⋆ Time to prepare for the upcoming cooking competition ⋆

You picked up the fizzing drink sitting on your nightstand, you laughed to yourself slightly, your stomach hurting again. Love was weird, it made people do crazy things, for example your exact situation. Xiangling was an amazing chef, always whipping up new dishes and asking you to try them. Today was the day you tried one dish too many. You took a sip of the fizzing water hoping your stomach ache would be gone soon.

Putting the drink down and falling backwards onto your bed, you wished you had a bigger appetite so you could spend all day trying Xiangling's tasty dishes. Her eyes filled with stars of passion when she cooked, laughing to yourself again you wondered if she could ever love you as much as she loved cooking. A small smile graced your features thinking about the crazy stuff she'd do to get ingredients. Sighing dreamily as you slowly fell asleep. The next day there was a knock at your door.

You got out of bed and opened the door to an excited Xiangling. "Y/N there's a cooking competition coming up in three days so we've got to prepare!" She held a flyer in her hands smiling at you. "Then let's get to it." You answered as she cheered excitedly and started grabbing ingredients from your pantry.

You followed her to the spot you usually meet at, it was a nice place by the lake where she could cook peacefully. Watching Guoba and Xiangling run around the kitchen together was cute to watch, "Done." You looked up at a smiling Xiangling, surprised "how fast." Much to your surprise Xiangling lifted up the fork and fed you, she's never done that before. "So what'd ya think?"

It was her specialty, Wanmin Restaurant's Boiled Fish. "It's amazing Xiangling!" Her smile was the most contagious thing ever, unable to stop yourself from smiling too. "Oh! After you finish that I already have dessert ready."

You wondered if today would get you in the same situation as last night. Guoba followed behind Xiangling as they went and brought the treat to you. Your eyes widened. It was your favorite dessert. "Unfortunately I only made a little bit. I was kinda in a hurry this morning."

There was only enough for you and Guoba.

"I don't mind sharing with you Xiangling." She smiled at you again "thanks Y/N." You took a bite of the delicious treat savoring every flavor. Xiangling tilted her head slightly to the side and pressed her lips against your softly.

You must've been dreaming, Xiangling was kissing you. She pulled away and licked her lips.

"That really does taste good."

Yae sighed quietly to herself, the book store had been so busy this past week resulting in her forgetting to prepare her lunches like she usually would. Yae picked up one of the novels beside her and began to read to distract from her hunger. Yae's eyes tiredly followed along the words on the page when the scent of fried tofu wafted through the air, catching her attention immediately. She placed her book down and scanned the area until her intense stare landed on the familiar face of a Tengu warrior she had known to be friends with Kujou Sara. A small smirk adorned Yae's lips, she had an idea.

Yae left the bookstore and made her way over to you. "Why hello y/n." She sweetly waved at you, smiling softly and sitting down next to you. You had been enjoying your lunch under a nearby cherry blossom tree that happened to be right in front of Yae's book store. "Hello Guuji Yae." You politely returned her smile.

Yae delicately lifted her hand from her lap and cupped your cheek turning you to look at her. "Excuse me for being so forward but, I have a weakness for you y/n." She spoke with a honeyed tone, her eyes never breaking contact with yours. Your breath caught in your throat and your wings fluttered slightly. " I apologize, I'm not sure I understand you."

Yae inched her face closer to yours, your lips almost touching. "Surely you must know, after all you're a strong, smart, and very handsome warrior." Your eyes were glued to Yae's parted lips, her breathing was soft and she smelt of strawberries and sugar, you were completely entranced by her, caught in her trap. Cherry blossoms flew by the both of you creating a scene straight from a romantic film. You had feelings for Yae but simply never acted on them, you wondered if she had felt the same way you did.

You blushed slightly and leaned in to close the gap between the two of you. The feeling of Yae's hand leaving your face and her body moving away from you caused you to open your eyes confused. You stared blankly at Yae feeling your soul leave your body, she was eating your fried tofu. Then it hit you, Yae wanted your lunch from the start. You chuckled lightly, never trust a Kitsune Guuji.
