3 things i learned reading the link on tumblr are: 1- Tumblr allows users to post and share various things such as; text, photos, links, dialogues, audio,video and slideshows. 2- It is one of the top 25 used applications in the U.S and handles 40 million posts everyday. 3- Tumblr effectively attracts college educated audience specially ages 18 -24, 56% female users and 44% male users.

Make-up is very interesting as many people perceive it in different ways. At different parts of the world they use it in different ways. Over the past few years a lot of new make-up styles came out and took over the trends.

This topic effectively connects to me as my interest in make-up grew rapidly in the past few years. I am so interested in learning new techniques and being up-to-date with the latest products.

In this video. a woman with a pale face transforms to an edgy look using make up. The video is almost 7 minutes long and the woman in the video shows the steps on how to achieve the final look. 

I believe this video is effective, as the the tutorial is the best way to teachh audiences how to apply make-up in a certain way to end up with the look they want. Also, in the video all products are shown which helps in accuracy.

This make-up picture is interesting as its a close up and shows the a lot of details. The shadow on one side of the picture makes it look glamorous. 

No matter how much you have make up on you can always fix it or add things to it as shown in the picture, where it looks like a finished make-up yet shows a brush giving it a last touch.

Don’t we all agree that having make-up brushes is a great investment? Like any other investments we need the good in return. For this to happen, you need to wash and take care of you your brushes and do it REGULARLY!

For those who suffer from acne, cleaning your make up brushes should be an essential, you would not want to add more bacteria to your face.

Reasons you should clean your make-up brushes: -Old make-up -Dirt&dibrits -Bacteria -Oils -Dead skin cells

I always clean my make-up brushes and i think its extremely important.

Changing Your make-up day to night

The make-up you apply at the beginning of day will not last. Your night make you should be an updated version of the day make-up. To improve your make-up here are some tips:

Clean up: Wipe the damage caused through the day using blotting papers and fix them using concealer.

Blush: Lighten your blush as it does not have to be as dark when under the sunlight.

Lips: Apply a lipstick that are few shades darker then add a shiny gloss.

I think as a university student these tips are extremely useful.

Do you contour before or after foundation?

Applying a foundation base that is the same color of your skin evens your skin tone, this could be a start for your contour to be applied on a clear colored skin.

Contouring your face without applying foundation makes it harder as your base is not pure and as even.

I prefer applying foundation before contouring because i would be working an even skin tone.

MAKE-UP TIPS

We all use make-up (at least from time to time.) Are your techniques right? Here are some tips by Kimberly Soane, the director of artistry at Bobby Brown.

Concealer: Never apply concealer as a base on your eyelids, it will crease your eye make-up.

Mascara: For perfect results, start from the roots and go in zigzag motion upwards.
