These Caught My Eyes for a Minute
JBL never fails with their design factors. Especially this time they killed it with something new from the design aspect.
For its latest Tour Series true wireless earbuds, JBL is taking an interesting approach to the wireless charging case. The Tour Pro 2 comes with what the company calls "the world's first smart charging case," thanks to a 1.45-inch LED touchscreen display on the outside. This panel offers controls for both music and calls in addition to notifications for messages and social apps. The company touts the convenience of not having to look at your phone for said items, but you will have to keep the case within reach.
Aside from the case, the Tour Pro 2 is a set of flagship earbuds. They're equipped with adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC) and ambient sound mode with 10mm drivers, spatial audio and JBL's Pro sound inside. Personi-fi 2.0 allows you to customize the audio profile to suit your listening habit and an ear tip fit test can ensure a proper fit. JBL says you can expect up to eight hours of use with ANC on (10 with it off) and three additional charges in the case, plus a quick-charge feature will give you four hours of use in 15 minutes. For calls, a collection of six microphones are onboard with the company's VoiceAware tech. And lastly, the earbuds are IPX5 rated so they should withstand workouts just fine.  JBL says a forthcoming over-the-air update will deliver Bluetooth 5.3 and LE Audio to both the Tour Pro 2 and Tour One M2.
JBL is also expanding the Tour Series with a new set of noise-canceling headphones. The Tour One M2 is an over-ear model that offers both the company's True Adaptive ANC and JBL Pro drivers. The noise-canceling tech monitors and adapts to your surroundings in real time. The company is also debuting a feature similar to Sony's Speak-to-Chat tool that automatically pauses audio and activates ambient sound mode when you talk. JBL calls it Smart Talk and the feature resumes your previous ANC setting when you're done speaking. The company's Personi-Fi 2.0 is on these as well, giving you customized audio to meet your sonic sensibilities. JBL Spatial Sound is here too, as is a low volume EQ that keeps audio quality consistent when the content isn't as loud. In terms of battery life, the company says you can expect up to 30 hours with active noise cancellation on or up to 50 hours with it off. If you find yourself in a pinch, a quick-charge tool will give you five hours of listening in 10 minutes. JBL says “four VoiceAware - equipped microphones help with calls, so on paper these should be suitable for any chats that might arise.”
I’m damn waiting to see Tour Pro 2 in hands. As far as I saw the videos on Instagram, the UI on the display of the case is really interactive and very useful. Moreover I haven’t notice any kind of lags or pickups any where while they used - as most of the first generation products with gimics offers. And I presonally prefer Sennheiser HD 350BT over Tour One M2. Anyway let’s see will this tech put forward new trend or will gets go back into the hw stuff and this is - Edwin K Jayesh.

Open Ai x Microsoft
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was hearing the latest episode of MKBHD’s podcast, And they came across the topic open ai... It was shocking that after all these months it still keeps the hype and rather wat the company does with their hype. They still manage to grow with the hype and keep growing on what they do to this humanity.
Adding Open AI services with microsoft applications are one of the best things going to happen in this year in my opinion.
Let’s dig more into this...
Large language models are quickly becoming an essential platform for people to innovate, apply AI to solve big problems, and imagine what’s possible. Today, we are excited to announce the general availability of Azure OpenAI Service as part of Microsoft’s continued commitment to democratizing AI, and ongoing partnership with OpenAI.
With Azure OpenAI Service now generally available, more businesses can apply for access to the most advanced AI models in the world—including GPT-3.5, Codex, and DALL•E 2—backed by the trusted enterprise-grade capabilities and AI-optimized infrastructure of Microsoft Azure, to create cutting-edge applications. Customers will also be able to access ChatGPT—a fine-tuned version of GPT-3.5 that has been trained and runs inference on Azure AI infrastructure—through Azure OpenAI Service soon.
According to the microsoft experties...
A responsible approach to AI
As an industry leader, we recognize that any innovation in AI must be done responsibly. This becomes even more important with powerful, new technologies like generative models. We have taken an iterative approach to large models, working closely with our partner OpenAI and our customers to carefully assess use cases, learn, and address potential risks. Additionally, we’ve implemented our own guardrails for Azure OpenAI Service that align with our Responsible AI principles. As part of our Limited Access Framework, developers are required to apply for access, describing their intended use case or application before they are given access to the service. Content filters uniquely designed to catch abusive, hateful, and offensive content constantly monitor the input provided to the service as well as the generated content. In the event of a confirmed policy violation, we may ask the developer to take immediate action to prevent further abuse.
We are confident in the quality of the AI models we are using and offering customers today, and we strongly believe they will empower businesses and people to innovate in entirely new and exciting ways.
The pace of innovation in the AI community is moving at lightning speed. We’re tremendously excited to be at the forefront of these advancements with our customers, and look forward to helping more people benefit from them in 2023 and beyond.
And that’s what i wanted to share with you all - Edwin K Jayesh

