not to give away the entire plot of a fic im (attempting to) write but. if annie is struggling so much financially, why is she living alone before she moves in w troy and abed. wouldnt having a roommate make bills easier? moving in with someone who needs a roommate at the beginning of her freshman year would be really easy. and pretty cheap. and maybe her roommate is just a bit standoffish at first, but really they're very similar people. and they take a lot of the same classes. and maybe one night they're up late studying, but really they both have it pretty much down and maybe they've split a bottle of wine between them and maybe annie is all loose and maybe her roommate's eyes sort of shine against the streetlight from the window and maybe she gives annie a math problem to solve and all annie can focus on is the way her mouth moves around the numbers and maybe. maybe they kiss. maybe annie kisses her. and then. maybe she wakes up the next day and freaks out, moves out within the month. decides she cant have a roommate. cant take the risk. besides, itll be easier to focus on school without the distraction. and she hardly even thinks about her old roommate. until they go head to head at the model un, of course
