hello workforce, i have returned. good to be back!

today is my first day. the pay is shit but jobs are so hard to get now, and my rent went up. i'd rather work for shitty pay than ever have another roommate.

the meds i found, while working really well, were far too expensive. oh was it insane how much these bottles were. (2 thousand bucks a script, almost 3 if i remember right. used my entire deductible and obviously don't have that kind of money, so going off it was my only option and i now need to pay for my adhd meds out of pocket.) i don't feel like i relapsed back into depression though, so whatever they did actually helped my brain in a long term way and i'm glad i went on them. it was my first time trying a psychedelic next to weed, but now i feel more optimistic about going back to weed. taking these meds kind of proved to me that whatever cannabis was doing for me was real, even if it wasn't as semi-permanent. (too soon to know how long i'll feel stable for really)

we have to aim for jobs that we can handle on a mental level alongside our PMDD and our DID symptoms. we currently aren't in any therapy(and are hoping our job will enable us with some kind of insurance or benefits), so we have to self-manage our switches and triggers. we had an event with an alter in january that was incredibly difficult, and we're not so sure how often we're splitting because we can't actually tell that apart from a PMDD episode. it's been really rough. on top of that, i myself as a part have my own parts separate from the rest of the system. actually noticing if/when i switch can be very difficult for me, let alone the second half of me; my cohost rosie. (rather than supervising a host, we are now simultaneously hosts but we are discernably different. it must look like a weird mood swing, and i hope that's how it translates. lol)

anyway i'm having my coffee and i'll ramble if i don't catch myself so i'm gonna get going for now but i haven't updated my blog myself in a while. things are going well and i hope my mutuals are doing good.

working on embers can be hard because the characters are always going through dark sad things. so i tried to draw them doing something together where they're not sad to cheer myself up.
