nikolai prefers handwriting! i don’t think either of them would have a lot of experience with typing given the time period but even in a modern au he’d prefer to handwrite.

katya has really neat handwriting so she doesn’t mind it, but i can see her preferring typing in a modern au! i feel like she’d be one of those people that types impressively fast on mobile ww

nikolai... he prefers receiving verbal affection but giving physical affection, except he gets super embarrassed with both, and has a hard time both receiving and giving back.

katya, on the other hand, prefers giving verbal affection and receiving physical affection! she’s comfortable giving and receiving both and is happy to adjust to the other person.

but if they did interact i think it’d be mostly by virtue of both of them being friends with nikolai! i don’t want to give away too much there bc it’s kind of spoilers, but nikolai sees anne as a younger sister sort of figure, and he’d probably be a bit worried about arslan because he can be... a bit much, but i can see arslan also coming to think of anne as a younger sister figure!
