What can I say more ? Fight the injustice, unfairness and theft. Also, AI can not create art,no matter how it looks. It’s not it’s essance.

There’s a protest going on against AI art over on artstation, so I feel like now is the time for me to make a statement on this issue! 

I wholeheartedly support the ongoing protest against AI art. Why? Because my artwork is included in the datasets used to train these image generators without my consent. I get zero compensation for the use of my art, even though these image generators cost money to use, and are a commercial product. 

Musicians are not being treated the same way. Stability has a music generator that only uses royalty free music in their dataset. Their words: “Because diffusion models are prone to memorization and overfitting, releasing a model trained on copyrighted data could potentially result in legal issues.” Why is the work of visual artists being treated differently?

Many have compared image generators to human artists seeking out inspiration. Those two are not the same. My art is literally being fed into these generators through the datasets, and spat back out of a program that has no inherent sense of what is respectful to artists. As long as my art is literally integrated into the system used to create the images, it is commercial use of my art without my consent.

Until there is an ethically sourced database that compensates artists for the use of their images, I am against AI art. I also think platforms should do everything they can to prevent scraping of their content for these databases. 

Artists, speak out against this predatory practice! Our art should not be exploited without our consent, and we deserve to be compensated when our art is exploited for commercial use.

I didn't know that comic,but if it is intended for kids, props! My parents were too out of touch and irresponsible to put an all-knowing-ideal-beings act convincingly,but oh my,they tried! I mean,not by acting wise,but by screaming and kicking that they are. And many adults DO behave like that which leads kids to discover what guy discovered in that comic when he was grown up himself. Discover that too late and be shocked as much as they were when they found out Santa is not real ( :( ) Adults truly should stop lieing to children about what being an adult means.

I never guessed that in my adulthood, I’d be relating to Calvin’s parents as much as I do in this comic.

Because damn … Calvin’s dad was so right.

But I still like lemon-squash. I call this growth or development because I have been enriched: where I formerly had only one pleasure, I now have two. But if I had to lose the taste for lemon-squash before I acquired the taste for hock, that would not be growth but simple change. I now enjoy Tolstoy and Jane Austen and Trollope as well as fairy tales and I call that growth: if I had had to lose the fairy tales in order to acquire the novelists, I would not say that I had grown but only that I had changed.”

I can see it as the ONE and ONLY real reason to take a challange, since I doubt with his emotional condition and with his lack of ambition and striving for success, he would care. But to annoy lower ranks ? Especially Akaza who is so easly provocated ? That’s a new “source of emotions” to at least observe. Interesting, no explaining what Muzan did with Akaza’s complaining. Just finished databook 2 of Kimetsu no Yaiba. I could read it on the wiki earlier, it’s like,very easy to find and quoted from there of course,  but it’s not the same as reading it in the real book. It even funnier somehow.

Towa said she will try to master Zanseiken even if it’s cursed. That was what everyone suspected, but she is just saying that. Just because. She is not giving a reason, telling her logic behind that, besides “ I want to no matter the consequences”. If Setsuna or Moroha said something similar, she would go crazy. There is literally no reason for her to use that if she has knowledge about losing her kon. She wanted to find a weapon that will make her stronger to fight Kirinmaru, not something that will make her vulnerable, so...what ?

How to Survive a Toxic Fandom

It always breaks my heart when people stop loving things due to the behavior of other “fans”. So here’s my advice for continuing to love what you love:

Find the good ones. Even if it doesn’t always seem like it, there will almost always be some people in the fandom who aren’t horrible. Some may even be in groups of like-minded fans who are sick of the drama. Follow only them and none of the toxic people. Don’t limit yourself to one website,either; some sites may have all the nice fans and some may have all the toxic fans.

Avoid the tag,avoid the drama. If the fandom is especially toxic, and you’re already following the few people you actually like, don’t do searches for it. If you absolutely must search, here’s a tip: search the title in a language other than what the jerks are speaking. This is especially true for things that originated in other countries, because they were made for the people living there,and those people understand the cultural context that foreign fans often misunderstand and have dumb fights about.

Block your haters. If someone toxic tries to interact with you, block them. If you get mean anon messages, turn off anon messages. And if someone makes you feel unsafe, report them.

If you can filter it out,by all means do. Not all fandom spaces give people the option to not see things they don’t want to see, but if you’re on a site that does, you should be using that feature. This is especially true when you’re looking for fanfiction, as the tagging system on Ao3 makes this fairly easy.

Remember that a work and its fans aren’t the same thing. Just because some/most of the fandom is awful doesn’t mean the thing you love is bad, and just because other fans are bad people doesn’t mean you’re also a bad person.  

 Remember that it’s possible to enjoy something without having to interact with other fans.

Rin enters the Sesshoumaru inner circle...

....and what ? I am very interested in that short period of time when Rin was adjusting to travelling with Sesshomaru and Jaken. I mean, how Jaken reacted when he realised she is staying for good ? Did he try to think out loud in Sesshoumarus name or he was just speechless ? Did he threw a tantrum ? Did he try to protest ? I adore Jaken’s relationship with Rin,but at the start he surely was not on board, he didn’t like her, was jelous and had years of prejudice under his belt.  How Jaken and Rin talked ? Rin was mute at the time. What makes me curious the most was if Sess ever properly introduced himself to Rin ? Or she just knew who he was and what his name was from Jaken ? I think the second option is more probable, but it’s a little disapointing. What was the moment Rin regained her voice ? What was a breaking point for her, when she felt safe enough to speak ?How Sess reacted to finally hear her and know her name ?
