The Blocking Lustful Teacher
I was a junior in high school that required uniforms. I was always a proper student. Got all the good grades and gave all my teachers the least amount of trouble. Well... except for one teacher in particular...
Tumblr media
Mr. Henry was unlike all the other teachers. He seemed to really care about our mental well being. Everything he lectured to us, that wasn't part of the curriculum, was another sound piece of advice that would dart us forward in life. His personality was very straight as an arrow but the way he carried himself did not reflect that. He would slouch as if he wasn't confident, his voice was soft and pleasant to listen to. Yes, he was a 28 year old man but his ocean blue eyes were that of a young boy. Dough-ey like, with a sad arrangement on his face. Same with his cheeks. He was definitely pegged as "adorable" by all the girls In class. He would part his hair on the side and wear glasses fit for an old man.
He was my favorite teacher. I had him as a teacher too when I was a freshman but he had just started out as a teacher so he didn't have his teaching style solidified yet. I didn't really appreciate him until now. As I sat in the English class he taught, I fixated on his sad eyes, realizing that he never really broke into a wide smile. The guys would try to joke with him but he never really responded happily. He's actually sad, I thought.
I expressed my concern for Mr. Henry to my friend Carla, later that day, who was in that same class. She giggled and said "why are you so worried about him? I'm sure he's fine. He just doesn't have girlfriend though. Maybe that's why he always seems down?"
That thought echoed in my mind that night. Mr. Henry, he who cares for everyone around him, has no one to do the same for him. But how? He's not a bad looking guy. He has an appealing, adorable and quaint countenance. The only unappealing aspects was the slight slouch and his small frame. Don't get me wrong, there is an indication of muscle mass in his shoulders and arms under the long sleeves and sweaters he would wear, but he comes up short in the height category. He is only 5'4". I'm not an expert in psychology but maybe this attributed to his lack of posture confidence?
Enough about his appearance. I'm not perfect myself. My best attributes were my long black hair and my pretty face. People always tell me I have the best fashion sense too but my body is flat as a board. This is why I put so much focus on what I wear. To distract people from how plain I actually look.
But really, who has time to focus on appearance when I was more worried about my grades. No way was I going to let my very strict parents have a reason to keep me captive from the outside world. As long as I kept up with my grades, I was allowed to live a normal teenage live. That was the deal.
The next day in class, I fixated on his reactions again. "Cmon give me a real smile", I thought, as he received a transparent bag of home-made cookies one of the girls handed him when she walked in after me. He expressed his appreciation with his kind words, but the closest thing to a smile I observed was a slight curl of one side of his lips revealing a small hint of a dimple. Suddenly I blushed. I had never noticed his dimple before. "It's so cute!" I thought as I felt my temperature rising and heart speeding up.
Tumblr media
"Hey, are you ok?" Said Carla as she tapped on my shoulder from the seat behind me. "Yes I'm ok.whyd you ask?" I immediately responded. "You're just a little more fidgety and restless today is all." She answered as she smacked her gum "I wish I had known it was his birthday today..." she added.
"Yes, me too". I replied as I still faced forward afraid that Carla would realize I was blushing for no good reason.
That class seemed extremely long that day. I hate that I noticed so much I hadn't noticed before. He would call on me every 3 times to answer. Does he like my answers that much?! Or did all my hard work pay off that I'm such an exemplary student? I wish he'd stop.
The bell rang to save me from the torture and most of the students poured out right after except for Carla and I and a few stragglers giving Mr. Henry more birthday wishes and gifts. .
Carla was only still there because she waits for me as I would for her but I'm only still there because I'm frantically trying to shove all my notes into my binder before I can catch another glimpse of Mr. Henry's faux smile.
The voices of the other students start to fade as I push the last stack in. To my dismay, all the papers fell out to the floor in front of me and flowed like a river to Mr. Henry's desk. He shot up from his chair to kneel in front of his desk and started picking up the papers too as Carla had started to do so as well. All three of us on the floor now creating our own stacks. Carla finished her stack first and knew to place it on top of mine. However, Mr. Henry thought it would be a better idea to hand them to me.
All those korean drama shows I watch. They would make me laugh. The thought of the simplest touch being so significant, slowed down and heart pumping seemed so unrealistic. If a Korean woman scratches her knee, the touch of the man's hands on her cut, as he is tending to it, will make her feel deep attraction towards the man. America is so different in that aspect. If you save me from a bike rider that could've ran me over, I won't fall in love with you instantly. That's the magic of K dramas. Every little touch is so impactful, innocent and meaningful.
So Mr. Henry handing me my papers and giving me a full 2 seconds of hand to hand contact made my whole body implode with emotion. My fight or flight response screamed "run!". My mind went blank and took the passenger seat to my body going in auto pilot for the next things I blurted out.
"Thank you Mr. Henry! You're the best!" I said as I combined the piles carelessly into my backpack. "I hope you have a wonderful rest of your birthday!" I continued as I swung my backpack over my shoulder like it was full of lumber. I started to walk away, and right when I was passing him my continued blurt finished with "you should let me take you out to dinner for your birthday!"
And with that, even Carla was embarrassed for me. She pushed me all the way out the door. The only word Mr. Henry managed to say before we walked out was "..bye!" But what he accompanied this bye with made my heart sink into my stomach. He smiled. Full dimpled smile. Both ends curled up. Not a teeth revealing smile but enough to see the tip of one of his front teeth.
Carla pushed me as far as she could until Mr. Henry wouldn't be at earshot distance. No words were exchanged yet. I was too filled the the brim with embarrassment to say anything. Carla stopped pushing me and stopped me from walking any further on my own by blocking my path as other students swarmed their way around us to get to class. She placed her hands on her hips and let out a hard sigh. "OK what is your issue today?" She said, with her hands still firmly on her hips.
Before I could even answer, our friend Armando cut in between us with "Hey! Guys what are you doing after school today?" His hands rubbing together as he always has a habit of doing when he has something to announce or a great idea. Our friend Armando is 5'3". Exactly my height. He also runs short in the height department. Carla towers over him at a height of 5'6". His best attribute is easily his thick wavy hair and his perfect eyebrows. Fashion sense isn't his top priority as he always wears the same Jean jacket his father patched up like he was a member of a motorcycle gang. The Jean jacket didn't fool anybody either. He was as soft to the core as a melted marshmallow. Carla and I would just bat our eyelashes at him and bring up our voices an octave higher for him to let us copy off his homework for our pre cal class. He was as sweet as they come. Oh but as soon as the guys would surround him, he'd flip his personality to asshole mode. Oddly enough, he as pretty good at pulling off that card too. I always had a feeling his true self was somewhere in the middle of the sweet Armando and the douchebag Armando.
I was now focused on his hands rubbing and how much I hated it when he did that because it reminded me of Mr. Burns from The Simpsons, he stopped when he realized he had interrupted a moment. "Oh, what's going on?" He said.
"Nothing" I quickly answered. He was too enthusiastic to care to notice my lie and continued with his news "Dairy Fix is having a buy one get one free special on my favorite oreo ice-cream!" A large smile formed on his face as he said "its only for today! We HAaVE to go" he explained.
"OK, sure" I said following with a sigh.
"You don't sound so happy May" he said squeezing his perfectly formed eyebrows together in confusion.
Carla placed her palm on his back and gave him a small push to keep us walking to precal while saying "trust me, she is. She just can't express herself adequately right now".
I have to say. Especially because I haven't said anything about Carla that wasn't through her actions yet...that she is one of the most admirable people I know. She's skinny and tall, but with a beautiful figure and long naturally curly hair. Her hair isn't black like mine. It shines a beautiful brown when the sun hits it just right. She tends to get pimples on her face a lot so she's self conscious about her looks, but she is a brute when it comes to taking life by the balls. Not sure if it's a mask she's putting on for the show we call life, but it's definitely admirable.
A few hours later the final bell for the school day rang. We all met up at our usual place. The tree by the gym entrance. I had already asked my parents for permission. They said yes of course. I had not given them a reason not to trust me. Or at least nothing they had found out about.
We were all set and loaded up in Armando's rickety 1996 Dodge intrepid riddled with evidence of his half baked paint jobs and fixes.
As we were walking out of the ice-cream place with our bellies happy and full of ice-cream, Armando pointed out Mr. Henry, in the same clothing he wore to school that day, leaning on the wall of the bar across the street. "He was all by himself, on HiS damn birthday! At a bar! " I thought. I hit my head three times with my closed fist and squinted my eyes. "Why did he make his way into my mind again?! I had just gotten over it by gorging on icecream"
"Oh no, May, are you experiencing a delayed brain freeze?" Carla said, giggling as she grabbed my arm so I wouldn't hit my head again. "See!" Armando chimed in. "I told you to slow down when you got to the strawberry icecream!"
"Guys, wait here. I don't think Mr. Henry is ok"
Without giving them a chance to respond I started walking across the street. Not looking back to see if they had followed I fixated my gaze on him - realizing he was drunk the closer I got to him.
"May, maybe this isn't the best idea?" I thought, right before going into auto pilot again.
"Mr Henry" I called, as I was standing only 3 feet away from him now. "Are you ok?" I added. He slowly looked up with that same sad expression on his face.
"May, is that you?. What are you doing here? On a school night of all days?" He countered. He was now trying to use all his energy to not wobble as he was a few seconds ago.
"Nevermind that. Do you need some help? A ride home?" I said, now lifting my arm up to be ready to catch him in case he fell forward.
He laughed, now looking down again. Thank God! I couldn't take another flash of his dimple right now. Especially on a full stomach.
"Don't worry about me miss Harrison" he answered, putting both hands up as if signaling for me to stop where I was.
He then slowly picked up his head, with his mouth parted enough to fit an entire egg in it and looked up at the sky that had now turned a beautiful sunset purple, revealing his very pronounciated adam's apple. That was it. That damn apple. That was enough to send a sharp sensation through the tip of my toes all the way up to my neck. Pleasure I've never felt from just looking at a guy's Adam's apple.
"I have a buddy that's picking me up. I hate that you saw me like this" he said, still looking up. "Please go home. Go do your homework"
"May!" I heard Armando calling from a distance. Him and Carla stayed at the other side of the street. Wow my friends are obedient...
Mr. Henry then laughed even harder, now bringing his face down to look at me directly again. "Who am I kidding, I don't HAvE buddies"
I turned to look and saw Armando and Carla were now walking across the street now. Whilst I was turned away, Mr. Henry decided to conveniently barf into the rain drainage that was also conveniently placed in front of the bar. He was now laying belly down on the ground as he found relief in the opening.
This alone should have deterred me.
"Hey Armando, can we please take him home?" I asked before they could reach the sidewalk. "Can't we call him an Uber? " Armando responded with his face covered in disgust. "I don't want him barfing in my car"
Mr. Henry waved his hand very fancily for a man still head down into a rain drainage opening and managed to say "it's OK buddy. I'll be ok. I always find a way home"
Armando then turned to us and said "See!" Waving his arms, "he's gonna be ok!"
The sound of familiar, yet irritating voices crept closer and closer from accross the street. I broke my gaze from watching Mr. Henry to look up at the same group of guys that would like to tease Mr. Henry during class. Carla noticed them too, then frowned at Armando and said "don't be a douche". "We can't let anybody else see him like this."
"Besides. Mr. Henry don't you live on Olive Street? Right next to Mrs. Chamberlain?" Carla asked.
"Yes, how do you know?" Said Mr. Henry, wipping some residual stomach content from his bottom Lip off, looking up at her.
"Oh haha" Carla giggled, "my sister and I sold you some girl scout cookies last year."
"UGH!" he responded, then letting out what looked like the last bit of his stomach contents on the side of the street.
Armando had now positioned himself in the line of vomit fire in order to block the view from the guys across the street.
"OK let's go. You're done" Armando said as he picked up Mr. Henry by the arm while Carla grabbed the other.
"May, grab the car keys from my front jacket pocket please" Armando asked as they all three stood before me now. "Thank you" I sad with a slight smile as I took the keys into my hand.
A 15 minute car ride later, we made our way into Mr. Henry's home, placing him on his sofa with a bucket filled with water by his side. Carla went to look for a blanket for Mr. Henry, leaving Armando and sitting on the other sofa as we watched Mr. Henry fast asleep.
"Hey May..." Armando said to me in a much calmer tone now. "I Need to tell you something." He continued, as he turned his whole body in my direction now. "I've been wanting to tell you, but I haven't mustered up the courage or found the right moment"
I took a large gulp of my own saliva trying yo shake off the feeling of what I was expecting him to say next. "After today, I don't think the there will EVER be a right moment". He inched closer to me and before he could place his hand on mine l, I instinctively pulled away and retreated to the corner of the sofa.
He became visibly distressed at that sight and got up quickly, then took a few steps towards the dining table. "I haven't. I haven't even said it." "Why did you.." He turned away from me, faced the wall and placed his right hand to his face, dragging it down his face as a part of his distress.
It was in this moment when Mr. Henry thought it would be perfect to crawl on top of me quietly, kissed me gently and whisper into my ear "I should've done this when you were 14."
How creepy is that to say to a 16 year old! Poor Armando turned around early enough to see the kiss and I hope from his angle I looked as frozen as I thought I reacted.
My body was going into overload though. It was burning up with a fever of pleasure from the moment he crawled on top.
Carla was not fortunate enough to see the entire exchange but I managed to see her reaction as she walked back into the living room only to find the teacher resting his body on top of mine.
As far as my friends know, that was the end of that. They didnt even tease about it or bring it up. Armando too was embarrassed himself too. However, Evan, formerly referred to as Mr. Henry, got a taste of my lips and couldn't stop himself from keeping me after class for extra curricular work. He picked on me less as to not draw unwanted attention and no one seemed to take notice. Carla did ask me if I was OK the day after the incident. She saw it as sexual harassment and was just checking on my mental health. I laughed and told her "it's OK. He wasn't himself. The best part is he was so drunk he blacked out after the ride home." I said this lying through my teeth. He remembered. He actually was attracted to me, however, I'm actually not sure if I like him beyond the persona I built in my head, based off his teaching. What drove me to want to continue getting tangled with him was the need to see his true smile. That beautiful indentation in his cheek.
All the guys teasing and interactions with Evan continued as normal. All except for my subtle flirting. It was the only thing that brought a real smile to his face. It was also the part of my day I always looked forward to.
Now, what was Armando trying to ask me? Oh yes. I told Carla about the interaction and she gave me her signature giggle. "He was trying to ask you out to homecoming silly" she explained. "Armando has never been good with timing though...Remember? We were all saying this would be the first time we would go to homecoming."
Homecoming was the last thing on my mind right now. Right after my school work and Evan Henry. "Oh" was all I could answer. A few seconds of silence passed and Carla finally cut the silence with "well! I'm going. But with Davon"
"Oh great!" I thought. An opportunity to switch the conversation's focus to her.
"Ooooh!" I squealed while poking her repeatedly with both index fingers on her shoulder. "I didn't even know Davon was the dancing type" I laughed. "He's so lanky and unbalanced!"
"Well! He happens to be a pretty good dancer" she answered quickly, coming to his defense. "Anyway... I'll dance a few songs with you but I won't sulk with you on the sideline so you better find yourself a date if it's not Armando" she added.Sat?
As it turned out, I found out the next morning, Armando wasn't planning on going anymore. I was on my own. I quickly latched on the the group of single girls that couldn't get a date for homecoming and made plans to arrive with them.
My only plan was to dance like no one was watching. Oh but he was watching. Mr. Henry stood idly by as one of the many assigned teacher chaperones. He wore a pastel purple long sleeve shirt with a vest to enhance how adorable he looked and with a bow tie to top it all off. Regardless of how adorable he looked, I couldn't help to notice how deadly his stare was when he saw me dancing with some of the same guys that would tease him during class. His body language screamed off standish as he had his legs spread a whole two feet apart and his hands joined at his midsection. Just like your common security guard.
I tried my best to ignore his stare but it felt like he was the Mona Lisa painting that follows you only with her eyes as you move from one side of the room to the other. This went on for the entire duration of the dance. I'm not even sure if I saw him take a bathroom break.
I managed to convince my parents to let me stay over at Carla's for the night but we were already planning to head over to the after party right after. Still running high on energy, the teachers started kicking us out by turning down the music and turning the lights on. "OK let's go guys!" Screamed one of the girls as she grabbed the nearest girl by the arm causing all the other girls to follow, forming a human chain.
As we were walking outside, in the parking lot, I had a gut feeling Evan was still watching me somehow, so I decided to turn back for a split second. Sure enough, there he stood behind the door we had just walked out of, in the same stance.
"That's the last ill see of him tonight" I thought. I thought wrong.
Not even 2 hours into the after party, I start hearing loud cheering coming from the backyard where the pool and bar were. Some people gave into the hype and ran towards the cheering outside. I was one of them.
I couldn't see what was happening when I reached the crowd that had formed around the bar but someone was making drinks with fire so you could hear the occasional oooh and ahh. I spotted Carla in my peripheral view, up on top of a raised flower bed that offered her the perfect view apparently. "Oh my God May! You have to see this" she said, waving for me to join her up on the raised stone wall. A guy, who I did not even know helped me up to where Carla stood.
The cheering continued, but when they finished cheering I could make out what was happening. Mr. Fucking Evan Henry. Making fire drinks for minors. Most of them his students. I heard a guy's voice scream "yo! Who is this guy?" And a girl answered him "that's Mr. Henry!! My English teacher! Wooohh!" This started an immediate chant "Mr. Henry! Mr. Henry!" During this chant is when Evan finally noticed I was staring at HIM this time. I also had my feet 2 feet apart but with my hands to my hips and my lips curled In disappointment.
"May! Carla! Come help me!" He called over as he waved us to him. Carla was more than ready to answer his call but I stopped her by putting my arm in her way and answered. "No!" Then telling Carla I was going home.
I made it all the way to the front yard by myself. No one following behind me. Just my thoughts revolving in my head. "He didn't look drunk". "Is that the real him?" "I don't like this side of him - especially If that's how he is sober." "I can't leave now. People will know I was upset by that exhange. However, people were recording it on their phones and posting it online. I don't want to be anywhere near that. He's going to lose his job though. I need to stop him before it gets worse than that. Ugh! I have to go back and make sure he doesn't actually get drunk and do something that he regrets even more."
I was alone with my thoughts long enough for the cheering and drink making to stop. When I walked back outside Mr. Henry was gone. I sighed in relief, but stopped Carla in her tracks to ask her "Hey did Mr. Henry leave?" Davon stood by her side and didn't let her answer, saying "oh! Mr. Henry is in the guest bedroom" then kackling with his hand to his mouth.
That's not good. Not good at all. I fast walked as fast as I could in heels to where the bedrooms were and asked around for the guest bedroom. A girl with her make up smeared, fully wet from being thrown into the pool, smiled at me putting her hand to a door next to her and said "it's here but I don't think you want to go in there".
"Yes I do" I quickly responded, tearing her hand off the door and barging in. Barging in only to see Mr. Henry having full on intercourse with a skinny, clearly underage girl. I stood at the door long enough for him to make two swift movements, look up at me and flash me that damn dimple again with a smile.

