Mini Boos Collectibles by TY
Age: 3+ (Not suitable for children under 3)
Price(UK): ÂŁ3
Bought from: The Entertainer(TheToyShop.com)
Pros:
The piece is unscratched and unblemished.
It’s nicely mold and feels good when holding it. And is able hold itself.
The eyes are gorgeous with what looks like blue glitter irises.
It’s a very cute piece and looks nice on a shelf.
£3 isn’t a bad price for a painted, plastic sculpture.
Any Cons/Defects?:
The outside packaging is very bland and doesn’t really stand out for me.
It’s not at all posable. I think it would have been nice if you could at least move the head.
It doesn’t really have much playability to it. It could potentially be used in imaginative play but more likely; it’ll be collecting dust on a shelf.
It’s another blind box toy which means there’s no guarantee what character you’ll get.
Not much to say with this one. It’s a nice sculpted piece and is very cute but outside of that there’s not much to it.

Boxy Girls by Jay@Play
Age: 6+ (Not suitable for children under 3, due to small parts)
Price(UK): ÂŁ10
Bought from: The Entertainer(TheToyShop.com)
She’s a Boxy Girl in a Boxy world.
Pros:
The packaging on the box is adorable. And I liked the easy to pull pull strip at the top, making it easier to open.
The hair is nicely styled and had very little fallout.
The dolls make up is nicely done and stylized with noticeable blemishes or scratches.
The doll is able to stand with it’s shoes on and unaided.
The shoes and clothes are easy to take off and put back on again.
The clothing is well stitched and the velcro is firmly attached.
The doll is articulate at the: shoulder, hips, wrists, knees, head and ankles.
ÂŁ10 was a good price for this doll.
Any Cons/Defects?:
Although it has articulation at the knees, it doesn’t have any at the elbows which I feel is a bit disappointing.
The hair, though nicely stylized, is very stiff feeling.
A big pet peeve for me is mystery boxes. It doesn’t matter the cost, I should be able to get the toy that I want and not have to gamble on a dice roll.
Things that personally bothered me:
I don’t like that, at least with my doll, it’s a weird dress but it’s a separate shirt and skirt sewn together.
Their head isn’t square enough for me and looks less charming and more like something that wants to steal my soul.
Overall, I really liked this doll but I feel that the concept needs to be ironed out a bit more. I enjoyed how posable it was and I like the price for the product.

#Snapstar by YULU
Age: 5+ (Not suitable for children under 3 years old due to small parts)
Price(UK): ÂŁ13.50
Bought from: The Entertainer(TheToyShop.com)
This is Lola, she is a #Snapstar doll and according to her box she loves animals and looking/sharing pictures on her social media.
Pros:
I love her hair and how pretty it is. I also like how easy it is to detach and reattach to her head.
Her face is so nice and her eyes are beautiful.
I adore her clothes and unicorn bag. They were very easy to take off the doll and put back on again.
There were no noticeable defects on the doll whatsoever.
She is fully articulated. She has movement at her: head, chest, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles.
ÂŁ13.50 is a good price for this toy. Not just for the lovely doll and her accessories but also for the green screen and stand that is included.
She is easily posable and is good at holding her shape.
Any Cons/Defects?:
There was a lot of loose threads on the clothing but removing them did not damage the quality of the clothes.
I don’t like how visible the skull cap of the hair is at times.
The mobile accessory looked warped. (Unless that was deliberate?).
I didn’t get round to the green screen portion of the toy as I don’t personally own a smartphone which means that that can be slightly limiting when it comes to all of the content that comes with the doll. Meaning that some children wont be able to play with the app as intended because they don’t have access to smart devices.
Things that personally bothered me:
You can’t tell from the pictures but her neck is weirdly long for the rest of her body. But it’s not a deal breaker and not a big issue, just something weird that I noticed.
The shorts a bit too short for my personal taste.
So, what is my overall opinion? I was blown away by this doll. I went into the shop and picked her up on a whim, I did not expect to find myself becoming excited by this doll. But genuinely I almost immediately fell in love with it. I love almost everything about this toy. I’m actually resisting the urge to take her out of her box and play with her more. I loved posing her and taking pictures and showing them to people. And I can just think and imagine how much fun a child would have with this product. I highly recommend this toy to anyone 5 and over.