Music Player in 2023... Why Sony?
The convenience of Bluetooth streaming is great but it is constrained by how much data it can pump through its signal. Though portable music players are preferably used with wired headphones for maximal performance, wired cans have seemingly enjoyed a recent renaissance too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Smartphones are great for convenience but they’re not necessarily great for sound. As they’re multi-taskers, able to perform a range of functions, that also means they are a product that’s a jack of all trades but master of a few. Support for higher quality music has become better in the portable space with what Qualcomm is doing with its Snapdragon Sound platform and Sony’s innovations with LDAC, but in terms of outright quality for music, you won’t find better than a portable player.
Sony’s announcement of a new and not too expensive Walkman is a sign that portable music players still have a function and a purpose, as well as reminding some they still exist. Most would assume that portable music players have (or are) going the way of the Dodo, slowly passing their way out of relevance. However, we’re still seeing specialists such as Astell & Kern launch new players every year, and just recently FiiO announced the M11S. While Apple killed off the iPod, the rest of the portable player market isn’t interested in joining the scrap heap just yet.
The NW-A306 has a battery life of up to 36 hours of continuous playback, a 3.6-inch display, and because it runs on Android, you can install your favorite streaming apps if you must, although that defeats the point of having all your music with you. You'll still need a computer to load your music onto the device, just like with the iPhone's Music app, but that somehow seems less annoying with a walkman than with a phone. It also has audiophile-level playback at up to 96KHz (more than double the sample rate of a CD), although that's probably not a difference you can hear.
But it's not all upside. For a start, you'll have to carry two devices if you still want to carry your phone. And it's possible that you kind of let your music library slip when streaming came along. I bought a used iPod a while back, and when I loaded up all my songs, there was no music from the last half-decade or so because I'd been streaming it all.
The convenience of Bluetooth streaming is great but it is constrained by how much data it can pump through its signal. Though portable music players are preferably used with wired headphones for maximal performance, wired cans have seemingly enjoyed a recent renaissance too.
In a wider sense, of this seems to have converged around a greater want for higher quality music on the go. We have for decades limited ourselves in this area as MP3 streaming and downloads were a step in the wrong direction, one that’s taken a long time to reverse. In people’s minds, the quality of what they’re listening doesn’t matter as much as having access to it. We have access to more music than we can fathom at the moment, the area that we need to beef up is the quality we listen at.
From DACs to headphone amplifiers and higher quality streaming services such as Tidal and Qobuz (we still wait for Spotify Hi-Fi to make its entrance), the issue of ‘quality’ is one of the frontiers that the music and audio industry is pushing towards. All these devices have the potential to make music sound better, so while my smartphone will still be my device of choice given how much it (rightly or wrongly) rules my day-to-day activities, when it comes to listening to music in its highest quality, I’ll be tuning in with my portable player to get the best experience possible.
Tumblr media
On My View Point...
You may think that, there’s only a need of an audio enhancing software or a high end headphones. But on all every aspects, from nostalgic design, high end specs possible and even quality - Sony have managed to make it all happen in a capsule. And that’s it. For music lovers, this will be dream gadget for sure and so happy to see this upgrade on this formfactor which was really unexpected. And looking forward to have a glance of one of these in real. And that’s been it - Edwin K Jayesh

