          being left hanging for what is clearly a wind up, has the urge to roll her eyes rising between one breath and the next —- only smothered by the small warmth that leo’s laugh causes in her chest. she knows that it’s all a set-up, clearly just the dragon’s way of riling her, but the truly sad thing is it WORKS. lips purse faintly, fingers tightening briefly in grip around her phone, a heavy sigh flowing from her - her own voice dropping into a smoother tone in response,   ❝ if i get home, the answer to my question better be NO, or ya’ll gonna regret it. ❞

     another deep rumble leaves the man’s chest at her response ( the sigh leaving her, a clear sign that he may have gotten to her ), and he can’t help the confident grin now on his lips.      ❛ that mean y’ on the way home then ? ❜       he’s glad that his answer had been TRUE, being in the apartment all day, lounging around like the lazy dragon he was, never having to get up and get dressed... so he DEFINITELY didn’t put pants on. he leans back on the couch, phone still pressed to his ear, as his grin never falters.       ❛ looks like we’ll have t’wait an’ see. ❜

“How long have you been out here? We were looking for you…” She comes up behind Leo and wraps her arms around his middle, chin resting on his shoulder. Winter hadn’t officially set in yet, but it was still reasonably cold outside. The last thing Leo needed was to catch a cold. Not that she could blame him for not caring at the moment. She knew he always took it hard when their patrols didn’t go as planned. 

“You should come inside, Leo. It’s supposed to rain soon…”

      The ‘fearless’ leader of Aequalis stood behind the bar, the cold air chilling his bones, calming the flames within his still frame. There’s a cigarette between his fingers, burning without being brought to chapped lips, his emerald hues watching it burn down to nothing. His heart is heavy, mind lost---- thinking of those they had lost recently ; they were just KIDS, kids who wanted to be FREE and equal, only to be shot down like ANIMALS by the ones who were supposed to protect them. Detective Drake was getting more and more determined to get rid of mutants, was becoming more open about not wanting them on the streets. He hates that he feels helpless, hates that he wasn’t there to stop it. A small part of him wishes he never started this war ( Jake would still be here, a thought that repeats itself time and time again ), but he knows people are starting to SEE the other side of things. His thoughts are broken when he hears a voice, Cassandra’s voice, and her arms are around him ; and he’s BREAKING, the stone crumbling down as his body shakes ; tiny drops of rain beginning to fall.  ❛ We lost them------ and it’s my fault, ❜ he whispers, holding back the sob threatening to come out. He doesn’t want to cry, not when he was supposed to be the strong one.

      i really needed a break from tumblr to get my life together, and i’m apologizing for leaving once more unannounced. but i am back and should be staying. i’m not going into detail about what happened, but i really just need to take time for myself. thank you for those who were patient with me <3 i will attempt drafts, but chances are, i’ll be dropping a lot of threads ( mostly unplotted ones, ones that i don’t see going anywhere ), and i will notify those who are apart of said threads.

    for the past few days, i’ve been debating on making this, ( because i would love more plotted out threads and verses, and not just little random plots ) and finally decided to just do it and see where it goes from here. this is a PERMANENT PLOTTING CALL ( mutuals only ) ; meaning you are interested in plotting in-depth threads/ships with leo and your muse, whether it be romantic or platonic relationships, etc. this is letting me know that you are interested in having plots with leo, and are interested in your muse and leo developing a relationship. though, this doesn’t mean you have to stick with this forever, you are free to unlike/unfollow if you feel as though we aren’t clicking. so, if you are interested, please like this.
