The Carry On Countdown is a fandom hosted, month-long ‘countdown’ event to the Chapter 61 Snowbaz anniversary for The Simon Snow Trilogy by Rainbow Rowell. The event begins on November 25th and features daily prompts to help inspire all kinds of delightful, fan-created content as we draw closer to Simon and Baz’s anniversary date on December 24th.

We encourage fanfiction, fanart, cosplay, memes, songs, playlists, crafts, etc. The prompts are completely up to your own interpretation and can be used in your content however you like, but if you have any questions, please send us an ask.

How the boys were recruited by Jimmy in NuA:

1. Timmy

Jim went to Dimsdale to investigate a weird news of certain people forgetting that they are being robbed. Fearing one of his past invention is leaked, he went to find the culprit, who turns out to be Timmy.

As Jim confront Tim, they were ambushed by human traffickers who have a personal vendetta against Jim. Tim saved Jim from the mess. Impressed by his selfless act, Jim recruits Tim to his rebellion group to bring down Syndicate with some conditions that both mutually agree.

2. Danny

Danny went rogue as his ghost side took over after he was slained by Vlad Plasmius. Jim & Tim used this opportunity to confront Ghost Danny & turn him back to normal. Once recovered, Jim offers Danny to join him for his quest to defeat the Syndicate. Danny was unconvinced, but Jim provides further info regarding Danny parents' death, which the Syndicate has an involvement that leads to it. Danny eventually agreed to lend Jim a hand to learn the truth behind it.

3. SB

After the trio defeated one of the Syndicate, Prof. Sheldon. Sb, who's one of the minions that works for Prof, is left wander aimlessly around town. He almost died due to his sponge body can't stand the heat for long time. Danny managed to save him & brought him to Jim, so he could fully recover. Since they were once enemies, Jim reluctant to add Sb into the group, but after Sb proves himself to be trustworthy, Jim let him into the group & stay with him ever since.

There are other people whom Jim wants them to be recruited in his quest, but they turn him down. These ppl are:

Snow for Christmas: a report card

~~assigning letter grades to all the characters in "Snow for Christmas", based on their performance~~

Malcolm Grimm -- C. He gets a passing grade, but mostly just for showing up.

Daphne Grimm -- B+ Good effort. Good presentation.

Delia Grimm -- A- Gets to hang with the boys, watch Die Hard (minus the violent bits), drink champagne. She's made great progress.

Fiona Pitch -- ooh, this one is tough. Because i'm a Fiona simp, I'm going to give her an A- Others might disagree. She shows up at a pivotal moment in young Baz's life and mostly doesn't fuck it up. A good showing from our resident crazy aunt.

Gareth -- A. He clearly made an impression. That cake trolley description stuck with Simon for years. Good work, belt buckle boy.

Spadey -- F. Inexcused absence. Was he there? Does he exist? Christina might know. Never showed up to class. Contributed nothing.

Lamb -- n/a. Grading Lamb is outside the scope of this exercise. Lamb cannot be graded. He's a law unto himself.

Simon and Baz -- A+ for both our boys. I'm so proud of their communication and support for each other. Well done, sweethearts!! I love you forever!

Lady Ruth Salisbury -- A+++ Excellent. The best. Goes above and beyond. The standard by which all other grandparents will be judged. Lady Ruth breaks the curve.
