Fill your life with activities that FILL you up. Not things that fill your friends up, your family up, this is about you and making this year, the most wholesome year of your life yet…
Your favourite author is doing a book tour, go check it out. The women’s conference an 8hr flight away in six months time. Book it. The hiking. The music event, the painting classes. Whatever it is, become a wholesome person. Become a person who lives a life of passion. For yourself first and foremost, and this involves making PLANS. Don’t let this be another year where life passes you by. Where you think about how nice it would be to see your favourite music artist live, but you never booked the tickets, where you think it would be amazing to write that book, but never made time for it. That you think it would be amazing to hike on the weekends, but you didn’t even go. This year is fuelled by loving action. Expansiveness. New experiences, people, connections, your whole world is about to grow.

for 2024:
read a lot and read everything
film and art and music are what builds ur soul
be outside
love and romance will not come to you any quicker if you are focused on it constantly
possessions don't improve things
movement does improve things
university is <4 years of the rest of your life - make the most of it
find the pleasure in hard work
lose the pleasure in scrolling
creation is essential
joy, love & intelligence are the tenets of life
stagnation isn't inevitable. no person is in a fixed state. you can always change

Living By The Word:
For the first week of 2024: words on letting love (w)in, the overcoming force of goodness and daring to show up as you are with what you have. One quote for each day of the week.
Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.
— Carl Jung
Things don't come to us once we are ready, they tend to arrive early. Right when we are not sure of our capacity to fulfil them. And that's the acceptance of the challenge. The ability to trust ourselves to figure it out as we go. To navigate new waters and learn along the way.
— Amber Lyon
in love
there are no closed doors
each threshold
an invitation
to cross
take hold
take heart
and enter here
at this point
where truth
was once denied
— bell hooks

Affirm with me:
I am not mistakes.
I am not bound by my past.
I am not reduced to my flaws.
I am not stuck and stagnant.
I am dynamic and ever-changing.
I am full of life and hope for my future.
I am growing.
I am blessed beyond measure.
I am learning, always.
I am a whole being and I embrace the complexity that comes with that.
I am who I am in this present moment and that is enough.
I am fully known and loved by God.

April: fresh flowers, listening to the birds sing, prioritising the wellness of my soul, acting out of love rather than shame, embracing silence, practicing a ministry of presence, intimacy, rose incense, leaving myself ajar for inspiration, early mornings, music and sweet smells in the kitchen, praying out loud, welcoming the dynamism of life rather than trying to control and predict it, movement as an act of self-compassion, going after my dreams with a curious and courageous heart.

We must substitute fear for faith. For fear is only inverted faith: it is faith in evil instead of good.
