Repalying the original. It is interesting and in some ways I like how Zack does not bequeath Cloud his sword in the original. He doesn’t say any encouraging words. Because Zack is dead when Cloud crawls over to him. It makes it an even more tragic but quiet scene. No words. Cloud in the rain with Zack’s dead body.

#yesss i love the og scene its so much more impactful to me. just the silence the heartbeat in the background #i feel like the cc ending is sort of zacks version where he gets a proper send off and knows cloud is alive and can die pecefully #whereas the og is how cloud saw it. zack fights the battalion offscreen. all we see is the trooper keep shooting after hes already down #i love the language of the og dude. the way cloud just crawls to him and stares at the sky. nothibg is said but you can feel his grief #ff7

there's something very funny when you play the original final fantasy 7 and the final fantasy 7 remakes back to back where the way Cloud and Sephiroth interact has completely changed due to 25 years of yaoification. in the original game they barely even talk to eachother. in remake and rebirth they can't go 12 seconds without gazing deeply into eachother's eyes
