DILUC PROTECTING A YOUNG THIEF FROM THE KNIGHTS.
Tumblr media
A celebrity in Mondstadt all for the wrong reasons, this young person was. Every store owner knew their face, every store owner knew of their devious deeds, and every store owner had been robbed more than once. Why had Diluc gone to such lengths to protect them from the severe punishment which was awaiting them so?
Was it because they lacked a satisfactory guardian and he was hoping he would suffice enough to point them in the right direction? Was it because they had absolutely nothing to their name because they lost everything so young? He honestly wasn't sure. Probably. Many other reasons, too.
Not to mention it pissed off the knights to an extent which was almost amusing.
Charles crossed his arms from behind the bar, a quiet laugh escaping his lips as he observed the two knights dragging a h/c-haired teen through the tavern doors, the three of them clearly peeved. "What've they done now?"
The knight switched his agitated gaze to the man. "Stealing. Yet again."
"I wasn't even stealing!" the h/c-haired teen protested loudly, violently shrugging the hold of the knight off their shoulder, then proceeding to pry off the hold on their forearm from the other. Quickly turning around, they pointed directly at the knight whom had spoken. "This is exactly why Master Diluc doesn't deem the knights suitable for the titles that they have been given!"
"Because you were caught stealing from Marjorie?" Charles asked, causing them to turn around to him in a flash. The prominent smile on his face agitated them to the max.
"Not you too, Charles!" they scoffed. "I wasn't even stealing! They just, like, assumed I was going to steal before I could pay for it... Besides, who the hell would steal from Marjorie? What would I actually steal of worth from her? A- a glass ball?"
"We saw you walk away with it."
"Lies!"
Wasn't exactly sure if it would prove beneficial or not with their unpredictable nature, but he had decided to teach them how to pour drinks in the tavern. Forcing them to act as some sort of waitress from time to time, too, and paying them for their time in "training". Just so they have some money to spend, and knowing it would class as some experience for a future job somewhere else.
A future job somewhere else which never actually came to be, as he kept them employed at the Angel's Share anyway.
Jean has approached him asking why he is protecting this thief many times, and every time he has stated that he is trying to change them out of those ways, saying that them getting taken in by the knights would hinder that progress. She trusts him, and wholeheartedly hopes that he succeeds. As much as she knows the reason behind the thievery, she is still the Acting Grandmaster, and it's a problem.
Has forced them to apologize to store owners personally on numerous occasions. It is a very... embarrassing experience.
"I am sorry Flora..." the apology was extremely stiff, and questionably genuine. They could not look the girl in the eyes, constantly averting them elsewhere. Peering at Diluc in the near distance, leaning against a wall whilst watching everything go down, they noticed his unamused expression. Well, he always seemed unamused. But more so right now. "...For tripping over your flowers as I ran away from the knights."
Flora's eyes had widened, leaning forwards. "Woah, I never thought I would hear an apology today--! I'm glad you're trying to fix your wrongdoings, [name]. It's going to be difficult but I support you."
"Ah, thank you.... and sorry again."
Was it the apology or the impassive stare of Master Diluc which had caused them to sweat so much?

SATIS OCULIS. 𓂃⭑ including: shenhe.
Tumblr media
You had looked to the black-haired girl. "Your eyes are very pretty."
The girl's beautifully opal eyes had widened at the abrupt comment, and she had averted her eyes from yours, angling downwards towards the floor below. Her voice as she had responded was much quieter than before. "Thank you."
When you had informed her of your loss of way, she agreed to assist you in getting down the mountain. You observed as she let go of the long polearm which was previously held securely in her hand, and as it dissipated into nothing before it could hit the floor.
As the girl with twin buns, whom you knew as "Shenhe", walked past you, you had reached out to hold her hand with a smile. Once again, her gemmed eyes had widened considerably, and she stopped in her tracks, slowly turning her head so that she could look down at your hands. Her hand, in which you were holding with both of yours.
You noticed her stare. "Do you not like that? I can stop if you'd like."
There was a pause before her reply. "It's fine."
