A healing candle spell, to help other people with grief.

I created this spell to help my friends heal from the loss of thier son, who took his own life a little over a month ago.

Disclamer: This is my first hand written spell, so there may be mistakes or other ingredants that may work better. Also know that the herbs in this spell are there due to availability to me and personal meaning. Please do change this to fit your needs as this is a very personal spell.

Ingredients

A white candle or white candle wax

Amythest; healing, happiness, courage and grief

Smokey Quartz; grounding and release from depression

Rose Quartz; love, healing, releaf from guilt

Bay Leaf ;healing and protection

Honey; stability and love

Oregino; health, family, luck

Clove; love and memory

Chamomile; peace and harmony

Spearmint;mental streingth

Lemon; purification, love, dealing with pain

Marjoram; protection, love, happieness

Mulberry; strength and growth

Nutmeg for fortune

A small container you can melt was in and pull it back out afterwards (or wax paper to line the container) (Im using a metal shotglass)

A small photo of the person or people you hope to heal, preferably with the person they are mourning.

A small note with the intent of the spell or a sigel that symbolizes the intent of the spell.

A new wick to place in the candle your making

Note, you dont need alot for any of these so ground and juices or oils should work well. Also, I’m doing this on a full moon, but i don’t yet know if there’s a better time. I’m going to try the spell a few other times to see how it works.

Instructions

Mix all herbal and crystal ingredants into your small container, try to keep it at less than half your container.

Place photo face out on the side of container, make sure it doesn’t fall over into the container later.

Rip up or burn your letter, place pieces or ashes into spell to help charge it with your love and specific intent.

Melt candle wax and mix herbs in while still over heat source

Pour wax into the new container and place new wick in. Be careful not to let the photo fall over into the wax. Make sure to keep a little bit of wax left over.

Once wax hardens take candle out of container, flip over, and seal any holes with leftover wax.

Bless the new candle in whatever way you like to and ask your daities to watch over the person(s) grieving.

Burn candle whenever you feel they need it most or just when ever your thinking about them until it goes out.

TO RELEASE GRIEF

Braid your grief into a witch's ladder, surrendering to your grief, wholly entranced by the rhythm of the braid. Sit with your grief. Live with your grief. Let your grief cure until you are ready to release.

Find yourself in a beautiful spot, surrounded by a soft liveliness just outside the stillness. The sun has just dipped, twilight has begun. The candles are lit. The space is made sacred.

Cry out in a sweet voice your thanks for the recent rains, the clouds which promise more, the fall that sweetens the air with damp and decay, the plants allies who rejoice with us, the earth who grounds us, the very air which we breathe!

Offer Her a token of your heart. Small, delicate, ephemeral. A single dried orchid flower from a plant unexpectedly adopted.

Create fire within the cauldron, the belly which cradles us all. Breathe your own life breath into the fire, then burn your offering. Ask Her to take your grief, to take it from you and to lighten your heart. Give thanks for this favor. Burn your grief.

Bury the ashes in the Earth and thank her for taking them. Give her compost as thanks. Dig a small hole, so her wound heals quickly.

Give thanks and close out the ritual.

It is now night, and the crickets have just begun. So, this is fall in this place.

I see an error in my ritual tonight. I didn't build in an offering element, the orchid is more of a catalyst. I see now that I am still endebted and I'm gonna have to do devotional acts of service. Grief is mostly gone, though.

Hug-In-A-Mug grief spell

This is a grief spell best casted for someone else rather than yourself.

Hold rose quartz ( for love) and snowflake obsidian (for finding the light in the dark times) in your non dominate hand as you do this. Putting them in your pocket can also work

Make up your hot chocolate mix( doesn’t have to be anything too fancy)

Close your eyes and tell the person who the beverage is intended for that you love them and that you’ll hold them when their down.

To finish add squirty creme; sprinkle on some ground cinnamon (for warmth) and I like to also use a tiny amount of edible rose gold food glitter on top as well (again pink for the steady kind of love, and glitter to add a little sparkle to their day.)

Ultimately any drink can be used, no crystals are essential but they help focus the energy that you are putting into this drink. This is a very personal but technically simple spell. It requires a lot of your own energy and can be quite draining to cast, and as such it is intended as a spell for grief or horrifically low points in people’s lives. The point is to show the person that they are loved and that there are people around them that care.

Grief Spell Jar

I’ll give you three guesses as to why I made this recipe in the first place, and the last two guesses don’t count.

Here’s the ingredients.

