interesting how it's always "iranian regime" and never "israeli regime" and definetly never "iran, where the us and uk overthrew a democratically elected leader because the iranian parliment voted to nationalise iranian oil to stop foreign countries profiting off of their resources, with the western powers' actions ultimatly leading to the islamic republic of iran that they so fear"

I think it would be very cyberpunk if English speakers adopted the words lakh and crore from India, because we need more names for large numbers. You can't just start using other people's words like that though, white baby.

so you dated the wrong person and learned a hard lesson. you chose the wrong major and had to start over again. you cherished a friend who backstabbed you. it sucks, but it’s also going to work out. that’s life; you learn, hurt, love, cry, laugh, and keep going. you experience setbacks and you grow and it’s all okay.

Do not forget about Palestinians on this Eid, do not forget about Gaza, do not forget about the lives taken and homes destroyed, do not forget about the joy and life so cruelly snatched from them.
Eid means to us what Christmas means to most of you. And they're spending it digging through rubble and locating bodies to burry.
They have no chocolates, no new clothes to wear, no homes to decorate, they lost loved ones which would gather together, no Eidi to give to children to make them happy, no mehndi, no jewelery, no new toys.
Do not forget about Palestine.
Keep boycotting for them, keep protesting for them, keep donating to the families through the link tree, keep buying e-sims for them, keep sharing the truth, keep exposing Israel for their consistent humanitarian crimes.
Remember the Palestinians, especially today, on Eid, an occasion of joy.
May Allah make it joyous for them after everything they had suffered, may they be free from the Zionist occupation and genocide
Eid Mubarak, to everyone, and to the Palestinians

one thing i never get tired of in songs is when they include some sounds from the recording booth like a laugh at the end, a ‘was that good?’ or like, the sounds of the guitar being put down, a chair creaking. it’s nice how music can be used as an escape but also something that ties you right back down to earth. it will affect you so deeply & then ur like wow… you just played that. it’s grounding & magical & just one of my fave things ever!

by far the best part of grocery shopping is the little babies. i was carefully selecting mushrooms when i felt upon me a piercing gaze and looked up to see a very chubby and very red-cheeked baby staring intently at me from a grocery cart with a slightly furrowed brow, hand clutching an apple for dear life. i wiggled a mushroom at her and she gasped and kept staring. i turned back to the mushrooms and heard a shriek. i turned around and the baby stared in anticipation. i wiggled another mushroom and she shrieked again in delight. she looked down at the apple in her hand, considering it for a moment. fair-minded as she was, she decided it would only be right to wiggle produce at me in return, and she held up the apple and shook it with all her might. i think i could live forever now

"cycle of violence" used in the context of colonization, resistance and national liberation is such an insulting, reductive, belittling phrase it tells me everything i need to know about whatever cunt is using it. people would never argue that violence in self-defense is morally reprehensible, so they obfuscate the very obvious origins of violence and the distinction between colonial violence and violent resistance, sometimes even barely acknowledging the former as violence at all.
what part of this is a cycle. because i can very easily point to the starting point and tell you what the palestinian resistance have stated is their end point.
you love rationalizing how much palestinian and arab blood being spilt every day doesn't bother you by arguing that "this is war, this is how things are, this is the cycle" and your solution to this nonexistent cycle necessitates the continuation of colonial violence just in ways that aren't so explicit and loud they end up disrupting your peace of mind. fuck off

Palestinians holding Eid prayers on top of the rubble of mosques destroyed by Israel should tell you all you need to know about resilience. The insistence on observing rituals, the insistence on finding peace and joy - you can never take that away.

Looks like Zionists still think they can say whatever the heck they want and get away with it.
How do you say this with a straight face when Gaza has been under Israeli siege since 2007? Movement of people has been restricted to the point where patients would die as they await Israeli permission to leave Gaza for treatment. Imports have been controlled by Israel that at some point even potato chips wasn't allowed into the strip and for years, Israel has been controlling the amount of calories allowed for the population to consume. And not to mention Israel's putting the entire population of Gaza under constant surveillance to the point of causing severe psychological harm.
That's just scratching the surface. If that's not Israeli control, I don't know what is.
