Look what just arrived in the mail! I got my copies of Jeff Smith’s Thorn! I’m so excited to read it! I even got extra copies (past the ones shown here) to share with special fellow Bone lovers in my life. If you haven’t read Bone, it was the comic that made me want to make my own, so do yourself a favor and read it (and pickup a copy of Thorn while you’re at it). Thorn is a collection of the comics Jeff Smith made before officially turning the story into the Bone comic I grew up with, but primarily while he was in college for a school paper called The Lantern. So excited!

Saturday at WonderCon is here, and despite the morning rain, I’m hoping for a fantastic day. If you’re in the Anaheim area and on the fence about coming, join me at table SP-62 in Hall A of the Anaheim Convention Center where it’s nice and dry, filled with awesome indie comic creators (like myself), and you can even pet one of my handmade dragons.

Selling some original sketches today! I drew Byron in a sketchbook, sold my sketch of Smiley Bone and Bartelby, and drew a new sketch of Momo from Avatar the Last Airbender. Yesterday, a family bought my Reluctant Dragon sketch, but forgot to grab a picture…. Oh well. Having a great day at WonderCon!

I was updating my con schedule on the Dragon Child website and decided to change the banner image and details on the front welcome page.
