This guy

So there’s this guy who told me he likes me. Well, not out of the blue. We bonded over random things like Hamilton and drawing. And when I mean random, I just mentioned it out of the blue and BAM! He fucking knows about it and talks to me about it. 

This dude, who didn’t pressure me to do anything. He let me lead the convos, although sometimes it drives me insane because sometimes I don’t know what to say. But he’s fine with it. Fine with me staying silent while scribbling or maybe typing. This guy stayed up late with me, on-call, when I was studying for my exams but keep on getting distracted. This guy, who sang me to sleep when my thoughts were too loud. This guy who was okay with me not telling him, explicitly, what I feel. Who is fine with me sending him poetry I find on Pinterest to explain what I actually feel. Who answers my random ass math questions I found on the internet. Who accepted my flaws and told me he likes (more than like) anyway. Who reminds me of sunsets.

He is like the sun. But unlike most suns, I’ve met he’s the one who lowers the heat just so I won’t burn.

Sakuatsu trying to be friends again post-breakup because it hurts not talking to you, but it also hurts talking to you. Its a tug of war between staying as friends and asking for a second chance. Its the unsent messages, the empty feeling despite talking because "Im supposed to be over you. You look like youre doing good. Maybe im ruining your peace. I shouldn't have broke up with you. Maybe we shouldve stayed as friends. I want you back. You said I'll get over you fast but I'm still waiting for you to come back."