Then she had continued walking, you following alongside attempting to raise conversation, yet ultimately failing because of her short responses. She lacked conversational skills, but she seemed to be trying her best. She had an air which had made you feel safe, you didn't need to worry about the surrounding monsters for as long as Shenhe was with you.
"If you ever decide to come to Liyue Harbor," you told her as the two of you prepared to depart ways. "Just know I will be there. You will forever be welcome, as long as I remember you. And I don't think I will ever forget those pretty eyes."

ESCAPING AN ARRANGED MARRIAGE TO BE WITH HER. 𓂃⭑ including : mitsuri.
Tumblr media
mitsuri kanroji.
She had tried to the very best of her ability to hide the crushing anguish which was devouring her from the inside out, yet ultimately, she had let it slip through her facade. Many had noticed the lack of usual smiles from the Love Pillar, yet nobody had the courage to ask the reason for the absence of her customary radiance.
Her romance with you was alike something out of a fairy tale, and she had cherished every fleeting second of it which passed. Were you the one? She had surely thought so. Yet her hope was shattered when you had appeared at her door unannounced one evening, expression solemn as if you had just witnessed the most horrific scene.
She had inquired the reason for your sudden appearance, and the reason why you had looked so shaken. It was then did you bestow upon her the news that you had just received yourself, the news of your arranged engagement to one that isn't Mitsuri.
It had been no longer than a week since you had introduced to Mitsuri the news of your engagement, and it was almost as if you had gone completely off the radar ever since. She hadn't heard from you, and neither had any of the other hashira. It was strange for her, not hearing from you in so long. You two had promised to stay in touch, were you not willing to keep your end of that agreement? Suppose, you were now engaged. Maybe it was awkward, she thought, staying in contact with an ex lover. She understood. Though that didn't mean it didn't hurt.
She had only just gotten home from a mission shortly prior, and as she had folded the various layers of the beautiful pink floral kimono over her body, her lime gaze had been planted directly down at the discarded uniform below her. She had been sure to lay it out onto the floor as neatly as possible in order to preserve its presentable condition until she could hang it up.
Just as she was fixing her tri-braids did she hear several hard knocks at the main door, head quickly lifting when the noises had reached her ears. She turned her gaze to the side, who could this be? She hadn't known many that would knock for her so aggressively. Rengoku or Uzui, maybe?
As she had opened the door, the last sight she had expected to behold was the sight of you stood on her doorstep, out of breath and panting hard. Hunched forwards breathing heavily, hand planted firmly on the panel beside the shoji to prevent you from falling forwards.
Her pupils dilated at the sight, and she had felt her heartbeat start to boom much heavier in her chest from just laying her eyes upon your worrying state. She quickly jumped forwards, holding your hunched upper body so that you couldn't fall. A worried call of your name escaped her lips. "A-Are you okay?!"
Having sprinted to the Love Estate without any prior planning of what you were to possibly say when you got there, you had choked on your own lack of words momentarily. Yet in a split second of frustration at your own silence, you had shouted the first coherent sentence which had come to your head, regardless of the context.
"Mitsuri, I choose you!"
Her worried eyes had widened. "W-What are you saying?"
Despite your body being physically exhausted, you had stood up straight, lifting your tired arms so that you could hold Mitsuri's face in your hands. Her expression was of pure bewilderment, and you understood the reason why. Your appearance and words must have been the most unexpected. "I will not let my family choose my lifelong partner for me, not when I have already found love somewhere else."
"B-b-b-b-b-but-!"
You had allowed your overwhelmed self to laugh, and during that laugh, Mitsuri had witnessed the pure, unrestrained devotion present in your eyes as you had looked into her own. "It took some work, and an awful not of disagreements, but I have managed to break the engagement. My heart belongs to you, I will not allow anyone else ownership of it."
She hadn't known how to react, and she had stood there, stationary, for a good moment. You had been able to decipher the exact moment your words made sense in her mind when tears had began to fall.
"Only if you'll have me, of course."
Her balled hands lifted to wipe away her tears, yet they had just kept coming. Presenting her innermost emotions for everybody present to see in a long stream of tears and wailing. "I-I'm so happy. You said- You said you loved me. I'm- I'm so happy! I love you too! So much! Of course I'll have you, as long as you'll have me."
