Why does she feel the need to ramble? To bury her affections in excuses? She knows there’s a deeper understanding between the pair & she’s happy that her interest is beginning to be known - but she can’t help but play the game of romance & keep her intentions a little mysterious.

Her chatter trails off as he presents a gift for her & now it’s her turn to be surprised ( a small part of her thought he might not even be aware of the holiday, let alone want to partake in it ). Her eyes flutter between his & the pouch before she takes it, tipping its contents into her palm in curiosity. Pupils dilate, ears prick up & lips part as precious stones catch the light on their edges, the pouch slipping from her grasp as her attention is stolen. She holds one gem upwards, allowing the sky to set its purple hue alight & her smile returns, softening her expression.

His insinuation goes uncontested, as all she wants to do is wrap her arms around him & squeeze - & she does just that.

       Seeing her eyes light up, and her expression fill with joy, that made him feel.. Far better than he expected. He knew she’d at least appreciate it, knowing her love of shiny gems, but still— It brought a smile to his face, he’s really glad that he spent the time to get them. 

      There was moments of doubt, should he get them or not— They aren’t even really.. A thing. Would it be weird, or not ?? He didn’t know, he’s in uncharted territory in this relationship with her.. Most he can do, is do what feels right to him, so that’s what he did. In the end, it feels like he made the right choice.

     Before he had time to react, her arms were around him, holding him tightly and closely to the bat. His eyes widened slightly and his cheeks warmed up, not often he’s cool with this kinda thing— But when it comes to her, it’s not that bad.. She’s kinda warm, it’s nice. Cautiously, he wraps a hand back around her, accepting the embrace and keeping her close.

      He pulled his head back slightly, a sudden wave of charisma              hit the echidna as he looked at her with a smirk.