The Devil’s Violin
They didn’t tell us much. They just stuck my family in a dark castle, locked us up for the night and said we would get our money if we stayed the night and saw the sun rise. Nothing else was said. No one had warned us beforehand. No one had survived...
We were determined though. All we had ever known was how to be poor, how to survive with the least amount of food, how to keep warm in the cold, and to simply just survive. “A Live is meant to be lived”, I thought as we followed our shriveled guide into this enourmously uninhabited castle.
Even our guide, Monty, did not carry any significance of wealth or even good fortune. The only thing that he should have been grateful to have was his 70 years of suffering life. We were also grateful for his life; because without him, we wouldn’t be stepping into possibly the best decision we could have ever made. This is it. This is the turning point that was finally going to cut us loose from our chains.
We didn’t get too far, because Monty immediately told us to take a seat on the dust-covered chairs that greeted us at the entrance. It was pitch black though. Not one of us wanted to take a step further in without a light source anyway. I figured that’s why Monty decided to give us that instruction, only to leave us there awaiting his next command as we watched him limp on beside his walking stick into the unexplored shadows.
Twenty minutes passed and Monty had not returned. My brother and sister, who are both younger than me by at least 7 years, were the first to start seeping into their anxieties. “What’s going on?”, brother said. “Stay Quiet! I’m trying to here if he’s still there...” my sister replied. As I watched my father and mother trying to settle them down I couldn’t help but to think “Is it too late to turn back? Did we make a mistake following an old man into that dark alley, letting his promises fill our head and hearts with hope and dreams?” He showed us that piece of gold though. The shiniest and most beautiful object I’ve ever had the honor of seeing. It had to be true! This could not be a rouse. No... how? And why would it be?
Another 20 minutes passed and still nothing. We all fell silent now. Somehow my parents managed to decompresss the stress that was building in the room with my siblings’ anxiety. All that kept me from going insane was the faint sound of a water droplet falling on to the stone floor - not too far from where we sat. “This must be it. We just stay here until sunrise, and we’ll be ok.” No, that wasn’t it. Only a split second after that thought fired through my head, faint lights appeared. Illuminated from small candles. These candles lined the stone walls of several hallways that lead to different rooms and even more hallways.
Nothing else, but the candles and the walls were visible. Accompanied by the warm-lit faces of my family that stood there in wonder. “What will happen next?”. And the voice chimed in. A dark, deep and bellowing voice echoed through the hallways saying “Do not make the sound that angers him most”. This was not Monty’s voice. Monty’s voice was frail and shaky. This was something else. Such a simple request huh?
We wandered the hallways together, as a family shortly after the warning. Truly, we did not understand the warning. Until it was too late. The entire castle seemed to be completely empty and only lined with candles that were soon to die. My brother was the smartest of us all, he kept track of our location by pulling a small string a long from one of the toys he decided to bring. The string metaphorically and literally keeping us together and sound of mind.
Then we saw it. There it was. Shining in a vibrant umber light - almost as if it was embraced in a gentle fire. The violin. We stood there for a couple of seconds in silence, just staring at its beauty. It was almost entrancing. “Play it sister” my sister finally broke the silence. A force then pushed me towards it and my body was drawn to it. “How can this be?” I thought, as I tried to pull away and couldn’t. I stood only an inch from it now. My family just watched and did I nothing as I brought up my hand to caresss the violin with my hand, and brushed my fingers across the metal strings.
“It’s ok, I’m not ‘playing it’.” My heart rate then slowed down and I fell in love with this inanimate object. Without realizing it, my brother stood beside me, holding the bow t play the violin. My eyes widened, but nothing else on my body could react appropriately. “No, please don’t touch the horse’s tail hairs on the violin bow to the violin strings”.
“Here” he said pretending to hand it to me, then suddenly and mischievously drawing it quickly across the violin’s strings. The sound, that would normally be hideously loud and shrieking was loud, yes, but beautiful and tremor in throughout the castle. We were amazed. Nothing happened after the sound stopped traveling throughout the castle, so my sister then quickly took the bow from my brother’s hand and drew the bow across the violin strings even more forcefully, causing a sound that lasted twice the amount of time the last one did.
Silence fell on us again and not even the flickering of the candles could make a sound or the faint sound of the water droplets falling on the stone floor. We all stood there looking at each other. Wondering why we decided to even get near the violin. Before my mom could utter the next word that would finally break the silence again, another dreadful sound filled the hallways. The intimidating sound of a familiar animal filled our ears. It was a bull. A maddened bull. It was at this instant that the string that kept us together by my brother’s hand was singed, burned and cut off into several pieces. We all ran in different directions. I lost every single family member, and could only concentrate on staying as far as I could from the quickly moving bull that was headed my way. This was how we passed the next hours, the next days, and the rest of our lifes. Short lived. But at least he bull got his dinner.

