The dumbest discourse to ever appear in history. (All respect to Sarah Waters and zero respect to any one that argues women didn't act on their desires.)
“Lesbian historians might agonize over whether women in the past had sex with each other, but if I want my lesbians in the 1860s to have sex, then they just do.”
— Sarah Waters, in ed. by Kaye Mitchell, Contemporary Critical Perspectives: Sarah Waters (via timerunning)

I received your heartfelt message and only regret not having answered sooner. As you know, I haven't been active on here for quite a while, and will probably continue to be absent on this blog in particular because I find life to be too busy to maintain it–but in any case, I will keep my inbox open for any word from you, should it come at any point in the future–near or far. Please know that you rest in my thoughts throughout the many phases of life, and that I still cherish the countless phrases that have passed between us. I find that true friendship does not diminish despite separation by distance and time. I hope for us to talk again soon.
In the meantime, all of my best of wishes,
C.
