It kinda started as "Bi mun wants Hot Buff Lady to show off her biceps" but then it quickly turned into "it's a trauma thing".

Her memory forge weapon's "incognito form" is a set of upper-arm arm cuffs, and when she was captured, she couldn't access them easily and quickly because she was wearing a dress jacket. So she swore to never put herself in a situation like that again.

It really depends on a lot of factors- Wyn's paranoid, Rhys is shy, and Tal's usually busy, so they rarely go home with people.

Oisin goes home with people all the time, as does Quin.

Eamon does, for similar reasons to the flight.

I think Ambrosia actually doesn't, at least not permanently- she heals incredibly quickly, so she'd have to re-pierce them regularly and doesn't like the pain, so her earrings are all some form of clip-ons (or temporary piercings that heal by the next day).

Saiorse probably has earrings, though I'm not sure if she willingly got them or not.

Who in the flight has their ears pierced?

Basically all of them I think. I read somewhere that a lot of sailors would pierce at least one ear and keep a gold or silver earring so that if they washed ashore and couldn't be identified, their funeral could still be paid for. I kinda ran with that idea, since the flight also travels a lot- or did, when they were soldiers, anyway. So yeah, they all have at least one piercing/set of piercings. Several have more than one.

Commentary on Damon's relationship with Declan

Damon feels bad for abandoning his brother. Like, really bad. He's definitely gone looking for him before, but eventually he probably assumed Declan was dead. Seeing Declan again was like seeing a ghost for him. He's very awkward for a very long time, but I promise he cares!

Did any of the whalers ever have a crush on Kendra or Lucas?

Probably. Definitely. Kendra and Lucas are both very pretty, and the vast majority of the whalers are young adults and teenagers, so there were several crushes. Thomas, specifically, had a crush on Lucas.

Oof It's a rough meeting. If she's with Cenric, or if she mentions him, he might turn an outright cold shoulder. If they get close enough for him to get to know her a little, I think he'd really like her- and then we also get the second angst hit of "she looks (a bit) like her mom, who I also know and wait she said her mom is dead whyyyy"