Meet me where the sun sets...
Highschool is back in session. I find myself squeezing through a crowded hallway, struggling to make it to my first class of the day. People find it easy to push me back and forth as if I’m some kind of pinball in a pinball machine game. Ding ding ding, right through the sea of people I go. Everyone is dressed adequately, carrying backpacks and books, but not me. I quickly catch a glance of my reflection in my peripheral view on one of the full length glass doors. Passerby’s still shoving me around while I manage to turn my body directly to the glass door, and I can now make out the reflection of my body. It’s only being covered by a one piece swimming suit. It’s a bright orange swimsuit.
No one seemed to be bothered by my apparel or even show a care. Upon taking notice of this, I decide to just carry about my day as normal.
Towards the end of the day several people would approach me and ask me if I was going to the sunset meeting. “What is that?. “ I wondered. The more details unearthed, the more it sounded like more of a party than a meeting. “Sure why not?”
Walking to the meeting point, high up in a canyon-like formation, I saw some instruments laying down on a large blue tarp, with a canopy top covering it all. Amongst the instruments was a beautiful, wide, elegant, western, lectruc guitar. I picked this guitar up and played my best tune.
No one seemed to care or bat an eye even, but it he band members arrived, and without getting mad at me, took over o start playing. Suddenly unamused I made my way to the main attraction. The beautiful sunset that had front row seats only a few feet away. The only problem was that even though the sky is the largest entertainment screen you can view, all visibility was blocked by the large gathering of people blocking the only opening between he canyon formations offering a view.

