Miscellaneous items! Here we have the Ribbon Heist Baton, the Thief's Handbook (digital edition), the Pretty Calling Card, and the second set of Treasure Charms.
The Ribbon Heist Baton is the girls' primary weapon. The magic light it produces can either be rigid and used like a sword, or flexible and used like, well, a ribbon. Plugging in different Treasure Charms will allow for different attacks.
The Thief's Handbook is the series' exposition machine. All the information you could ever ask for is contained within, so long as it has to do with being the ultimate Phantom Thief.
The Pretty Calling Card is exactly what it says on the tin. It's left behind whenever the team completes a heist. The other side will have a signature and a small taunting message regarding whatever was stolen.
The second set of Treasure Charms are Luck (the clover, belongs to Cure Phantom), Freedom (the bird, belongs to Cure Trick), and Imagination (the shooting star, belongs to Cure Whisper). They allow both for upgraded individual attacks, and for the first group attack, "Triple Heist Finale."

Oh yeah, I've been meaning to mention that. The masks automatically appear when members of the public might see them. So if it's just them fighting the monster of the week or talking amongst themselves, then no mask, but if they're in front of a crowd, then mask.
They don't appear during transformations, and disappear during attacks, since those aren't strictly diegetic and are more representations of what's actually happening.

Henshin item perhaps? Why yes! This is the Lunar Watch, complete with a set of Treasure Charms!
In order to commence transformation sequence, one must open the watch, say "Precure, Midnight Showtime!" then the name of one's Treasure Charm (rose= Happiness, sparkle= Dreams, butterfly= Elegance). Then one must take their charm, place it in the slot below the clock, turn the clock hands to midnight, and finally say "Let's Heist!" After which, the watch will release the all important magic glitter, and the henshin may begin.

If those Wonderful Precure leaks are actually real then I am definitely digging the design, especially the stripey socks.
But they really are bombing on the names again.

Cure Phantom's post-attack send off. After defeating the enemy, the girls say a very French goodbye and leave behind their calling card.

Precure Moonlit Heist red carpet outfit reveal!
Originally I was going to color code their outfits like you'd usually see with a precure team. But then I decided they could have little a mismatched colors, as a treat

Nominee Spotlight: Precure Moonlit Heist
Precure Moonlit Heist is nominated for multiple awards at the 2022 Fancuries. Here’s what the creator @dreamypassionprecure has to say:
Tumblr media
Thank you to everyone in the fancure community for making this such a great place to be. My fanseries, Precure Moonlit Heist, was nominated for Fanseries Concept of the Year, and Cure Trick was nominated for Coolest Design for a Cure. I’ve put a lot of time and effort into developing PMH as a concept, and I’m currently in the process of writing it in screenplay format. I wanted to combine my love of magical girls and Precure with my love of phantom thieves like Lupin III and of course Saint Tail. I’m glad people appreciate all that’s gone into making it.

As for Cure Trick, her design just seemed to come to me. Usually I start designing a character with a basic idea of what I want already. But sometimes, like with Cure Trick, I just start drawing and see what looks right. It’s not a method that always works, but when it does, I think it makes some of my best designs. Originally I was going to make Cure Trick a blue Cure, but eventually decided she looked better with yellow/orange. I’m so happy that people like her!

Fancuries FYC: Precure Moonlit Heist
Tumblr media
Story summary: Masterpiece Kingdom, a magical land inhabited by fairies and renowned for its people's artistry, has fallen into the clutches of the mysterious Abyssal Group. The king, queen, and all of their knights have been turned into golden statues and taken, along with the rest of the kingdom's treasures. Now the kingdom's fate rests in the hands of the notorious thief Doro and the airheaded prince Arte as they travel to the human world to retake the stolen treasures.
There's just one problem though: it's very hard to take back stolen treasures when you're stuck as a talking raccoon and cat respectively.
So now it's up to three middle school girls because of course it is
Currently working on writing the series in script form. More information on my blog :3

So I've been thinking of a way to actually make Precure Moonlit Heist, like as a story, for a while now. I have a clear image of it in my head, but getting it out of there is difficult.
I found when trying to write Dreamy Passion Precure that the traditional fanfic format burnt me out too fast. I was trying to translate the very visual scenes I had in my head into a non visual medium, and it just didn't flow right when I tried to write it like a novel.
I considered doing a manga/webcomic, but I've tried that with other projects in the past and I always end up getting frustrated with myself when a scene doesn't look right. And it's not like I have the skills to animate anything, let alone a full series.
So I didn't know what to do for a while. But the other day I was thinking, why not try to write it like a screenplay/script? It's a more visual kind of writing, if that makes any sense. And I could always supplement with the occasional messy storyboard. It might not be a perfect solution, but it's worth a shot right?
So I'm gonna try that. I'm not gonna post anything until I know I can actually do it without getting burnt out/frustrated. But yknow, if you're interested then let me know. That might give me some extra motivation.
