Cold Fire

Robots are supposed to be my forte… but my ADD mind always takes me away from one of my favorite subjects. For the past three years, I have been meaning to play the March of Robots challenge… but I have not been able to. “Cold Fire” is one of the few occasions I dabbled in my favorite subject during a March of Robots challenge. It was refreshing that I was able to do this one quick sketch during this particularly busy month.

High Collar Sky High

Any Victorian age outfit is just fun to draw. When I got the prompt to do a drawing of a high collar, the Victorian era immediately came to mind. It is the perfect type of fashion to denote the DSP prompt. When I finished the spit paint, I was so happy with the result that I had to develop the image some more.

Hoodie

I challenged myself to have a fully colored sculpt instead of my typical clay-shaded sculptures. I used color attributes to create the diffuse and roughness paintings for this character.

Medieval Back and Forth – The Recruit

Being tasked with coming up with four keyframe illustrations in less than a month while working full time is rough. I’ve been avoiding the Artstation challenges for the past six years because of the amount of time required to complete the task. Last year was my make it or break it year. I wanted to at least attempt the challenge and see how far I can get. I was pleasantly surprised that I finished with my first try.

This is the first keyframe image I came up with for the Medieval Back and Forth Challenge. It is my favorite out of the four paintings I created.