Aliens Bring the Rapture ( my draft wasn't saved and I was 7 paragraphs in, so I'm cutting it short out of pure uuh) Natasha is an exemplary student. Her peers look up to her. She likes to feed off their admiration and strives to be the best. Regardless, of her need for social attention, individual encounters shake her core. She tries her best to stay away from friendships, relationships and small talk. On the last day, of her last course, in the last semester, in her last year, she was demonstrating to her vVR 3D modeling class what flaws she he final project had and how they could have fixed them. They all knew her, but she couldn't name any of her 50 classmates - simply because she didn't care. Why retain information you won't ever find useful? Amidst her shining moment, as she stood at the middle of the classroom, her peers followed closely along with vr headsets on. Except for two snickering fellows behind her. They sounded relatively close, on her right side. Just as she drew another point to her classmates, one of the, formerly snickering fellas stepped down from his seat and without a warning...he kissed her on the cheek. Natasha, never being experienced with such intimacy, became petrified. Her body's joints locked in place, her breathing lapsed, but her voice and the point she was drawing carried out seamlessly. "Childish distraction" she thought as she carried on further. The kissy fella had made his way back into his seat without an explanation. Two more issues were addressed in her presentation, and she had already forgotten about the strange kiss on the cheek. However, without a snicker or an audible footstep, the same fellow made his way to her cheek again. Natasha processed it the same. "Who does this guy thinks he is?!" She exclaimed to herself in the comfort of her own mind. When the gentleman return back to his seat, his snickering buddy whispered loud enough " alright Freddy, my man" and followed it with a pat on Freddy's back. Class quickly came to a close after that. And Natasha followed the same path she always took to her car. This was it. This was the beginning of her real life. She was finally free, and felt unstoppable. She no longer had to charge through it. As she continued on her path and her sudden rush of happiness had passed, she began to finally notice her surroundings, her peers, and the sounds of the birds. You would think that all of that would just pile on more happiness, but a dark film covered her sight now, and she realized how alone she was. A group of girls passed nearby as they were making plans for the weekend. Seems as though they were going to take part in a celebration of their own graduation statuses. Where was Natasha's celebration? She had no friends, no family and no significant other to share her achievement with. This idea would typically not bother her. In fact, she would most likely find comfort in the silence of her own solitude than the unbearable mess of a social event. The sky grew darker, and the birds chirped no more. Only a few, quiet scholarly people walked by. She slowed down to a crawl and suddenly wanted to feel the warmth of another on her skin. Without a logical thought to follow, she placed her book bags on the floor, and pulled of her shirt. The sky was almost pitch black now, with a purple haze showing throughout. Nobody had turned to look at her yet. But she continued on by taking of her bra. Still no eyes had caught this sight. She dropped both garments on the floor, next to the book bags and kept walking. A few solo glances, but still nobody cared enough to approach her. " why is this not working?" She thought to herself as she began to walk more casually and comfortably. "I want to feel wanted". "Not just admired from afar. " " am I intimidating?" A few steps more and she heard someone shout " hey Freddy!" She slowly turned to seethe same damn fellow that had kissed her on the cheek. This was her chance. Natasha made her way to Freddy, surprisingly, without him or his friends noticing. Just as she was about to catch up to him from behind, his friends left him in his lonesome. Natasha, fueled by pure desire and lust, placed her right hand on his shoulder and leaned into his right ear to whisper " hey I need you to f$&k me" Freddy turned to her immediately , and to her disappointment, Freddy looked pretty basic. A plain shirt, a plain buzz cut hairstyle, basic facial features, a plain reaction, and plain stance. The only two features that kept Natasha in tact was his larger-than-basic jaw and his 6 foot height. All he could make out with his mouth was a sturdy " ok". And wrapped his left arm around her small waist to push her in front of him. He took this opportunity to cover her breasts with his large hands, as he stood closely behind her. Natasha, now fully enveloped in the warmth and strange sensations that accompanied this contact, couldn't help but to let out a quiet moan. They walked close together to a shopping center nearby where they saw a nice dark corner to grapple in. But before they could move on to the next level, Natasha suddenly became frigid again when she looked up into the sky and saw beautiful orb shapes falling towards the earth. Freddy took notice too, and let Natasha out of his grip. People started pointing and screaming towards the sky, a variety of reactions started carrying out. Freddy and Natasha remained calm though, and just kept a close eye on the orbs, as they grew larger in size when they kept drawing closer. The orbs finally became more solidified, and just like snowflakes, came in different designs and sizes. The smallest orbs looked like they. Were 5 feet by 5 feet , while the largest looked 10 feet by 10. When the orbs would hit the ground they bounced off the concrete floor as if they were made of plastic. Many people dodged and ran away from them, but Freddy watched as Natasha caught two with her bare hands and threw them to the side. He followed her lead. This carried on for a few minutes more until the orbs finally stopped falling from the dark sky. Only a few seconds later, the orbs started lighting up and floating just 7 feet off the ground. People's instincts were to duck, and so were Natasha and Freddy's. The orbs began to spin along the x axis as they kept a steady 7 feet off the ground altitude. The whirring sound and winds being created by this event made the people cover their heads and ears. 10 minutes later the orbs stopped in mid air and fell to the floor. The governor made an announcement that he would issue penicillin to everybody. The governor looked a bit comical, in fact, Natasha had never seen him before, but he wore a dark purple suit with a red bow tie and a beautifully awkward perm.