Mystery Munchie Packs by Smooshy Mushy
Ages: Unknown (Not suitable for children 3 years and under)
Price(UK): ÂŁ10
Bought from: Tesco
This is a Mystery Munchie Pack, make cute and squishy treat.
Pros:
The box and box art are delightfully cute.
I got the bear chicken leg and the cat waffles and both are very cute.
I liked the little containers for the two different slimes I got.
The bear was nicely squishy and had a decent rise to it.
It was a cool idea or literally squeezing the slime out like a real sauce from a packet.
The slime came off of the other toys fairly easily.
Any Cons/Defects?:
The key chain’s tag hole was not puncture all the way through and still had a thin layer across it and one side had had it’s top layer missing.
One of the cat waffles had some of it’s paint chipped off.
Although cute, the slime would not fit inside the maple syrup bottle and instead squeezed out the top.
It says on the box “Yummy Scented” but it actually smelled really chemically and horrible.
There’s not much playability to it. Once you’ve done the gimmick of make the images on the box; there’s nothing more you can really do with them. The bear could be used as a stress ball or a key ring and the slime might last for a while but there not much else to do with them.
The slime for me was a bit too sticky and  left a glue-like layer on several parts of my hands.
£10 isn’t the worst price for something like this but it’s pretty cheeky, nonetheless. £6-7 feels much more appropriate a price for what you’re actually getting.
Overall it’s cute for the gimmick but they don’t really do much of anything really. I don’t hate it but at the same time I don’t really recommend it as I feel the charm wares off very quickly. If I scored quality of the product, I would have given it a 7.5/10 because of the couple of defects. But sadly I don’t and it’s based on whether I would buy this for a child. And the answer is no.

Rainbow Surprise Doll by  Poopsie
Age: Unknown (Not suitable for children 3 and under)
Price(UK): £40 at a sales discount. (RRP: £50)
Bought From: Argos
This is Pixie Rose, she is a Poopsie Rainbow Surprise Doll. She stands at roughly 14 inches in height and about 4 inches in width (right to left). She comes with 20+ surprises, including a slime kit and a packet of make up powder.
Pros:
I like the different shades in her hair, going from a bright pink to a more subtle peach.
Most of the clothing is well made and looks nice.
When wearing her footwear, she is able to stand unassisted which is nice for play and displaying purposes.
The accessories are cute and nicely detailed.
The slime recipe worked and made a decent and stretchy slime.
I like that her accessories and clothing could be used to store the slime that you made.
I liked the detailing on her face, especially the eyes.
I like that the case is embossed with Poopsie characters and can be used to store the doll. And that the box is secure and can be carried like a suitcase for travel purposes.
Any Cons/Defects?:
The hair, though beautiful, is badly cut and styled. Whoever designed the hair was clearly going for a layered affect but it looks terrible.
There is a lot of waste packaging with this product, a vast majority of which was made up of individually packaged items.
Some of the packaging, I really struggled to open and can’t imagine a young child trying to get into.
The tags used to keep her head in the molded base leaves parts behind in the actual head of the doll and sticks out. I tried to cut them as best as I could and as close to the scalp of the doll as possible without cutting some of the doll’s hair and even now there are still pieces of thin, sharp plastic sticking out.
While making it, some of the slime dried and irritated my skin as well as lightly staining it.
I try to go into products completely blind as to give as much of an unbiased opinion as possible and this was my first interaction with a Poopsie product. So, I was really confused when I was given four Rainbow surprise powders to make the slime but only two packets of rainbow magic. Going by the instructions I would have expected a 4:4 ratio but for some reason there wasn’t. There was a bunch of other powders but I didn’t find anywhere in my set of instructions about what I was suppose to do with them with exception to the make up and something called “Unicorn Magic” which was not part of the selection. If you’re going to give me instructions with your product, I expect each items use to be explained at some point. These are after all, instructions made with children in mind.
The cost of this product at RRP is £50 and personally  I didn’t see anything worth £50. £30 at the most but at £50 it feels more like your paying for the brand name more than you are the actual doll and slime kit.
This should not be a blind box. I don’t like the idea of blind boxes in children’s toys or anything aimed at children but especially for £50. That is ridiculous. It should be guaranteed that whatever toy a child wants is inside and should not be a coin flip.
The jacket for my doll was not very good at all. The left cuff wasn’t hemmed in properly. It was a struggle to get the arms down the arms of the jacket and the hands through the holes. And as you can see in the picture, the front of the jacket warped and no matter what I tried, it would not lay flat.
For me it was difficult to get the shoe compartments to open. I finally managed it but through a lot of force and a real worry that I may accidentally break the toy.
Things that personally bothered me:
I felt that the doll’s shirt was a bit too short and more of a boob-tube than a proper t-shirt.
Barbie feet. I just really don’t like when dolls are molded so that they are on their tip-toes. Also it kind of feels cheating when you say that your doll is a certain height and the doll in question is on their tip-toes.
For a ÂŁ50 doll I would have liked a bit more articulation and joints in the doll.
I don’t like the roller skates. It’s a cute idea but I’d rather the doll have platform boots like the other dolls I have seen.
You have different dolls with different hair colours and styles and this doll called Pixie Rose and you don’t give her a pixie cut. Not really a nitpick just more of a missed opportunity.
My overall opinion is sadly, not good. I really wanted to like this toy but it irritated me more that delighted me. For the price and the reasons I’ve listed above I personally wouldn’t recommend this toy to anyone and especially not avid collectors who may end up spending £250+ trying to get the specific doll that they want.
I would instead advice buying a doll our toy that your child wants and can see in the packaging and, if they also want slime, buying the slime separate rather then spending money of this toy.

