my point is that it’s inherently somewhat funny that when i had my first gay crush i would write down their name & email on a slip of paper & bury it deep in the biggest hole my 11 yr old hands could dig. farming the land bc i was just SO definitely heterosexually invested.

not saying this person is “wrong” or “didn’t get the joke” or whatever bc idk them & i don’t want to place “correctness” on what’s clearly an opinion - we’re def all aloud to hav our own benchmarks for whats distasteful. but i also think that like. there IS just definite absurdity & therefore humor in the fact that homophobia is so ingrained.. that when there IS deep, near-romantic intimacy within “same-sex” friendships - so often the ppl within them go will to huge psychological extremes to represent that nature, & how that can sometimes be in avoidance of the simplicity of just. admitting gay desire… also i absolutely have no idea where they got the whole murder suicide thing.