MY MOTHERS DAUGHTER BOSS's WIFE I wore that turquoise necklace - as instructed. They told me it had magical powers , and I was to meet my boss and some clients at a fancy restaurant near by. The necklace transformed me into a nother person. This person look like one of my other coworkers. he was a man however and I was wearing a dress and a necklace make up etc. . I almost looked like a transvestite. When I got to the restaurant one of my coworkers greeted me they then pointed to the table where my boss was already sitting with the clients. "You have to pretend to be his wife", said my co worker. "Why can't I just be myself?" I replied. "It wouldn't make sense", she answered. As I started walking up to the table I heard a couple of familiar screams of delight reach my ears from my left side. I quickly recognized my mother and a couple of my other relatives. I would much rather join them - I thought. They look like they're having so much fun. I took a different route and headed to the ladies restroom, to freshen up and take care of business. As I occupied the stall, I heard my mothers entrance announced by her familiar coughing and clearing of the throat. Getting out of the stall, I still had my full focus on her. She slipped and fell as she tried entering the stall that was next to the one I had just finished using. I helped her up and asked her if she was ok in Spanish. I had completely forgotten that my eyes were bright green, my skin was fair, and I looked nothing like a common Hispanic person. She looked at me strange as she found her balance again. With no hesitation, she blurted" are you even a woman.? "Yes I am. ",I answered very offended. "You don't look like one" she continued. "Yes I Am,! Andrea" I replied. At this point she looked even more puzzled. How did I know her name? I figured it wouldn't hurt, so I explained "look, I'm your daughter Eliza," as I took the necklace off. She freaked out, but allowed me to explain to her the circumstances.