SMARTPHONE LAUNCHES IN FEBRUARY 21'
Tumblr media
Oppo Reno 7 Series
Oppo Reno 7 series that includes Oppo Reno 7 5G, Oppo Reno 7 SE 5G and Reno 7 Pro 5G is confirmed to launch in India on February 4. For the unversed, the smartphone series debuted in China last year. As per the China variants, Oppo Reno 7 5G will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, while the Pro model is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200-Max SoC. What made this funny is it really looks like iPhone lite version. Actually I won't recommend these. It's your wish to go on with it or not.
Tumblr media
Redmi Note 11S
Xiaomi India has confirmed to launch Redmi Note 11S in India on February 9. As per the official teaser, the smartphone will house a quad rear camera setup. It will come in a blue colour option. It is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 SoC. Redmi Note 11S might come with up to 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage. It's a feature packed smartphone but it still gets problem with the software. It's really buggy sometimes. Redmi still haven't found a solution for this. If it is available for around 20 - 30k I will recommend.
Tumblr media
Samsung Galaxy S22 series
Samsung Galaxy S22 series that is expected to include Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Pro and Galaxy S22 Ultra will debut globally at the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 next month. Notably, the official date of the event is yet to be announced. The Ultra is likely to bring the Note’s S pen with it and also a similar boxy design. The other two models – Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ are expected to be the usual S series devices with curved design and no S Pen there. Most awaited phone actually. But I really look forward to the redesign, as per the leaks I hated but I love the key factor point S Pen.
Tumblr media

Some Interesting Smartphone Launches !
OnePlus 10R
OnePlus 9RT is out now and its performing out of expectations from the information shared by reviewers in their initial impressions and thought. I felt so like they are doing great compared to their competitor Samsung S21 FE. I can assure that 9RT is worth than S21 FE for this price for sure. Anyways let's comeback to the launch of 10R. What made me interesting to this phone is the chipset and the performance from 9RT. Yeah talking about the chipset here they uses Dimensity 9000 which makes a standout for the current situation. I have already done an article on Snapdragon 8Gen 1 chipset's launch and specs, where i have noted a problem of heating. Now experts states that it's the problem with manufacturer - Samsung. As you all know Samsung is the manufacturer of Snapdragon chipset from the launch of Snapdragon 888. And Snapdragon is facing major issue of over heating in mobile phones using both 888 and 8th gen 1 chipsets. So this is the chance for MediaTek to overlap Snapdragon in upcoming devices. Actually Snapdragon has got the potential and I can recommend those devices using them once they switch back the manufacturer to TSMC. So that's a considerable check point in upcoming devices for the time being.
Spec Sheet
The OnePlus 10R is could feature an AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rates and at least 8GB RAM paired to 128GB internal storage. The device could be launching towards the end of June, largely because of the delays that OnePlus faced in the release of its predecessor, the OnePlus 9RT in India. The device was originally slated to roll-out in October but issues around chipset shortage and Oxygen OS 12 stability pushed it to January 2022. The OnePlus 9RT is priced in the Rs.42,999 to Rs. 46,999 range and it was rumored that the upcoming OnePlus 10R (or would it be OnePlus 10RT in India?) could be had for a cheaper price due to the MediaTek chipset. So I think it would be priced around 35-38K.
Tumblr media
Unexpected Google Products
Pixel 6a
The Pixel 6a is set to debut sometime in May 2022. Reports suggest that the upcoming Pixel 6a might have a similar design as the new Pixel 6 series with camera modules placed at a horizontal strip and a triple-tone colour scheme on the rear side. Rumours indicate that the phone could be the first affordable one from Google’s inventory to ditch an 3.5mm audio jack. The phone is expected to get a 6.2-inch OLED display. It could have Google’s in-house Tensor GS101 chipset on board. The same silicon sits under the vanilla Pixel 6 phone. The Pixel 6a will likely get at least 8GB of RAM. On the camera front, it is tipped to get a 50-mp sensor and an ultra-wide sensor. The phone might equip an 8-megapixel camera upfront. The Pixel 6a will flaunt a glass back and measure a dimension of 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.7mm. Actually this device remind me of the FE phones by Samsung but here Google really fooled all of us. Always India and some other countries always unlisted out of their best products and services. I can assure that this Pixel 6a is good but it's just glitter to our eyes from google. Always the gold is Pixel 6 and pro. I won't recommend to buy one of those. Let the phone come to hands let's see their performance and worth for the price or not.
Google is also rumoured to bring its first smartwatch around the same time. The Pixel smartwatch to debut on May 26. He even shared an alleged image of the Google Pixel smartwatch that showed the gadget feature a sleek round dial tied in three colourful straps- Blue, Orange, and Grey. The design somewhat reiterates Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Active 2, although the latter has a slightly thick body. Actually I'm really looking forward to this to see how really good the wear OS works. We already discussed about the experience and all earlier. They may also give updates on upcoming products on that day. Let's see how these all comes out for the time being it's - Edwin K Jayesh.

