So. I'm making a decision.

I'm abandoning this account and all of the side blogs attached to it.

TL;DR: I'm making a new account to get a fresh start, and I will not link my new account on here. Thank you.

I will not be updating Embrace the Sibling anymore. While it was a lot of fun, I just don't have time to have a comic to that scale anymore. Plus it was starting to feel really generic and it felt like everyone was doing a post-Embrace the Void ending story. Mine didn't really stand out amongst the others if I have to be blunt. Honestly I like my Dreamer Hornet fic that I never finished more. Shoulda gone with that one as a comic tbh

On top of that my hyper fixation has changed from Hollow Knight to Splatoon 3. The funny cephalopods have captured my heart and I love them sm. They're what make me happy right now and it's got me drawing humans again. And I won't allow anyone to take that from me.

I will be making a brand new Tumblr account, but I won't be linking it here. I won't be impossible to find! It'll be pretty obvious once the new account goes up. Plus you'll be able to find it through my Youtube tbh. But I don't have it in me to post a link here. I just can't. That would negate the reason I'm abandoning this account in my eyes.

I'm choosing to not delete this account so all the old posts remain preserved. I don't have it in me to delete all my fan comics and I refuse to give them the Arcane Gourmet treatment (where I practically made it impossible to access). But this will be the final post on this blog.

Thank you everyone for my tumblr experience. From the good times and the bad times, I have grown as a person.

[Image description: My take on the potential My Singing Monsters Cold Island Mythical. It's a slender blue lizard with trumpet buttons sticking out of its back, along with 6 simple metal bumps. It has three eyes, two fin-like frills, six legs, and its mouth is a metallic inside with no tongue. The legs have metal rings around its ankles and 3 rings around the end of its tail. For markings it has a dark underbelly, "socks", a tipped tail, muzzle, and inner frills. There's also various dark blue spots all over it. There is a tinier purple trumpet lizard that's identical to the large one; minus the rings. The big one has its tail wrapped around it. The big lizard is making smooth trumpet sounds with its mouth.

On the left of the drawing is two simple sketches. On the top, the big lizard has an arm wrapped around the smaller lizard, who is cheerfully making a horrifying blaring noise. So uh- I couldn't help but play with what the community has given BBB for the new mythical coming out in My Singing Monsters. Mostly because people were complaining that everyone was voting for the most complicated choices. So I decided to make something for it hehe

[Image Descriptions: A sheet of copper plate that is being used for a mezzotint. It has been heavily rocked on, creating lots of little etchings that makes the copper almost look like a velvet fabric. There are several burnished marks on the plate creating large thick puddle shapes similar to oil spills. The negative space between the puddles creates a tree branch pattern.

Image One has the copper plate uncovered, showing sharp highlights on the puddles. Image Two has a thin plastic film on top of it, making it easier to see where the actual highlights have been burnished into the plate. /End descriptions.]

Currently doing a mezzotint workshop! Probably not the greatest of ideas, considering I have only done printmaking a grand total of once beforehand. But while this medium is notoriously tricky, I've been having fun learning it!

This is probably the only mezzotint I'll ever make in my life lol. I am absolutely not printmaker material

Syntax!! I redesigned them again for the 3rd time, and I'm really happy with how they came out ^^. I mostly just tweaked their previous design a little bit to be more interesting and not just protogen design #57.

A more detailed description of their reference sheet is below the cut!

A reference sheet of a rabbit-like protogen named Syntax; they look like a cyborg-like furry. Their base color is a dark blue with lighter blue accents, mostly being a light blue underbelly and various random spots. They have white robotic parts, being a chest plate, shoulder pads, a pelvis plate, metal thighs, and a black visor with a white band. On the edge of their visor is a are two circles with a double triangle plate coming off of it. Their face screen has two button eyes, a simple nose, and a mouth shaped like a number three; this resembles a vintage stuffed animal. There are similar screens on their shoulder pads and thighs that have two diamond shapes displayed on them. While their arms and lower legs have their organic color scheme, they have joints similar to a ball jointed doll. Each limb segment ends in a light blue stripe, with their hands being exceptions. Their claw-like fingers are completely light blue instead and their palms are dark blue. They have four long rabbit ears.

The layout of the reference sheet is the following. On the far left side is a full body with thick weighted line art slightly facing towards the left. It's in its own box that's slightly lighter than the background. Next to the box is a smaller full body, this time showing off their back with their tail taken off. A drawing of their disconnected tail is next to them, which is a little dark blue poof ball with a light blue underbelly. There are semi-detailed robotics where the tail is supposed to attach to the body. Above the smaller full body is a drawing of their mouth open, which reveals nothing inside of their visor. Next to that is a cut showing their blood color, which is red. On the right side of the image is two different facial expressions. On the top is their default expression having a vintage plush look. Below that is their visor being completely washed out with a blue screen of death.

On the very top of the image is their name, Syntax. Next to that it says "Protogen | They/them | 5'5 tall." Below that is their color palettes, separated by organic colors and artificial colors. In the bottom right corner is a list of quick information about them. This reads:

I was cleaning up my Art Fight profile because I remembered that's in about a month, and I remembered my funky lil protogen OC. I need to clean up their ref and give them a better one, but I started doodling facial expressions instead lsdfjasldfj

WIP Wednesday! Against my best judgement I'm participating in @ukagakadreamteam's Ghost Jam event. Thankfully I only have to make the shells for this (and probably some shell coding), so I think things are going pretty well?