Working alongside seven other individuals at a National Park, I realized I was in a dream, when I came across a scene that seemed to come straight out of a fairy tale . A fountain stood in its lonesome, with only three pillars surrounding it. They looked like they served no purpose. Two people were holding a conversation in the distance. Their feet met on the steps that lead to that lonesome fountain. The floor was made entirely of concrete- causing everything to reflect a gray tone. At this point, I stopped and I picked up a stick to challenge my conscious mind.
Write….the color “red”, I told myself. “Write it!” So I wrote it into the concrete- amazingly. “No…it’s not red, try again!” This was true. I wrote the word “red”, but it was black writing against the gray concrete. I wasn’t satisfied with this. So I kept writing it. Over and over again, I wrote “red”. Until finally, a crimson red ink magically appeared at the tip, and the actual color “red” was at my feet.

In short. I had a dream last night, where I embodied Beyonce. Yes the celebrity! I stepped out into a stage that faced a wall full of screaming fans. I immediately knew this was a dream. So I got naked. It's something I do to avoid a nightmare - it makes it arousing ly sexual. Usually, when one is outnumbered, the dream can take a sharp turn into madness. Suddenly you become surrounded by a mob of hungry zombies? So I performed naked, the more I took off the louder the roar of exitement got.

<h1>The Ones That Got Away</h1> <p>My brother, my sister and I were being held hostage by a gang of ruthless criminals. We were stowed away in the attic of an abandoned building. Where we were urgently being tortured and harassed by the pack's leader. The main guy giving all the orders didn't visually fit his role. His stature was weak and feeble-looking and his teeth peered out from under his top lip - giving him a face that could easily be mistaken for a rat's. his spine bent at a 45 degree angle, and didn't even stretch half as tall as his men.. </p> <p>I'm not really sure how I managed to bring him down, but when he drew his face extremely close to mine.. I threw him down, ripping his two most prominent teeth right out of his mouth. Not caring, if he was simply unconscious and still alive, or a dead man, I quickly turned to my siblings, and signaled or them to follow me. Staring at this room we were entrapped in, for hours, gave me a good understanding f what the best escape route was.</p> <p>The door was locked shut with the most impenetrable security measures, but in mid angry rampage, the pack leader had opened up a yellow window, to the right of that door, that gave us a perfect view of the bottom level, where one man guarded diligently. The bottom level was composed of a large empty wooden floor, pale gray walls, the diligent bald headed guard ,and a door that led out to or escape.</p> <p>Now, I was sure this was our only shot. Most of the guards were away eating lunch. I watched them all leave together a few minutes before, after they had finished teasing our fellow bald guard. Before someone notice their leader hadn't returned. I slowly slid the window open, just enough for all three of our slim bodies to fit through. Cautiously, I did this in intervals whenever he would interchangeably walk outside or crawl back inside. Quickly, I turned to my siblings again and whispered "follow me" and jumped out the window, landing 3 feet below. My brother followed me immediately, but my sister froze for a few seconds. </p> <p>I just ran without looking back, motivated by my belief that both of them were following close behind. My brothers panting behind me then reassured me and fueled my adrenaline. At this point, we managed to grab 4 guys' attention. Oddly enough, they ran with giant artillery, chasing us through the industrial city traffic, but couldn't catch up to our youthful sprints. I wasn't sure why we had gotten kidnapped, but one of the guys was an uncle of mine that I hadn't seen in ages. "Why ?why is he involved in this.? "</p> <p>a few miles later we lost all four guys, but our sister as well. She wasn't always the brightest in the bunch, but we were brought to tears when we reunited with our parents. They didn't seemed surprised or happy to see us though.... Almost as if they simply didn't care?all my mother could say is that my uncle knew where we lived and that he would find us quickly. On that note, I suggested we move somewhere else temporarily, but neither of them responded. I decided to take matters into my own hands, and found a good hiding spot for my brother and i. Not so long after we arrived, our sister busted in panting and heaving. We were so happy to see her alive. However, not so long after I heard my uncles voice bellowing from the ground floor up to our balcony"give them to me! I know they're in there!"

