DELISTED: NIGEL HIGGINS

Nigel Higgins was once a Punisher copycat from the UK, going by Outlaw. However, he came to regret this life path, and eventually came to seek a way to resurrect his victims. This latter story happened in the pages of Contest of Champions Vol. 1, which was the companion comic book for the launch of Marvel Contest of Champions (“MCOC”), the mobile game. Nevertheless, across several years of chances, Summoners (the name for people who play MCOC) continued to leave Nigel among the lowest-ranked characters on the MCOC Wishlist. He will be footnoted as a good obscure champ to pair with a Punisher-related character like Jigsaw, Punisher (War Machine), or Frankencastle.

Volcana, Titania's friend and Molecule Man's flame, is relatively small-beans compared to the majority of the MCOC Wishlist entries, and Summoners voted her down across four to five years on the list. She has been delisted and added to the Molecule Man as an obscure pairing.

Gun-R, a relatively obscure character from the MCOC comic in 2015, was never well-received in Summoner voting on the MCOC Wishlist and has thus been delisted and will be added as an “Obscure Pairing” to the listing for White Fox.

Zadkiel has been delisted from the MCOC Wishlist after receiving a poor reception over a number of years on the list. He'll be added to Danny Ketch (the blue-flame Ghost Rider)'s listing as a lesser-known champ to release at the same time. Zadkiel's influence over Ketch has been replaced by his ongoing empowerment by the Spirit of Corruption

The Captain (aka Captain ☠☠☠☠) from Nextwave, has been demoted on the MCOC Wishlist. He was probably never a sufficiently major Marvel character to enjoy a spot among the top 600-ish candidates for MCOC, but when the Nextwave comics were a fresh memory, it made a kind of sense. Despite positive critical reception and becoming a cult classic, leading to feature toys by Marvel Legends three years ago, the Nextwave title was not successful in terms of sales when it was released, and this Captain hasn't seen much relevance since. Because of his place in our lore, he will remain on the Wishlist as an “Obscure Pairing” footnote on Boom-Boom's entry.