iQOO Stole My Mind Again!
iQOO launched the iQOO 8 series earlier this year in China. The company launched two premium smartphones, one of which features a Snapdragon 888+ SoC. The rumour mill claims that iQOO might not launch the iQOO 8 series in India. Instead, the company could skip the series and launch the iQOO 9 series in Q1 2022 in India. While we wait for the official confirmation, some key details of the upcoming iQOO flagship have leaked online. As expected, the iQOO 9 series will include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. Let’s take a look at the iQOO 9 specifications, features and other details.
Spec Sheet
iQOO 9 series could debut in China and other markets in January or February 2022. Ahead of the launch, the device’s key specs have leaked. The upcoming iQOO flagship smartphone will draw power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. According to the tipster’s leaked information, both devices, the iQOO 9 and the Pro model are likely to feature the flagship chip from Qualcomm.
The device will also feature a second-generation independent display chip and come with dual speakers, dual X-axis linear motor. iQOO is also said to launch the device with dual pressure-sensitive shoulder buttons. The phones will come with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. They are likely to feature an AMOLED panel and an in-display fingerprint scanner. There is no word on the display size at the moment. The leaked specs further reveal that the phones will support 120W fast charging. They will come with an enhanced heat dissipation system. For the cameras, the iQOO 9 series will come with micro-gimbal PTZ. It is unknown if both models will feature the gimbal mechanism as only the iQOO 8 Pro has it and not the vanilla model.
Unfortunately details about the camera sensors remain unknown at the moment. But they do a really great job with camera and its processing compared to other brands at this price range.
Tumblr media
On My Thoughts...
This is the design of my dreams like the colour palette and the texture all makes it perfect for me. I should give 10/10 for this design but I doubt the wideness of the phone affect the in-hand comfortability of the phone. But from renders they have done a great job at this including the camera bump thickness management. They're having AMOLED where display was the major draw back in iQOO phones. For this one they have rectified it. Yeah I really wish to see this in real and this me - Edwin K Jayesh.

A Take On Moto Edge S30!
Motorola Edge S30 has been scheduled to launch in China today and ahead of that, the smartphone has been spotted on a Geekbench listing. The listing suggests that the smartphone could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM. The upcoming Motorola smartphone was earlier spotted and also suggested some key specifications. Motorola Edge S30 is speculated to have a similar design language and specifications as the recently launched Moto G200.
A Motorola smartphone with new model number was spotted on Geekbench. It is being speculated to be the upcoming Motorola Edge S30. The smartphone has received a respectable single-core and multi-core test scores of 1,117 and 3,198 points, respectively. Furthermore, Motorola Edge S30 is seen to be powered by a Snapdragon processor with up to 3.0GHz clocking speed, which is believed to be the Snapdragon 888+ SoC. The listing also shows that the smartphone has 8GB of RAM and runs Android 11.
Motorola Edge S30 was also spotted in a US FCC listing earlier this month. It suggested that the smartphone will get a 4,700mAh battery which will support 33W fast charging. It is also said to come with 5G connectivity.
A notable tipster also shared some key specifications of Motorola Edge S30. It will reportedly feature a 6.78-inch LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone is said to be cosmetically and mechanically similar to Moto G200 which was launched in Europe last month.
Tumblr media
On My Thoughts...
I actually expected a lot from this device but really disappointed. I don't know the fact which companies follow nowadays reducing specs for 5g phones. Yeah whatever maybe, as I said in title, it's just reporting about the release which I wish to make a change in company's title. But didn't so no words on this phone. It have a LCD display and at the same time there are rumours of having a hidden camera but official and latest renders, it have a punch hole camera. But it dont have camera in the leaked photographs of the phone. Let's see how it comes anyways it is only available for China. Yeah makes sense and Its me - Edwin K Jayesh.

