cases, after Dazai says a certain line, the person shoots him without hesitation.
For Kunikida, it was because he realised what Dazai's plan was and knew he would be fine, so why wouldn't it be the same for Chuuya.
I think that last line from Dazai was deliberately acting out of character to alert Chuuya to his real plan (whatever that is)
THERE ARE SO MANY PARALLELS
