I found out that in the official drama cd, Sebastian actually performed something in Chinese opera! I’m so glad😭I always loved watching that. Though there’s no indication which act he performed, but he used a sword later in the fight with the villains🤯he does a Chinese sword act…I can only imagine how spectacular he’d be😭

Anyways I actually picked a role in Chinese opera for him: Wu Song, who is a hero famous for lots of deeds, but most prominently because of him single handedly killing a tiger who’s been eating travelers in the mountains, when Wu Song himself is very drunk. The act is to show how brave and wonderful a hero Wu Song is. Seb could so hate the story but do the act so well🙂‍↕️Especially the black and white costume fits him so well!!! It’s very handsome🥺though Wu Song’s weapon is a long staff instead of a sword, which Seb used in the drama cd. Just look at how cool this character is, I love it and I just want Seb to dress like this😭

Anyways I just love blending some authentic traditional culture with kuro, because I think Yana’s not doing very properly in canon with the Japanese’s highly sexualize stereotypes of Chinese women, compared to her devotion to the English culture(though not accurate too, but surely more emphasized and done much more reaserch about). Hope this post brings people a little more info about the drama cd and Sebastian’s theatrical talents!👐

I mean he can kick so high he’d be perfect for martial arts on stage🙀bravo

sketches for Ciel and Sebastian in Chinese Ming dynasty style. I wanted to see how they’d fit in ancient robes…

their hairstyles won’t fit in with the historical accurate look but I tried🥲

ciel’s look refers to the protagonist of A Dream in Red Mansions (all time best ancient Chinese literature ngl; I see a parallel in ciel and him)

There’s not really a demon’s outfit in Chinese myths(in fact not even the equivalent concept of the devil)so I give Seb a casual wear for officals (but he got a crow embroidery rather than the proper patterns for officials for identification(?)

P2 is our boy ciel pre-contract…

Not sure why I made these but I wanted different outfits for them and I like Chinese histroy🫢

A dadbastian(?) from a sebaciel novel my friend wrote many, many years ago( this seb has to take care of a child who has a mysterious link to Ciel,,but it's not their child). Seb in this novel goes by Mr. Henry. So nostalgic remembering that beautifully written story, therefore this

also a rough portrait practice?? I have to learn anatomy better..

I want to dress him in a tweed suit with a hat, maybe next time... 🦭

In my friend’s novel, Seb and Ciel are a happily married couple since the story begins. Ciel found a baby and decided to take care of it, which means for Seb, instead of butlering, he parenting. He takes care of the step son entirely for the sake of Ciel (for reason which I can’t explain fully unless I translate the novel to English). It’s safe to say that this child is of no relevance to Seb. And being Seb he is performing perfectly in the role of a step-parent even though he considers not very much of the child. Reliable, yet detached.