Glitterfluffy Slime (Blue) by Jacks
Age: 6+ (Not suitable for children 3 and under due to small parts)
Price(UK): ÂŁ2
Bought From: The Entertainer (TheToyShop.com)
It’s a moldable stretchy substance that looks like it’s made up of micro-sand particles. It was a rich blue with a coat of dark blue and silvery glitter. While initially very sticky when first out of the packet, it became less so with more play and stretching. It has a strange wet feeling despite being completely dry.
Pros:
It comes in a resealable bag and plastic sheet. This is such a nice change from the usual affairs with slimes and means when it needs to be put away it’ll keep a lot longer and won’t need to be thrown out for longer.
It feels good in the hand and is nice to squeeze and touch.
It has some resistance to it when you pull and shape it which feels satisfying.
It’s easy to clean.
For £2 it’s a decent amount-
Any Cons/Defects?:
-I would have like a bit more slime, at least another 10g.
It’s more of a putty than it is an actual slime and as a result doesn’t have as much elasticity as expected from a slime.
When you open the slime, you have your resealable bag and inside the bag is your slime wrapped in the plastic sheet but mine had leaked around the plastic sheet; making it pretty messy to begin with. Which was not ideal to deal with while it was still very sticky.
It does have an unpleasant chemical smell but not too unpleasant for me personally to make it nauseating. But it could be potentially off putting to others, especially young children.
I enjoyed this product despite it’s simplicity. I would recommend this for anyone wanting something cheap for their kids to play with that is easy to clean up afterwards. It is also good for sensory play. However, please read the back of the packet to make sure that it doesn’t contain any potential allergens that might affect you or a child before purchase.

Squishmallows by KellyToy
Age: 0+
Price (UK): ÂŁ15
Bought From: The Entertainer (TheToyShop.com)
This is Courtney the Caticorn, she’s a Squishmallow. She is a soft plush toy for ages 0+. She sits at just over 15 1/2 inches in height and roughly 14 inches in width. This cute critter is soft to the touch and very, very squishy. Perfect as use as a soft toy or a makeshift pillow.
Pros:
This toy is incredibly soft and malleable.
The stitching is well done and very uniform.
It’s one of the few rare toys that is actually accessible to all age groups.
It is good value for money. For a plush toy of that size, it could easily go for ÂŁ20-30+ pounds.
This toy is perfect for children with sensory issues or to make a child feel safe.
Any Cons/Defects?:
A slight defect that I found was a small loose thread just above the right eye that felt like hardened glue but it was easily removable without damaging the integrity of the toy.
There isn’t enough stuffing around the horn, so it moves around. It just needs more stuffing near the top of the toy and it would probably hold itself better.
Not really a complaint but just something odd. The right ear is pointed but the other ear is rounded. I’m just curious if that is by design or not.
Overall, I am very happy with the quality and price of this toy and highly recommend it to anyone.
Score: 9.5/10
