one of the worst self-harming ADHD tendencies is when something won't result in immediate results, like maybe you need to order something?

so you put it off.

like right now I need to buy some capacitors, which requires a little bit of work to figure out which ones I need. but it'll take like 4-6 days to get here, so I keep putting it off.

I've been putting it off for a week. if I'd done it on the first day I could, they'd be here already. what the fuck, brain?

I was trying to remember what the hell Dinosaur was about because it’s one of those movies I watched constantly from like ages 6-10 and then never saw it again, and I came across this fun fact while I was reading a plot summary

And I’m just. Holy shit. Can you imagine if they had done that? Like, the predators never speak in movies like this. And the reason is obvious, because they need to be Other. They’re predators, you’re prey. They’re animalistic, they’re monstrous, they can’t be reasoned with. They’re driven only by instinct and a desire to kill and eat you. If they speak, it’s in growls and snarls and roars, a language you don’t understand.

So how fucking horrifying would it be. If after all this time of this monster stalking you through the prehistoric wastelands, killing your friends, and finally catching up and cornering you,

It looked you in the eye

And started talking to you.

i love how cats use their little walnut brains to go, "hm. it appears mother is moving very quickly and carrying many things. i bet it would be very helpful if i got right in front of her feet. this will make everything work more smoothly and won't lead to mother almost launching herself down the stairs to avoid kicking me. i am so good at plans."

Maybe this is the wrong platform to pose this question given the average tumblr user but

Is it just me or did our generation (those of is who are currently 20-30 ish) just not get the opportunity to be young in the 'standard' sense?

Like, everyone I talk to who's over 40 has all their wild stories about their teens and 20s, being young and dumb, and then I talk to my friends and coworkers and classmates, and we just... dont.
