I'm sure you've all seen me going pretty feral since all of this started. One of the last things my friend told me was "Make sure the world sees this. They need to know what's happening." I feel like its my personal responsibility to talk about it. Seeing all of the most heinous videos as they were coming out in real time, and then seeing people supporting it or denying that it's happening at all, was beyond infuriating. I've watched them come up with excuse after excuse, justification after justification, and when still people don't buy it now they're just denying civilians are being murdered at all. They're trying to change history before our eyes. If you show them the video that Hamas terrorists even posted themselves in celebration they deny it's even real.

I had to take a step back and remind myself that the people who are doing this are doing the legwork for Hamas and they want you to be upset. The majority of the world does not support terrorism and these people are trying to change the narrative online so more people are sympathetic to them. I have seen beautiful and massive rallies for Israel that dwarf the size of the pro-Hamas rallies. At my own university we had over a thousand attendees to our Israel vigil, and the pro-hamas counter protestors had maybe 24 people. Terrorist sympathizers are just really loud online, and the people doing the real work who are actual activists aren't sitting on their computer giving the worst takes imaginable. Normal people are not denying what they see and laughing at murder and the fact that you're sad about it. They're just an insane and heartless minority.

Seems like a good time to remind people that the phrase "from the river to the sea" - while apparently popular on this hellsite, is basically a call for the total eradication of not just the Israeli state (and by that I don't mean the government, I mean EVERYTHING) but of every Jew in that area.

SO. If I see it on your blog? Bye. I do not trust you to have anything even remotely approaching a nuanced take to this fucking tragedy.

I really miss being a kid and going to Jewish day school and being surrounded by Jews. I miss it so much. Whenever something horrible happened to Jews anywhere in the world, we'd all come together. We'd have assemblies, light candles together, pray together, comfort each other. It just feels so alienating being a Jew in a gentile world, being surrounded by goyim who ignorantly say "hope you had a great weekend!" or are not ignorant but actively cheer on the massacre of my people. I miss being able to go to school and know I'd be surrounded by people who knew my pain, who supported me. Now I just have to carry on with my week like my whole world hasn't been shattered. I just want to be with my people.

These are intended to induce horror, don't help Hamas spread their message.
