DNI Reminder

This is a reminder post that will be put up periodically of my DNI for this blog.

If your blog regularly posts or shares content which is characterized by any of the following:

-Fatal/snuff content (This includes implied scenarios)

-Non-consensual sexual material of any type (this includes any sexualized scenario which involves minors or other groups who can’t consent).

-Is exclusively a sex/kink blog (There is currently no sexual content of any type on this blog, and none of it is meant to be taken that way)

Despite my DNI being fairly explicit and there being a big caps-locked warning in every post’s tags to check the DNI before interacting, I am still getting the odd slew of reblogs to pages which are filled with material I do not want to be associated with or come into contact with. I unfortunately had my PTSD triggered earlier today when I was doing a check on my activity and was suddenly confronted with a page that had a lot of death and torture vore stuff untagged and so my filters did not replace it with a warning. I understand a lot of people probably unconsciously just maneuver Tumblr’s many odd corners and don’t realize they could even remotely be doing harm, but I urge people to realize that it very well can, especially in cases of PTSD sufferers.

My personal experience and why the DNI exists in this specific form: When I see images which mix/conflate things I enjoy (safe vore, G/t, etc, etc) with death, violence, and especially abusive treatment and r*pe I have a very high likelihood of experiencing panic attacks and flashbacks to traumatic events in my life. And it takes hours to recover from to be functional again. It has literally ruined my day before–less so now that I’ve distanced myself from posting this kind of stuff, but especially back two years ago when I was drawing and writing with the safe vore and G/t fluff content. Back then it was common for some triggering event to take place every week or so and the high frequency of this led to me completely abandoning several accounts and ceasing all art of that topic (with many people especially in the furry sphere of the fandom literally intentionally pestered me and did what sure as hell seemed like “attempted grooming” to try and make me do snuff content, showering with what was meant to be praise and compliments and trying to chat/rp and be friends followed up by a big wheedling show of begging for certain off-limits art–being told off strongly–fake apologies and then repeating the process with even more skeevy angles and slippery slope-type attempts. It was incredibly creepy and gross and probably constituted psychological abuse in and of itself).

Please please please, if you have any heart at all and realize your blog falls under these conditions, unfollow, cease reblogging, and DNI. Respect the DNI and respect that just because “it’s vore/fetish so all bets are off” is a bad take, and other people deserve to have their non-violent form of the genre unsullied and not constantly getting crossed with the violent forms. Realize it’s here, but it’s not for you.

I am very pleased to say that my posted DNI reminders seem to have worked, and I’ve re-entered a stage of stability where I feel I can draw and write what I like w/o fear of misinterpretation or shame.

That said, I’d like to warn those who follow this blog for G/t content only that a little snippet of very snuggly safe vore is upcoming, strictly because I felt quite good about it.

Found some loose drawing paper to slap a thick layer of wax and ink on. So obviously a scene of discovering a big, giant snake monster in the woods occurred. “The Incredibly Cheesy Monster Serial--Whoopsie”

Daen's line of sight was at the oddly crunchy ground before his feet. "...Potato chips." He knelt. "They're potato chips." "What flavor?" His assistant smirked "It doesn't matter," Daen grumbled, standing and creeping forward into the sandy cavern. "What matters is they form a trail." "Umm, shouldn't you take the flashlight first?" "Fine," Daen hated being distracted when on the case, even if it was a case where something as ridiculous as following a trail of potato chip crumbs was crucial. He turned and grabbed at the heavy Mag-light Jen was passing to him. Her eyes bulged as he whipped back around to his task and gave a sharp yelp. His faint dark form seemed to flip forward before plunging down through the ground, out of view. "Daen?" Jen groped forward much more cautiously, potato chips her guide. Her hand met a thick matted patch of soft but sticky something--she stopped and felt until she found the deep chasm her superior's weight had ripped in the silky stuff. "You okay down there?" "Ahhhhhhhh... crap." "Daen?" "Well, I dropped the flashlight." In the dark Jen could just make out a gray form standing out against the white webby strands. Some of it had stuck fast to his worn boots, tangling up his legs but also breaking his fall. He dangled above a deeper chamber of the caves, and as Jen strained she could hear a faint trickle of groundwater below them. "--Which is why I bring a second flashlight," she said as she nipped the little plastic one out of her pocket. The thin, cheaply-made beam lit up the spiderweb enough for her to see it had once been patching over a little crack in the cavern floor. The stronger filaments (the ones holding up Daen) seemed okay to shimmy down, so that she did while making sure to give him an "I-told-you-so" look. "C'mon, stop wiggling around so I can unstick that stuff from you." "...What?" "Jen," Daen's eyes were like saucers, gritting his teeth as he whispered. "The big thing... look behind you." Some little noises of crunching rocks, shifting gravels, further confirmed it. Jen and Daen shared a quiet moment of staring as her flashlight beam flickered over the hulking tarantula looking them over with a thoughtful look. "Welp, that's different." The giant took a few scuttling steps closer, barely fitting through the narrow tunnel the two had fallen into. Daen secured his dangling hat with a nervous swallow. Jen's nerves manifested as a soft laugh. "Usually the girl is the one who gets stuck or falls down something..." "By the way!" The creature picked at the webbing above Daen's trapped legs with their clawed fingers, "They're those prime rib and horseradish-flavored deals. I'd offer you some, but I'm afraid those bits are the last of 'em." "Oh." Jen blinked, drawn to Daen's panicked expression of pure nope-itude with both concern and puzzled amusement. "That's... that's fine." The man yeeped, the sound echoing many times over in the chamber, as the tarantula's foremost fuzzy legs poked their way under each of his shoulders to brace them. The spider was tugging the strands out with their claws before licking the stickiness off, slowly freeing the monster-hunter. Jen snorted with laughter at him flailing to reined in his hat again as he landed on the outstretched legs with a fluffy whumph. ---------------------------------------------------- :3 Hee hee. Enjoy. And another place to star Daen Terrick--my unorthodox "monster-hunter" character. He's joined by a new human lady Jen (short for Jennifer, but she hates "Jennifer" XD) Bluett, who practices common sense and safe caving practices.
