I know I'm late to that but I can't believe it's been 1 year since the monstrosity that is TROS.

I don't think I will ever get over the feeling of sitting in the theaters, missing my soul after it escaped my body because of that ending... It was HARSH. I'm still mad about what happned to Rose, to Finn, especially to Ben and Rey! I don't think there's a character that wasn't fucked to some extent because of the changes they made, and it's so sad to see how you can't turn back from a movie like that after it's considered canon, so the last movie of the series basically ruined everything and I-

this one. I still see him more grey than full good imo. The idea of him still dealing with his past and still committing crimes (albeit guiltily) is my take of redeemed Ben.  A full wholesome, pure good Ben Solo isn’t just my thing.

You are so right! I mean, even if jarjar Abrams would like to forget it, TLJ exsits, it's a canon continuation to TFA. HE CAN'T IGNORE ALMOST EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED IN THE MOVIE IF HE'S SUPPOSED TO FOLLOW IT UP AND FOR OT TO STILL MAKE SENSE!!

I can't believe Rian Johnson left these points in TLJ so episode IX could continue them but Abrams and Terrio didn't even bother. This is what TLJ did and was left unfinished:

• Destroyed Anakin/Luke's lightsaber so Rey could make her own and use it for the whole of episode IX.

• Made the obvious hint in Hux's final shot that he would be the main villain in IX.

• While it was changed/deleted for pacing issues, a stormtroopers rebelion was hinted in a deleted scene with Finn and Phasma, but this tells me Rian at least also thought that Finn's overall arc would end as leader of the stormtroopers at the end of the trilogy, instead of... you know, being Force sensitive out of nowhere.

• Revealed Rey's parents so we could move on and make other character and plot progressions.

• Left the Jedi Texts with Rey so she could learn to be a Jedi without a master (looking at Leia being a Jedi out of nowhere).

• Rose and Finn's relationship was left in a romantic note that would had continued in IX instead of introducing another female character that (per interviews) was made as a romantic interest for Finn.

• The movie kept talking about the balance and how the Jedi failed, hinting that a new order of Jedi's learning both the Light and Dark would come, ehem Rey and Kylo probably leading them.

• In VIII both Rey and Kylo were two sides of the protagonist but in IX he was reduced to an exposition character in the first half and in the second one he had no lines.

I know there are more but still this day I am very mad at how things ended despite all the great potential it had. Episode VII and VIII are in my Top 5 of Star Wars movies, and IX is my least favorite and kind of ruined the trilogy for me.

Hope one day they can kind of fix this mess somehow.

The reason why force bond works and force healing doesn't

So for starters, reylo is the first main couple to have both partners with force abilities. Both Leia and Han and Anakin and Padme had only one partner with force abilities, so the force bond is something that could have been existing for years on end and we as the viewers just haven't been shown this kind of relationship ever.

On the other hand, the name of the franchise is literally Star WARS, as in, PEOPLE ARE FIGHTING, GETTING HURT, AND POSSIBLY DYING, so wouldn't you think that force healing would be a very useful thing for wars, perhaps to do the very obvious thing of healing people and BRINGING THEM BACK FROM THE DEAD?!

I mean, you bet your ass that Anakin would have used force healing to bring padme back from the dead, but that would be silly, because one of the things that made him turn to the dark side was Padme's death.

So we have here a classic case of a plot hole, thanks for reading my rant 🙌🏻

I honestly don't think I'm the only one when I say that it makes much more since making Hux as the new villian so that he would take the place of snoke and Kylo would join the resistance just so he could be Rey's teacher like he always wanted and ends up fighting not just for her but for all of them and from there he earns his redemption arc much earlier in the movie?

So the longer I thought about this the more I realized that people who used to say (and maybe still say) that Rey shouldn't have ended up with Kylo Ren because he is the villain and everything is honestly talking nonsense.

I would have said they were right if Kylo was evil his entire life but we all know that what drove him to the dark side was that Luke literally tried to kill him, his nephew.

And that, in fact, is very much canon in The Last Jedi!

I mean, Ben was never bad, and I think the pull to the dark was just him being a normal human being! The star wars universe tried to divide the characters by putting them in the dark side or the light side but in life, nothing is black or white. Ben felt betrayed, then the dark side seemed like the only place he would be accepted in, and there he went through the manipulation of Snoke and ONLY FROM THEN ON did he become the Kylo Ren we know.

So there, people need to get their eyes checked and see things for the way they truly are.

So let's talk about the Kylo-is-sad account.

It has mixed opinion of the fanbase: those who appreciate the humor in the account and realize what it's meant for, and those who hate it for the way the person behaves in the account.

I personally love this account! It's so funny to me and I know to treat it as it is meant to be treated- as a parody.

It's never meant to be taken seriously and it's a very exaggerated version of KYLO and again, it's KYLO and not BEN.
