this probably contradicts canon but whatever. so s2 scott would have radiation posioning if it weren't for pix being a nerd. (i was tempted to send that without context because it would be funny but eh ill elaborate)

scott's adventures brought him to a lot of places, both ones thriving and ones long abandoned. the most memorable of that latter category is the ruins of the 12 empires, where (as the name suggests) 12 kingdoms once stood, before all falling in just a single day, one of the most catastrophic disasters the world had ever seen. he was warned before he ventured in there to not get too close to the grimlands (the site of the explosion that first set off the rest of the destruction), as the land was horribly cursed, and those who went there often returned horribly sick. when he got there, however, there wasn't any magic in the place (he'd had his new eye for a while, by then), so he assumed that the curse was just some urban legend and was about to continue on when he was stopped by a historian who had also been exploring the ruins. pix explained that while the grimlands weren't cursed, they were still /very/ radioactive and therefore very dangerous, so yeah, he should probably not go in there. cue them hanging out and exploring the ruins together, which i low-key wanna make some comics about but we'll see if i have the motivation. for now i am simply placing this idea in view of the general public.

I’ve been thinking about food too much so here’s some s2 cooking headcanons-

Scott can’t cook very well, but he can absolutely bake. He has a massive sweet tooth and often gives away baked goods as a sign of friendship

Surprisingly, unlike most cow hybrids and others like him, Jimmy is not a vegetarian. It’s not often he eats meat though, he prefers fish. He’s a pretty decent cook. Most of the stuff he makes is obviously simple trail foods, but he does it well enough

Naturally, Sausage is an amazing cook. Like look at him and tell me this man isn’t a 5 star chef

Lizzie doesn’t even know what cooking is. She kills things and eats them raw. Why on earth would she expend extra energy cooking

False is a bad cook—her food is often edible at best, bodily-harm-inducing at worst. Her friends are all too polite to tell her that it sucks so they eat it and pretend they’re enjoying it. False knows they’re faking, but hasn’t called them out yet because she thinks it’s just a little bit funny

Pix is actually a pretty good cook. Most of the things he makes are simple and easy, but they have a very comfortable home-cooked quality to them that makes you feel warm and safe

Despite her potions being iffy, Shelby is actually a really good cook. Her favorite food is mushroom soup, or stuffed crimson fungus. Just in general she REALLY likes mushrooms

Fwhip eats bugs and rocks for fun. He tries to feed his friends sticks and calls it “goblin cuisine”. No one has called him out on this

The Mesa's ruler is a curse that is inflicted upon any ruler who dares to live in the mesa. The curse is said to turn the ruler shorter and sometimes into a living inanimate object.

This curse started with the mad king of Mezalea who ran away from the Mesa some time ago. Nobody quite knew what happened after. Some claim he became a god after eating the same orb his wife did, some say he was tricked by sirens into the water, drowning him.

Either way, due to the fact he never quite had a proper funeral, his soul is still tied to the mesa, and being quite unrested, decided to inflict a curse upon anyone who ruled the mesa to be the same height or even shorter than him and possibly turn them non-human as well. At least that's what the locals tell you.

Stories of tall, strong rulers turning smaller and smaller after they conquered the mesa were spread across the world, one story wrote about how a king in the mesa turned into a small sapling tree. Another told a queen, who after gaining the throne, started to turn into an inchling.

Thankfully, Jimmy wasn't cursed; he was perfectly fine! although sometimes he felt as if he was shrinking in size and his clothes were starting to become ill-fitting, even if it was tailored specifically for him. It could be a coincidence! Maybe the tailor did a bad job at measuring him, and maybe it's because the world is just getting taller! It wasn't like he had the curse, right?

I hope there's a scene where fwhip and Lizzie are being lawyers and it starts off with them being calm and collected. They're great at getting the crowd's attention and have quite convincing storytelling. Then 15 minutes later they're insulting eachother and acting like kids.