The laptop packs an 83Whr battery that is rated to deliver up to nine hours of usage on a single charge. Besides, the machine weighs 2.3kg and is built using post-consumer recycled ocean-bound plastic and includes a recycled aluminum stamped cover to help maintain a sustainable environment — alongside pleasing gamers with top-notch specifications that they could provide.
Tumblr media
On My Thoughts...
First of all we have got a lot of choices in the tech world to choose our companion. Even in the gaming segment people consider many factors for getting one. And all companies focus on their focus point in specifications. And they keep improving the version they made every year. Here they could provide i9 instead of i7 but most of the people go for AMD Ryzen for gaming purposes. Yeah what attracted me to this laptop is cooling system's design and keyboard's backlight (sRGB). They have done pretty unique style with the keyboard and innovative kind of redesign for the cooling system. Talking about the recycle and sustainable factors of the device, it's protected by recycled aluminium and used recycled ocean plastic for some components. It's protective shield helps it to last more life. ANd yeah that's pretty much it and the choice is yours, for comparison checkout ROG AND LEGION laptops at this price range and choose a laptop for your purpose and this is - Edwin K Jayesh.

Pixel Watches !
According to people familiar with the matter, Google is bringing out a Pixel Watch next year – a flagship device showing off Wear OS in the same way that the Pixel series of phones show off the Android mobile operating system.
First of all this has been a long time coming: rumors of a Pixel Watch have been swirling for several years at this point. There aren't many gadgets that have remained as rumors for quite as long as the Pixel Watch has. And it feels as though the timing is right. Google's Wear OS software got a major update this year, and Google is on a roll after the success of the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro. The company's hardware division now seems to have the momentum and the expertise to take on a new product category like this.
Pick out one of the best Wear OS smartwatches
The Pixel Watch might be a Fitbit
What's more, we think that a Pixel Watch could be exactly what Wear OS needs. The Apple Watch continues to be a huge success, while smartwatches from the likes of Fitbit and Garmin have proved popular with users too. In comparison, Wear OS is lagging way behind in terms of both sales and attention. The likes of Fossil and TicWatch have done a commendable job at pushing out Wear OS smartwatches, but the clout that Google carries would put the Pixel Watch on another level – and bring Google's smartwatch OS to a much wider audience.
Tumblr media
Wear OS – previously known as Android Wear – has been around since 2014, but it has never really caught the imagination in the same way as watch OS has. Apple has shown how a smartwatch can be a natural extension of a smartphone, and now Google needs to follow that lead. Recently added features such as the ability to install watch apps from your phone suggest that Google is finally committing a substantial amount of time and effort to improving the software and consequently all the devices that it runs on. With a Pixel Watch, the connection between watch and phone could be even more seamless. We might even see some special Pixel Watch exclusives offered to tempt in more consumers, which is something Google has done with its Pixel phones.
By introducing hardware alongside the software, Wear OS should benefit from additional investment, as Google looks to keep its flagship wearable and its operating system as polished and appealing as possible. We might even start seeing yearly updates, which is what happens with watch OS. Remember that Samsung has now gone back to Wear OS on its own smartwatches. Add in a Pixel Watch as well, and Android users could finally be getting the companion device for their smartphones that they deserve. It is the saturation point, now Android too have it's own ecosystem and almost all companies are providing same services. Yeah all are for good and let's see how this all come out and this is - Edwin K Jayesh.

Why I Loved These...
Key factor is sleek design and thin bezel for three sides except bottom and cable management feature. For price value you may go for redmi's one but its 2K. It's okay. Actually I'm not buying monitors but I really wish to look one for editing purposes for which, I choose 4k and ofcourse brand value makes this one more likely to choose. Other options that you can checkout are BenQ monitors and Samsung. Never go for LG's one for video editing purposes. I choose Xiaomi's one so that i can have multi purpose mode switches and 4k. Yeah 4k is needed for watching movies and video editing. But it's LCD but it's okay for a monitor and it has got all ports. Let's see how all these come out and don't know is this available or not, so this is - Edwin K Jayesh.