Salt for protection

Chamomile for healing

Rose Petals for love

Orange Peels for positivity 

Sage for mental strength

Dandelion for dealing with spirits

Cedar because it’s a traditional Indigenous medicine in my area, and I like bringing my lost culture into my practice

Kambaba Jasper for grief

Tigers Eye for grief

Vanilla Incense because it’s the kind I had, and it’s what represents air on my altar, and I like to include as many elements as possible

White Candle Wax for healing + to seal

Green Candle Wax for healing + to seal

Of course, use what you have. If you want to try this, and have something with the same intention as the ingredients on my list, go ahead and use whatever you have instead. 

Modifying pre-made spells and making them your own is the first step to writing your own spells

Protection Chant

Here is a protection chant to protect you from evil, you should do this before and after doing spells, Visualize your self sitting in the middle of the pentagram facing upwards with 3 circles of purple light round you and say: “PROTECT ME WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT OH GODDESS GRACIOUS DAY AND NIGHT” say it three times then end it with “SO MOTE IT BE” another version of the same spell just different words is: “THRICE AROUND THE CIRCLE’S BOUND SINK ALL EVIL TO THE GROUND” say it three times and end it with “SO MOTE IT BE”

#2 Protection Spell

Protection chant for out-door spells: Before attempting spells at night, out-doors, take up a blessed object (wand for instance) and draw a pentagrams in the air. Imagine the pentagram glowing and the evil around being trapped inside until after your spells, chant:

“Hail fair moon Ruler of the night; Guard me and mine Until the light”

Family/Loved One(s) Protection Jar

What You’ll Need:

Herbs: (Amount of each herb is up to you, I used about a teaspoon of each except the powdered garlic, which I used a little more of compared to the other herbs)

Powdered Garlic

Ground Black Pepper

Dried Cloves

Crystallized or Ground Ginger

Optional: Cayenne Pepper to enhance each of the herbs power/ energy.

Stones/Crystals (Optional):

Hematite (1 or more, completely up to you)

Other Materials:

Blue or Black Candle.

Jar

Paper

Pen or pencil

Directions:

1. Place or pour all of your herbs and your stone(s) into the jar.

2. Write the names of those you wish to protect (include your name as well) onto pieces of paper (1 piece of paper for each person, so I’d recommend that each piece be small pieces of paper).

3. (For this step if you are interested, you can inscribe a protective sigil into the candle with a knife, but this is completely optional) Light your candle of choice and let the wax melt onto the inside of the jar’s lid. Make sure that you can still close the lid after melting it onto the inside of the lid.

4. Say this as many times as you wish:

“May those I love and myself be protected from all harm so that we may live safely”

5. Blow out the candle and place the pieces of paper into the jar and close the jar.

After the spell is cast, keep the jar in a safe place. I haven’t touched the jar since I casted the spell, so I’m not sure what will happen if you were to open the jar. But I recommend that you don’t open the jar since the candle wax and the incantation basically sealed the spell, meaning that if you were to open it, the spell might break or stop working. So just try to keep it off the side out of harm’s way.

This is a quick money drawing spell. A black candle to ward off unexpected or harmful expenses, and green candle for drawing new money - both annointed with cedar oil for the fortitude to get through life until the money finally kicks in. We have an emerald and a bay leaf with the intention written on it, cinnamon potpourri sticks, and of course a few coins!

The bay leaf was burned at the end of the spell to release the intention into the world 🔥🌿🔮

Recreational Witchcraft’s Luck & Money Powder

This powder is ideal for drawing luck, money, and job opportunities. Sprinkle some of it into a burning candle, dust some over your body before going out or add some of it to a hot bath. 

Grind & Combine:

Green or white Eggshells for prosperity and fortune

You shall need. 

1 Black Candle

A Photo of the person 

Musk Incense 

Graveyard Dirt 

A Bowl

Light the Incense and conjure up all the rage for you have for this person. Light the black candle continuing letting the rage build. Look at the persons picture and say 

“ (Persons name) I curse you, i summon, call and conjure all the dark to one, Fill you mind with rage. To ruin your life, To tear your life apart from vein to vein I command this” 

Feel again the rage you have for this person build up inside you. Allow it to fester and boil inside you. Place the picture inside the bowl, Pour the graveyard dirt over the picture as you visualize your hatred for this person.

Place the candle on top of it at the top of your lungs scream

“Destroy” 

Put the candle out, Each night after light the candle, and feel the rage you have for this person and scream “Destroy” repeat this each night until the candle burns out.
