If any of my posts blow up please let it be this one:
Australia is currently petitioning to make it that all gender confirming surgeries for transgender individuals are covered by Medicare. This is absolutely huge as surgeries are super expensive even with private health insurance.
It doesn't ask for an address or phone number or anything so I think anyone in the world can sign for it? But I'm not entirely sure.
EDIT: yeah you gotta be a citizen, so if you're outside the country, if you could reblog this to reach more Australians, this would be amazing!

That’s Louis Rossman, a repair technician and YouTuber, who went viral recently for railing against Apple. Apple purposely charges a lot for repairs and you either have to pay up or buy a new device. That’s because Apple withholds necessary tools and information from outside repair shops. And to think, we were just so close to change.

PLEASE READ. WILL NOT HURT TO AND FORWARD. Kids are putting Drano, tin foil, and a little water in plastic drink bottles and capping it up - leaving it on lawns, in mail boxes, in gardens, on driveways etc. just waiting for you to pick it up intending to put it in the rubbish, but you’ll never make it!!!
If the bottle is picked up, and the bottle is shaken even just a little - in about 30 seconds or less it builds up enough gas which then explodes with enough force to remove some your extremities. The liquid that comes out is boiling hot as well. Don’t pick up any plastic bottles that may be lying in your yards or in the gutter, etc. Pay attention to this. A plastic bottle with a cap. A little Drano. A little water. A small piece of foil. Disturb it by moving it; and BOOM!! No fingers left and other serious effects to your face, eyes, etc. Please ensure that everyone that may not have email access are also informed of this.

I’m a very messy person who tries VERY HARD to keep a clean home. It’s probably ADHD. Anyway, the best advice I ever saw about it was:
“Instead of changing your habits to keep clean, look at where the clutter is. Now put a bin under it.”
I tend to remove my socks at the computer and then there’s a mountain of socks on the floor? I put a small bin and now it looks tidy. There are piles of junk mail on the table near my front door because I can never bring them to the recycling bin? I put a smaller recycling bin there. Etc etc.
Another trick that helps me immensely are BOXES.
The bathroom sink is covered in small bottles and all sorts of products? I got small plastic crates and I put them over the toilet lid, one for my stuff, the other for my roomate’s. The linen closet is just piles of things that fall when you open the door? Baby I just got a bunch of baskets and I will separate them by function.
I have baskets and small boyxes for: my cleaning products; my bird’s toys and stuff; my workout accessories; my meds and daily skincare products; my tools; and pretty much all my art stuff. 
It still takes some effort to keep everything in its place, but having everything in a box still looks tons better than having everything on the counter, and it’s so better for the mental health.

to anyone who wants to watch the mitchells vs. the machines & is prone to flashing lights: PLEASE be careful. this movie is incredibly good but it does have a lot of segments that involve strobing lights and bright colors that may be hard to watch if you’re photosensitive. if you’re going to watch it and you struggle w those issues look out for any fight scenes/scenes involving the robots because those are where they tend to pop up the most. again this movie is REALLY good but if you’re going to watch it, be aware that it involves a lot of flashing lights and be on the watch for those scenes in particular

Just a tip!
If you're in a place, mentally or physically, where you only have the spoons to take care of yourself in one way, I HIGHLY recommend taking care of your teeth.
Acne goes away. You can always start working out later. Stink is easily fixed with a single shower. Hair can be brushed and cut.
Issues with teeth are expensive, painful, and overall suck. Your teeth health can have an impact on other things, too, like jaw issues.
If you're faced with the choice of either taking a shower or brushing your teeth, I highly recommend brushing your teeth. Whatever tools help you to do that, disposable floss picks/toothbrushes, kids fun-flavored toothpaste, soft bristled brushes, anything is better than nothing.

COVID is slowly becoming a "third world" disease. While first world countries are hoarding vaccines, having doses for populations many times their size, third world countries can't get any because pharma companies want to sell to the first world countries first. Even then, first world countries will receive them first. While rich countries recover from COVID, they will forget about the pandemic while many other countries live the absolute worst moment of the pandemic without being able to vaccinate their population.

hello! i saw that you sometimes give adhd tips. for me, summer is one of the worst time for adhd because i just do nothing all day, even when there's cool stuff i want to do, and then i feel bad for wasting time. any tips for helping manage this? any help is appreciated :)
Ohhh boy I can do what I can but I'll point out my ADHD-managing skills are FAR from perfect lol.
I didn't want this to be super long, so this is the summarized version of some stuff that works for me. If anyone wants more detail just ask!
1) Don't bother with the regular work cycle of wake-early sleep-early. If you, like me, work best from midnight to 4am, work from midnight to 4am.
2) SLEEP. Yeah I just said to work at weird late times if you work well at weird times but that doesn't mean stop sleeping. Rearrange your sleep schedule for when you want to be working. EG In the best case, I sleep twice during the day - once from 5am to 11am, and once from 8pm to 11pm, because my brain Does Not Like doing anything resembling thinking at these times lol so that's when I try to sleep.
3) Stop frEAKING planning stuff as if you're a neurotypical!!!! For real. You have ADHD, it's not going away, so plan stuff around that. Pick 2 or 3 things per day and stick to them (EG: 2 study subjects and 1 type of clothing for laundry.). I used to plan stuff like "oh I'll do a bajillion hours of studying followed by a run and then I'll clean my whoooole house" and then it would inevitably fail and I'd feel bad.
4) BIG WATER + FLAVOURED WATER. Forgetting to drink water is a big issue but also it affects everything from Awakeness^TM to mood to everything. Buying a big bottle of flavoured water every day can remind you to drink it. Big = harder to misplace/forget, Flavour = brain go :) instead of >:( I have @enby-life to thank for their post on flavoured water that inspired me to buy strawberry water and I am one high drayted human now lmao. I always buy the same 1.5l bottle of strawberry water and it helps a lot.
5) GO TO THERAPY. Yes it's scary yes it can be expensive yes it's WORTH IT WHEN YOU FIND THE RIGHT THERAPIST. (u can find a therapist in your country and specific area here: LINK)
6) Don't plan time for work. Plan stuff. Planning to do Xhrs on This subject and Yhrs on That subject never worked for me. Instead I'll plan something specific to do over the course of the day, and something that I can easily measure. EG: Not "do 2hrs of work on Magnetism, do laundry", but "make notes on 20 of the released Magnetism slides, wash dark t-shirts". Specific and easily-measured things on a plan make them easier to tick off and therefore better for making your brain go :).
