Have you ever noticed that the book Uryuu is reading in ep. 227 of Bleach is written in German?
One of the lines ‘Alle scheitert’ should mean “Everybody/everything fails”. I never studied German, so it would be really appreciated if someone would like to barge in and point out more details❤️
One called it 'lecherous' 💀 then I told him it was from me but let him talk to get an honest reaction and tried to switch it saying if its from me than its different, it would've been lecherous from a man.
Then people entering the room would read it in a mocking tone...
Now I saw something that would've been a better gift, I guess, but its late now.
I hate gift giving. No matter how much I try to get something appropriate, I can never be sure and always have to choose from whatever I find and afford.
I just gifted a glass gravure with a corny message luminated by a LED stand and Edelweiss seeds but I didn't have better ideas. The message might be too corny, it was done by an old guy with overzealousness, but I didn't like the other options and this one starts by saying that the person I gifted this to is a gift to the world. I thought its pretty neat but after seeing the reactions it might be too corny
Like, here:
"You are a gift to the world. Every moment lived in authenticity and love adds a note of beauty and harmony to the symphony of life"

Thinking of when Astarion said he wished all that put their hands on him would burst into flames and I just 💔💔💔💔💔 and then I try again to understand how long 200 years are... often more than 2 lifetimes of ours
Mortua Est! - Askin Nakk Le Vaar (Bleach) tribute and memento mori.
Named Mortua Est! after a poem by Mihai Eminescu (unfortunately its in Romanian, and a translation wouldn't do it justice)
Traditional art, A4 paper, totally made with colored pencils and stars with white marker.
I always say I will redraw stuff but this I fully intend to keep my word because this was started very long time ago, with poor quality materials and now that I bought more expensive and qualitative paper and pencils, I know it will make a difference.
Askin's birthday is tomorrow but I have no patience so I'm posting this now <3! (early) Happy Birthday to this dreamy man!
No filters + sketch underneath!
A4 paper, 100% made with colored pencils. Wish I had better quality but my printer doesn't work well with these color pencils and I had to reduce noise a lot so it became blurry.
There was a server chat about heart shaped glasses and hawaiian shirt for him and I love how widely assumed is this tropical vibe for him. There is also that 1 drawing by Kubo of him in casual clothes with hawaiian shirt so its kinda canon I guess. I love this hot noodle so much <3
*scrolling half-awake and seeing some guy art captured "Can't mansplain, manipulate, manwhore my way out of this"*: Well, I know a guy who is just....
I had a revelation so big I woke up to 101% alertness in 0.3
Mansplain, manipulate, manwhore is Askin's whole character!!! If the enemy is really persistent, here comes the manslaughter.
His whole personality and battle strategy is built around talking a lot, manipulating/tricking and being a smooth criminal. Manwhore is basically his character design
One thing you got to know about Askin is that the reason he can inflict death upon his enemy is because he tasted it himself, in different flavours.
Its not like he is detached of the pain and suffering that his victims feel, he knows how it feels on a personal level ... it's how he can give it to them at all. The only difference is that he didn't die, but aquired immunity to each flavour of death. Its very different than say, someone who can indiferently stab a sword through someone because its not their pain to feel. No, Askin must feel the sword on himself to use it at all.
He had and has to be experiencing death and pain and suffering over and over. That's how he's come to be an expert at it.