The Real One
Johnny, that was his name. I was young and though to be “in love” - but not with Johnny. The one I thought was the one was named Ivan. Ivan was perfect in every way imaginable. We fit like two puzzle pieces. At the age of 15 I was determined that I was to marry Ivan - and I turns out I did. Long after I met Jonny though.
Johnny struck a different chord with me. He wasn’t perfect like Ivan, but he intrigued me with the most unexpected qualities. There was something captivating about the way he gazed at me. His smile wasn’t the prettiest but it sure was the sweetest. I was only dating Ivan at the time, but it was reaching a solid two years of happiness. The more I noticed Johnny ‘s psysiognomy, the more flaws I found in Ivan.
It was as if the love I had once only reserved for Ivan was now being torn apart towards Johnny. I saw Johnny every single day at school. There were never any silent moments in our conversations. They were all full of laughter and exitement. With Ivan it seemed as if there was hardly any sound anymore. I knew I to do something, my heart was trying to fight it’s way out of my chest whenever I was too close to Johnny or too far away. “How could this be?” -I thought. “I had a life plan with Ivan already? ” I decided I would concoct a letter as a proclamation of my love for Johnny, but I decided to set it up for rejection. A friendly letter from one friend to the other. A letter that would finally deliver me from these “false” emotions.
I must have proof read the letter a thousand times. When I handed Johnny the letter I stood there watching his reactions to the letter. Making sure to cover my face with embarrassment every time he looked up. He chuckled every know and then, cueing all the jokes I had included to ease the pressure
So he wrote me a note, reminding me that I had a boyfriend, and that we were best as just buddies, and kindly added a smiley face. Just as I planned! Only half o fb my emotions settled down though. The other half took a few months to slowly fade away. The very last day of school, I chatted with him a bit, and held back the humongous hug I wanted to give him. We didn’t even say the words “good bye” or anything equivalent. “That was the end of that crazy mess.” I thought.
Years passed, I was 22 now, and I had just gotten engaged to Ivan. Yep! almost a decade later and we’re still going strong. No more Johnny s came into my life. Just Ivan. He was all I needed.
We had both our families accompany us to a trip to Las Vegas. I had never been here. our agenda was packed full of fun things to do, but I woke up late one Tuesday, tired from the night before. All I remembered was Ivan getting frustrated with me not budging off the bed, and leaving in a haze. So that Tuesday I woke up alone.
Nevertheless, I made sure to take advantage by myself, and ventured aimlessly -with no guide. Nightfall came, and fireworks filled the sky as I made my way back to my hotel room, holding a straw berry ice cream cone.
When I turned the corner, I found myself facing a large crowd of exited tourists. Children laughed and scattered throughout. Couples gazing up at the lights, seemed to not be bothered by anything. I smiled, watching all this joy play out. I found the wall nearest to me and tilted my head, still smiling , while my Ice cream melted into my hand. From the farthest corner of this scene, I caught a figure of a man standing next to a tree. He was alone too. The heel I was using to balance myself on the wall, slid off when I noticed him staring directly at me. Even creepier, I could make out a smile. “DO I know this guy?” In a panic, I began to pull out my phone to call Ivan. Looking down, Before I could even unlock my phone, his feet had made their way into my field of vision. I looked up, and there he was. Johnny. He looked like he hadn’t aged aged a single day. His smile still brilliant as always, and my heart beat racing out of my chest. Our immediate reaction was to hug, my cell phone still in my hand. I van’s face shone brightly off my screen.

Everything was black and white. But it was perfect. IT was a peaceful weekday evening when my dearest turned to me as she grasped my hand, that was idly lying on our dining table for a while before, and took a deep breath to say the following:"I truly love you, ...." she smiled. "I want to be with you until the very end." As I stared at her beautiful shining face, a soft wind passed by, tossing and turning the owl wind chimes that had been adequately placed by the restaurant owner - near the pole that behaved as a pillar to our shelter. We were in our own peaceful solitude, only separated by a small two legged table draped in a solid table cloth. A small flower base inhabited by a red and a yellow carnation, in the center of the table kept our hands from completely grasping. Before I could gather my voice, still staring into her eyes, I noticed a giant cloud forming in the sky behind her. I maintained a calm expression, as the cloud grew near, and became engorged. This was it. This was the end, and oh did I love this woman with all my heart - that the only thing I could do... is lean forward, knocking over the flowers, and embrace her.I Held her as tight as I could while I kept a peering eye on the explosion that was drawing near. My eye was fixated on this cloud till that last few seconds, that allowed me to squint my eyes, turn my lips to her ear and whisper , " I love you too". I wanted her last moments to be happy ones.. that's all I that I cared for in my last moments. Her.

Doomsday
A large crowd of people were gathered in downtown dallas, as if they were anticipating a fireworks display. We All stood outside city hall, whose extended roof provided the best shelter from rain. There must have been at least 50 people on my side of the building. I recognize d some of my family members. Stephanie( my cousin) , my brother, my boyfriend and my mother were some of the most prominent faces I could make out. Strangely, I still felt the presence of my entire extended family there.
The sky was at dusk, and the sun was on the verge of setting. This particular moment is always so gloomy. .. people were exited for what was to come. As we all stood there chattering and waiting, I placed my hand to my face at some point. I gasped in fright. My face was textured and bruised. It actually stung with pain when ever I touched to the right of my chin. My boyfriend quickly placed his hands on my shoulder, and attempted to settle my state of panic.
My mom notice d the commotion, and frantically handed me a mirror. I twisted my face in disgust when I held it up, only to reveal two bloody red scratches near my right cheekbone, that measured 2 inches long each. These were no normal scratches…it was as if some strange contraption scratched a texture into my cheek . The part that frightened me the most was the left side of my face , though.. a large scab was etched into the left side of my chin. It reached across the bottom of my cheek. Regardless that it was a scab, it actually contained white pus that was draining out. Now, the most unrealistic feature of my face was right above the scab. A triangular piece of skin had been torn from my face, revealing my muscle matter. I finally let my boyfriend explain at this point. He explained that I had a skin condition that was fairly new to the public. At this point we had tried different methods of recovering My skin. He explained every lesion - how the large scab on the right of my chin was a result of a tattoo gun. All these methods were unorthodox, as if we were desperate to find a cure.
My cousin Stephanie demanded we veer our attention towards the sky as she pointed and screamed. Her face should have shone a smile, but instead mirrored the same horrified expression I was displaying earlier. We all turned and stared at the sky, that was still not pitch black night, only to see a monumental, ancient looking vessel that slowly rested itself in the heart of our city. It quickly dispatched a missel into the sky that we all watched grow larger as it slowly fell down . It grew to become a perfect spherical ball of fire that almost resemble d our sun. It hit the surface of our city, only a couple miles away. What sick bastards….I thought…they decided to take us out slowly - letting us watch our world being destroyed. People screamed and ran around in panic. My little brother was the first to attempt to flee.I quickly grabbed his shirt collar to halt him, and pinned him down by setring my arms on his shoulder . We all tried to calm him down. We came to the agreement that we shouldn’t flee. There was no escaping this. So some of us stayed there….staring at the vessel throw countless missels. It was almost peaceful. Finally, the missel that seemed to belong to us started to fall towards us. We all hugged each other and closed our eyes. All I felt was a wave of warmth overcoming us. It wasn’t painful at all. But it was over.
Strangely enough.. I woke up, surrounded by burnt bodies. I scanned around and saw no living creature. Then, a weird unrecognizable twitching sound grabbed my attention. I hid and observed from afar, only to see these tiny red organisms working on my cousin's body. Stephane was being repaired by them. It might have explained why I was alive now. I wanted to sit and wait for her to be resurrected, but a cop car with the windows down came from a distance. I'm not sure why but my reaction was to run. What if they were actually aliens? Discuised as humans? The man driving the car stuck his head out and screamed "where are you going?!". At this point I started crawling the building. I was astonished that I could even climb like this.i crawled around the building until I was no longer visible. When I though t it was safe , I came down to the food again, to where a man wearing a combat suit was waiting for me . I ran and ran and ran. My final memory was running through an industrial alley , where I was awoken.