Is Realme Watch T1 Worth?
Realme has been pretty quiet for some time now, with very few wearable launches in the past few months. Earlier this year, Reame launched a couple of wearables in the form of Realme Watch 2 and Realme Watch 2 Pro, which offered some really good upgrades over its predecessors. The Realme Watch 2 series came with a large colour display with touchscreen and supported over 100+ watch faces, 90 sports modes, blood oxygen, heart rate monitor, and smart AIoT control as well. It seems the Realme Watch T1 India launch coming up next.
According to well-known tipster Mukul Sharma, the Realme Watch T1 has now been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database, which means that the company might launch the smartwatch in India in the coming weeks. The Realme Watch T1 has been spotted with the model number RMW2103 in the BIS listing. We do await any sort of official communication from the company though. It was already launched in China and got so many great reviews and now its reaching other parts of the world.
Spec Sheet
The Realme Watch T1 sports a 1.3-inch (416×416 pixels), circular AMOLED display with 325ppi pixel density and further comes with a 50 Hz global refresh rate, which helps in operating the smartwatch without much lags. It also comes with 4GB of internal storage which offers offline music playback support. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, heart rate sensor, and blood oxygen (SpO2) sensor. Realme Watch T1 offers real-time heart rate monitoring as well with continuous SpO2 monitoring and extensive sleep analysis data.
The watch has a Corning Gorilla Glass on top with up to 5ATM (50 metres) waterproofing available. It packs a 228mAh battery that is claimed to last up to 7 days. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, inbuilt GPS, NFC, GLONASS, Galileo and Beidou. It also features 110 sports modes including badminton, elliptical, hiking, and walking among others. The watch is expected to arrive in the coming weeks with all three color options, Olive Green, Mint, and Black available at launch.

Coming Back To Point...
It's like not explaining the watch, I'm just pointing out what all factors make it special out of other watches in the same budget segment. First of all I loved the design - the circular face and the face collection. It supports dynamic colours at 50Hz refresh rate - That's pretty smooth. It's strap is kind of unique design and they placed their iconic tagline perfectly. It has got internal storage to store offline music - kiddos for that and may be it will be used for wear OS things. Don't know. It has GPS and NFC - I love both features at same wavelength. It is completely packed and expected price is 8000-10000 INR. Let's see how well it comes out actually realme has got all goodies for building an ecosystem and this is - Edwin K Jayesh.

Qualcomm Into Laptop Processors!!
Yesterday was all about the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, today Qualcomm is focusing on other platforms of tech. Starting with Windows-on-ARM laptops and two new chipsets for them – one flagship and one for affordable devices that nevertheless need 5G connectivity. The Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 is the high-end offering. Qualcomm is keeping hardware details under wraps, so we don’t know what CPU cores are being used here. We do know that it is a 5 nm chipset (a world’s first for Windows devices), while both the original 8cx and the Gen 2 were 7 nm parts.
The company also revealed that the new chip will offer a massive 85% increase in multi-core performance compared to its predecessor, along with a 60% boost in GPU performance. Also, the NPU has been upgraded and now offers over 29 TOPS, three times what the previous chip could manage.
And all of that with reduced power usage, Qualcomm says that this can be used in fanless designs. The previous chips could too, but this should have them soundly beaten in sustained performance. The company is also boasting about multi-day battery life, but that will obviously depend on the individual laptop.
The 8cx Gen 3 taps into many of the advancements made in the smartphone chips, including the advanced modems. Qualcomm will offer laptop OEMs several configurations when it comes to 5G – the top shelf option is the X65 modem that can deliver up to 10 Gbps downlink speeds, the older X55 is the middle option topping out at 7.5 Gbps, then there is the X62 at 4.4 Gbps. Local connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and the latest Wi-Fi 6E.
There are other features like AI-accelerated echo cancellation and noise suppression (this is where that beefy NPU comes into play). Also, the chip supports multiple cameras, for example, it can share front and back cameras simultaneously for an online presentation in an office or for school. Work/study from home is a major consideration this generation, as is working on the go.
The Snapdragon 7c+ Gen 3 is aimed at affordable Windows laptops. It is fabbed on a 6 nm process (the 7c Gen 2 was an 8 nm chip) and offers major performance improvements over its predecessor – 60% faster CPU and 70% faster GPU. Of course, Qualcomm didn’t make a direct comparison between the 8cx and 7c+. The NPU offers 6.5 TOPS of AI compute power, a minor improvement (up from 5 TOPS).
Tumblr media
Wireless connectivity also got a major boost – it now supports 5G. With its X53 modem it can deliver downlink speeds of up to 3.7 Gbps. It supports Wi-Fi 6E as well for speeds up to 2.9 Gbps.
The Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 only did 4G, but Qualcomm thought it was important to offer fast, modern connectivity even for the entry-tier laptops, so it switched to a 5G modem. Of course, the two new chips also benefit from developments in Snapdragon audio and security features. According to Qualcomm, the first Windows 11 laptops with the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 and 7c+ Gen 3 will come out in the first half of 2022. Let's hope for the best and this is - Edwin K Jayesh.
