Clea Strange

The huge wave of AI generated aberrations that are invading the Clea/Strange tag made me do the impossible and actually pushed me to finish this big illustration that was 90% done in 2022 and just needed some final adjustments to be finished 💜✨

I previously published only the movie version but this was how the illustration was meant to be, featuring a whole range of looks Clea had through the years! Clockwise around MCU Clea: the first, "Steve Ditko" version, the straight-haired Clea from the 70s, the super curly 80s version, the most recent post-DoDS "witchy" look, and the beautiful look from the 2016 Annual look.

This was a massive effort and after two years there are things I would redraw from scratch, but I still hope you'll like it 💕

Queen in Japan! 🌸

17 April 1975, Queen land in Japan for the first time for their Sheer Heart Attack tour, conquering the hearts of everyone! I know it's a big holiday for Japanese fans but I wanted to make a small contribution as well, it warms my heart to know it's so wholeheartedly celebrated in Japan 💕💕💕

"We knew there was sort of demand for us there and so we tagged it on to the end of an American tour,” explains Roger Taylor. “We had a holiday in Hawaii and then it was, sort of, logical, so we went there. We arrived at the airport and suddenly realised it was on a scale different to that which we’d imagined - there were thousands of people there, just to welcome us. Normally you just don’t get that sort of thing anywhere.”

Happy Easter and Happy Queen in Japan day! 🌸💕

Today in 1975* Queen landed in Japan for the first time and since then Japanese fans celebrate the Queen Day every year on the 17th April! 🥰 I wanted to make a tribute to this celebration and to all the Japanese fans as well and draw Queen as pretty boys from a Manga, using a picrew I did a while ago as a reference. The background is a pre-made one by Clip Studio Paint ✌🏻💕

It's been a quite hard drawing and for some reason it gave me a few struggles but I hope you'll like it anyway! 🥰 Thanks to q__log2 on Instagram for helping me with the Japanese text!

Here are some infos on this manga school AU:

They're the school's band and they're very popular among girls. Freddie and Brian are the oldest, Roger is in the middle and John is the youngest.

Freddie comes from India and is the only gay in the group, breaking lots of girls' hearts but also helping them out with their relationships 👀💕 It's a bit of a recurring gag that he likes Bara men... and Jim senpai too.

Brian is the best student in the school, usually quiet and mysterious, he can become very talkative about his interests. He's very awkward around girls and struggles to get any flirting hints from them 😅 (r.i.p. Chrissie)

Roger is the loud, funny boy who flirts with everyone, specially girls. He has a secret crush on the French senpai Domi-san, but she doesn't really care about him (yet?). He likes to hang out with Freddie the most, and helps Deaky to come out of the shadows.

John is the young, shy boy of the group. He's rather mysterious and some students are even scared of him. Doesn't really care about girls and has incredibly high grades. He really likes Veronica, but will struggle to confess his feelings to her.

As I studied comics, I always imagine the lines of dialogue as baloons each containing the phrase, and the descriptive paragraphs as vignettes. Every line is a baloon, every description is a vignette, and they're separated by white space. Even just a whole scene can be fit into a vignette (paragraph) but that should be separated from the following scene or description. If you're familiar with comics maybe that might help to format your fics 🥰

I’m noticing an increase in new fic writers on AO3 who…uh…mayy not know how to format their fics correctly..so here is a quick and VERY important tip

Using a random fic of mine as example..

Idk how many times I’ve read a good fic summary and been so excited to read before clicking on it and being met with an ugly wall of text. When I see a huge text brick with zero full line breaks my eyes blur and I just siiiigh bc either I click out immediately or I grin and bear it…it’s insufferable!

If a new character speaks, you need a line break. If you notice a paragraph is becoming too large, go ahead and make a line break and/or maybe reconfigure the paragraph to flow better. I’m not a pro writer or even a huge fic writer but…please…ty…