The Dealership
Giant empty mall. Blonde gym trainer. Dealership with glass doors. Red headed woman with 5 miniature dogs told me to take care of them and to not let them out the dealership. They kept escaping when anybody would come out. My boyfriend showed up and accident ly let the dogs out too. I was mad. Red headed woman wanted to sleep with my boy friend. The dealership owner wanted to sleep with me. As I served myself complimentary coffee I heard a familiar voice enter. It was the discus ting sound of my ex boyfriend. He announced his presence the loudest he could. I didn't dare turn around. He didn't recognize me, but my face was red with anger . How dare he ask for the most luxurious car when he clearly owed me 2k? -the end

Tv Channels
It was a series of shows last night. All almost completely unrelated to each other. First…the world is in ruins and barely inhabited by living animals and mammals. Buildings have been torn down to their bare bones. There are these machines that resemble human-made tanks, that hover the earth. They destroy any living thing in their path. We dont really know what or who they are. We just know to avoid them. They’re mostly gray, with hints of black, they carry a gleaming red light that seems to scan their environment.
I'm not in my own body, I'm a 35 year old male with squinty eyes and a nice rounded beer gut. My garments are worn out from crawling on the ground, trying to avoid getting caught by the red gleams. My head shows the early signs of balding. Im not the best looking hero around, but from the very beginning i feel this intense responsibility on my back. A comrade and I watch the sun set on the filthy remains of edifices. We had seen the devil machines earlier that day, but nowhere near our Sanctuary. Normally, a year ago, the sunset would indicate the end of the day, but in this new age, there was never an end to our days. We carried weapons that we managed to forge ourselves. I wasn't entirely sure how many of us were left at this point. I just knew my greatest intention was to guard them - the human race. Just as we expected, the metal deamons arose from the horizon. Far enough to give me and my comrade a head start. We wouldnt be able to take them on all by ourselfves, but we were prepared for this moment. We urged our legs to make haste back to the base, not looking back. We had blockages that were set up to slow our predators down. One by one, we knocked each one down to its rightful place. Finally, after a good mile or two of running, we reached the sanctuary. It didn't look that different from everything else I had seen. In the middle of this "haven" stood six pillars. These pillars held up nothing and were each topped off with a strange flat platform. It was hard to tell what their purpose once was. Even though my dream self didn't know exactly what to do, I suddenly started screaming strange terms "Guards Up! Lights down!". My screams brought 20+ people to the orange light that eminated from the sky. They began to follow my orders. Even though they didnt know exactly what was happening they still payed attention to me

The Tree of Deceiving
It's the middle of the night, and all that is visible is a single tree. It owns no leaves, and sits there bare naked with not so empty branches. There seemed to be garbage hanging from the naked branches. What is this? I kept walking towards it to try and figure out what it meant.
When I finally reached the bottom of this tree , with branches hanging low, one thing captured my attention. A happy memory of me and my ex boyfriend. It was one of those photos they take when you're dropping down from the highest hill on a roller-coaster. Kind of embarrassing, but truly a happy memory. When I touched the surface of the photo, it began to play the video of the roller-coaster ride.
What I thought was a happy memory, suddenly turned into a nightmare. Sure we started out screaming with joy, but the video showed me something I didn't notice when I was actually riding the roller coaster.
The guy behind us actually fell out of the roller coaster.

Porsche Keychain
20 years into the future ...It's 11pm at night, dew drops cover the car windshield that's facing me. Nothing else seems to surround the car. Just an empty alley, trashcan, an empty parking lot, and a scrap of metal left behind. "Should I even be here?" I thought -  looking down at my elegant dress.- Something doesn't feel right, but I have to make my way inside. They're waiting for me. I quickly checked my face in the car mirror, flicked my bangs to their right place, and turned off my car.
I open my car door, reached one foot out, and grabbed my belongings from my passenger's seat. Picking up my purse never felt so hard, specially when I felt a bright light blind me.

Nature's Zoo
Lidia and her family were extremely exited to try out the new zoo that came to town. It is said to be part of a new era of zoos. There’s no cages, an abundance of plants, and sea creatures. Lidia's entire family was on this trip to the zoo. Her brother , Brandon, her sister Joanna, and her parents. It was a zoo unlike any other. They arranged everything in the weirdest way possible. First, you found yourself surrounded by exotic plants. Slowly as they walked further, the plants began to merge with ocean life. Fishes would populate the water that the tall green plants would lead to. They were small ponds. The fish now started to get bigger as the plants would get shorter, and ultimately existed only under the water.
Strangest thing was watching the little ten year old kids, ( including Lidia's brother Brandon ) play inside a pool that was full of dolphins. They weren't even dressed in swimwear. No lifeguard was nearby to make sure they didn't get hurt or hurt the dolphins. Lidia was personally scared that the dolphins would try and hump her brother. She stared at Brandon swimming around for a bit, clenching her teeth with fear. Suddenly, Brandon started humping the dolphin. "WHAT?!" She shook her head, and walked away in disbelief
Lidia at this point separated from her family. There were way too many kids running around, and she needed to distance herself from the chaos.Every room felt like a different world, but still managed to transition in some sort of way. Without any real sense of direction, Lidia found herself in front of a bar, where all she could see was a wall full of liquor, and the jean covered bottom of a female bartender. She was bending over completely, trying to reach a glass that she had dropped on the floor.
I guess it was about time LIdia found some relief in some alcohol? She found a seat at the bar, and watched the bartender , who suddenly seemed extremely familiar, straighten up. "Hey !! Janet! I didn't know you worked here?!", exclaimed Lidia in surprise. It was her cousin Janet's butt that greeted her at the bar. Lidia got too caught up in catching up with Janet, that she never really ordered anything beyond the water she started out with.
