Yong Soo’s memories
Yong Soo still retains memories of being the Three Kingdoms of Korea, who existed before he was born. As a child these memories made him a strange child and he acted much older than his years towards his family. In addition, the two Koreas share memories of being one country.
In my mind, each of the Three Kingdoms had its own personification.

Yeah, it’s usually like this:
*Japan is handing China some (yen?) bills. China is sitting on Taiwan and has Hong Kong on a leash. Korea is throwing a stone at China.*

“The ‘Curse of Britannia’ isn’t simply thick eyebrows. It’s knowing how much larger and full of possibility the world could really be.”

[ originally, this had a picture of Hong Kong trapped in a birdcage ]

Kiku is a foot fetishist. He appreciates feet that are well taken care of. He also loves feet that are well-traveled.

[previously, this headcanon had a picture of Kiku licking Yao’s bound feet that I picked out XP]

China has a foot fetish that embarrasses him. He just likes small feet. The smaller the better.

[imagine if you will, a very lewd picture to accompany this]

Alfred is a massive K-pop fanboy. Yong Soo likes the attention.

Arthur loves the food that Yao makes.
Seriously, it’s nothing like the Chinese food at Panda express or wherever it’s served.

Mongolia was harsh, but he wasn’t a sadist.
He was trying to make Russia understand that they lived in a hostile world where nations are not going to wait for a fair fight. He wanted Russia to learn how to survive and not be so codependent because he had been forced to learn these lessons the hard way.

Sadly, the bamboo grove where Yao and Kiku first met no longer stands. In its place there is an urban housing complex.

HK and food
When Hong Kong was brought under Japanese control under WWII, he was starved to the brink of death.
Even since, he’s stuffed his face with as much food as he possibly could without making himself sick.
He never wants to feel that hungry again.

Yao and Kiku
Their leaders forced them back together. Yao accepts this as one of the necessities of being a world power. He had to, of course, make up with Arthur, Frances, and Ivan as well.
Kiku knows it’s just business as usual, but he can’t help but feel like he is the luckiest bastard in the world that the other will even make eye contact with him after everything he’s done.
He also, in his most secret of thoughts, smug in knowing that the other has always come back to him.

Life Update + the fate of this blog
Hello everyone, it’s been a long time hasn’t it?
I’ve had some life changes since starting this blog.
I started graduate school in 2015, so much of my energy has been focused on that.
First thing’s first, I’m not as invested in the Hetalia fandom as I used to be. A lot of other things have grabbed my attention, so I haven’t had the energy to work on this blog.
The other thing is: I will be deleting and reposting all headcanons on this blog that use art used without permission. The me of several years ago was much worse about art reposting, and I’d rather not have an archive of that mistake.
It’s unlikely this place will ever be as active as it was in the past, please understand. I don’t want to delete everything because I’m unhappy when pieces of fandom history disappear in the ‘Net.

Indonesia and Russia
Indonesia and Russia have really close relation. Really close that a lot of people assume that they really look like a couple

Philippines would be like: when hyped, acts like America, when calm, bubbly like Spain, when angered, talks like Romano, when pissed, comments like England, when raged, protests like France, and when praised, boasts like Prussia. But she's also like: when abused, scares off like Finland, when betrayed, smacks back like China, when confused, goes about it like Italy.

If Singapore's a chick she'll be tsundere for HK. If Singapore's a guy he'll pretty much treat HK as an equal and on the same level

So England found Singapore first. What was not as well known was that Scotland came with him (knowing a lot more about the area).
England didn’t pay a lot of attention to Singapore right after that, instead leaving Scotland to take care of him. Scotland’d learnt a bit of Malay for Singapore, and Singapore grew very affectionate towards him
And when Dutch forces moved in on Singapore, Scotland eventually succeeded in protecting Singapore as a British colony
Later when Singapore started profiting England came back, but he was quite pissed off with how Scotland was organising things and sent him back
One of the other reasons why England sent Scotland off was because he thought Scotland had gotten too close to Singapore, in other words, “gone native”, he had wanted them to “uplift” the locals but not become too friendly with them
They had quite an emotional farewell, but Singapore was too young to understand what was going on then
Until after WWII, after England surrendered Singapore over to Japan, did Singapore start hating England for forcing Scotland away because he remembered Scotland protecting him
And it was also why Singapore felt he could relate to the later issue with Maria Hertogh in the sense that both of them were forced away from someone they cared about
Nowadays since Singapore’s independence the two of them treat each other as friends
but Singapore still secretly thinks Scotland was the closest thing to a father he had since his own parents disappeared
He still can’t decide whether Scotland or England deserves more credit for him
