“wake the hell up.” with a simple raise of his hand, a cooling splash of water finding it’s way to taehyung’s peacefully resting face. it was almost laughable, how he seemed so harmless sleeping like this. that couldn’t have been farther from the truth, as moon has come to know. “i don’t have the time to baby you again tonight. how bad is the damage?”

tae was sleeping very pleasantly before he was rudely awoken by none other than his healer, gasping at the water that was slung at his face. he sits up quickly, spluttering and swearing, flicking the water on his fingertips back at moon while the rest rose off of him as steam. “what the fuck. i was sleeping peacefully, why did you wake me up like that? a gentle nudge would have been enough. i’m already going to die after tonight’s match.”

he glares at the other male, but he’s the perfect picture of a mess. his hair is ruffled, his headband had fallen off in his sleep, there are bruises purpling over his legs and arms, and a scratch along his cheek. tae had been focused down tonight, losing the match and unfortunately pushing him into a bad mood. “probably one of the worst ones yet. people are really testing the boundaries between legal shots and fouls lately. fuck them. there’s a lot of bruises though, and i swear to god the next time i see any of them i’m going to ruin them--”

cutting himself off with a huff, he glances at moonsik’s unimpressed look and settles down, not wanting to burn his room to ash. “are you going to help me or what?”

it was hardly ever a true pro bending match if taehyung doesn’t have some sort of injury by the end of it, due to his vigor and aggressiveness in the ring. today is certainly not any different, taehyung’s entire body full of aches and sore as fuck, but luckily he has someone who can fix that. the brunette hates that he’s practically consorting with a royal who doesn’t seem to give a shit about him, and is exactly the type of person taehyung tends to fight.

moonsik is just lucky he has a polar bear dog that tae loves very much. princess is the only thing saving moon from his wrath.

tae makes his way to the water bender’s room and flops down on the empty bed, waiting for his healer to return from wherever the fuck he was. “he sure is taking his fuckin’ time.” the fire bender grumbles, kicking a foot up huffily, blue flames appearing before dispersing quickly. the boy’s injuries end up pulling him into unconsciousness soon after that though, passed out on moonsik’s bed like it was his own.

god, the last thing taehyung wanted was to be partnered up for a project with someone he knew he wasn’t going to get along with. but here he is, ambling down the hallways at the slowest pace he could manage without seeming like he was lost, towards the dorm of his hopefully very temporary partner. he was really just stalling for any amount of time he could so that he didn’t have to face his competition and ultimately work with him.

honestly, taehyung really does not like to know about the lives of pro benders aside from those on his own team, mostly because they -- so far -- tend to be amongst the higher class that he dislikes oh so much. tae doesn’t know much about tsuneo but he does know he’s the president’s son, which already sits wrong with the brunette.

it certainly doesn’t help that they’re both fire benders, practically sworn enemies at this point in the ring.

eventually he makes it to the room he was heading to, glaring at the door for a few moments before finally knocking. except he didn’t stop knocking. not until someone comes to answer the door. “c’mon, i don’t have all day! let’s get this over with because i know you don’t want to be doing this just as much as i do.”

when he found out he was a bender his life changed like super drastically and he got into a lot of fights

he’s a firm believer in justice and that everyone is equal so he tends to be that person that would stand up to bullies

look he doesn’t hate royals/upper class citizens, but if they look down on the lower class like himself he’s going to say something ( or just use violence )

he won’t treat royals/upper class ppl any differently than he would anyone else ( someone put him in his place pls <3 i’d love a good fight plot where he gets wrecked )

he likes to think of himself as a hero, but he can easily cause more harm than good

some basic plot lines:

a royal that is not going to take taehyung’s bullshit, and will not hesitate to fight back

someone that doesn’t encourage his behavior but certainly doesn’t stop him, maybe heals him up sometimes ( so pref a water bender? )

a dynamic duo situation, there’s gotta be Someone that thinks similarly!!

pref another pro bender to have a competitive relationship with

a nonbender that tae really tries to look out for, tho it might be a little annoying for them

although tae is often head first into fights, he is a curious person and would like to learn more about the other nations cultures, as well as his own, since he’s from republic city and not the fire nation

at the end of the day, tae is usually completely wiped out and just looking for someone to be clingy to

some sort of tutor because he tends to be hopeless when it comes to staying ahead in classes ( rip you tho, he probably flirts or gets angry and burns things )
